Some humor about the Democracy and Feudal State of Tonga....and the centuries old struggle between the commoners, trying to be free....with the Feudal System keeping them under its control.
This book in my opinion is a classic but the introduction is long. I understand they have to introduce a bunch of characters but I don't think it should take 12 chapters to introduce everyone. The book was about a court case where someone was wrongly accused of murder and the kids want to prove he's innocent.
This book was written by James Boss which is based on how white Americans treated African Americans, sometimes it comes with heartbreaking quotes and foul words, but its true message is to remind people that racism is wrong and unjust. It felt very impactful when the book's African Americans were constantly ingrained with opprobrium by their white American counterparts who thought the African Americans were immoral due to their skin color which is prejudiced. In the book it says that America is a democracy and it doesn't discrimiate or cast out anyone, but in the book many people are rascist and provide strict limitations to what they can do, so that means that they are downright hypocrites.
How To Kill a Mockingbird is a story about racism, friendship, childhood, and adventure. The story is about a group of 3 children named Jem, Scout, and Dill who spend their summer acting out an array of scenes. However, the following winter is when things turn when the children's father becomes a lawyer for a black child. Jem and Scout experience bullying and become outcasted by the other children in their community. Tom faces threats to his name and almost becomes a victim of a lynching. This story is heartbreaking and empowering.
This book covers the prejudiced treatment of black people in american society. The setting should be after the civil war, when black people should have the same rights but were still at a massive disadvantage.
It was a bit drawn out, but that is the reason why i only give 4 stars. The book covered premature judgement really beautiful from the perspective of young and growing children.
I am reading How to Kill a Mocking bird for my 9th grade english class. I would rate the book so far as a three out of five stars because it gets a little boring at times. In the book there is a family who lives in Maycomb and there father Atticus is teaching his children to be nice and respectful.
The book in my opinion had its good parts but also had its bad parts. The book took a long time to get to the good parts but the overall gist of the book is good. Very good book to read in high school it opens your eyes more on things.
I thought it was a pretty good book and I think others would also like this book because of the way this story is telling about the way how everyone is connecting with each other.
