“What do you mean, there’s a dead body on the parade route?” I asked. My sister Christy and I stopped in our tracks and watched as Ethan checked for a pulse. When he looked at me and shook his head, I was filled with dread.
Opening day of the Halloween season is here in Pumpkin Hollow, and so is a new murder. Mia and crew are on the case, sifting through the clues. Who would kill a sweet young woman that doesn't have any enemies?
While Mia and Ethan search for the killer, the Halloween season is in full swing. There's lots of fudge, the haunted farmhouse, and a parade in store for this episode of A Pumpkin Hollow Mystery.
Halloween is celebrated all year long in Pumpkin Hollow. There are no paranormal elements, just good clean fun!
FUDGY FATALITY is the 10th book in the Pumpkin Hollow mystery series. This is a cozy mystery series without any paranormal elements and the books are short—each one can be read in 2 hours or less.
In Fudgy Fatality, Mia and her sister Christy are participating in Pumpkin Hollow’s town parade when a body is discovered on the parade route. They snoop around along with Mia’s boyfriend, the town detective, to figure out who could have wanted to kill her, while also working in their mother’s candy store and making a LOT of Halloween-themed fudge, which, okay, is my favorite part of the book! I love the candy in this series!
These mysteries are short and uncomplicated. I save them for when I’m having bad brain fog and need something easy and light to read. 5/5 stars.
I love this series!!!! Mia and the candy store workers are excited about the start of Halloween season, and being in the parade for the town and tourists. It started out great until they turned around to go back to where they started and discovered something very disturbing. Ethan was called to the scene and you know Mia and Christy had to find out what happened and then discovered her ex is back in town. Now get this book to find out what happened.
I read this series about a year ago. So, I decided to read it again. This series is exciting. It was hard for me to put it down. If you haven't read this series you should. Will I read these books again? Absolutely!!! They are that good. Thank You Kathleen.
I love this series. Mia is so into her amateur sleuthing and is always going against what Ethan says. Now Christie , Mia's sister, is into the sleuthing with Mia so it is 2 against 1, To me, this is a must read series, especially if you like Halloween.
I like this series with a small, themed town as the setting. The characters are well developed and likeable. However, the conversations are a little too formal and not entirely natural. This keeps the story from flowing smoothly. I am looking forward to the next installment.
