There's quite a lot of personal development in these, and then the final conflict is resolved pretty quickly and with minimal fuss. I didn't understand how that couldn't figure out the superpower in use here . There's not a whole lot of rounding up of the escapees happening, mostly research and Ridley's side gig of helping women escape abusive relationships. Love the progression with the guys, these are perfect little bit sized pieces you can devour in one sitting (or plane trip) and escape the world for a little while.

Probably 3.5 stars.

This was by far the most boring book of the three so far. There's definitely some personal development going on, and we FINALLY get some (1:1) spicy scenes, but other than that there's just a lot of fluff. There's ENDLESS (I had to start skimming, I'm sorry) internal monologuing from Ridley as she thinks about what it'll take to be happy with the men, and a good helping from all of the men in their POV chapters as well. I am annoyed that NOTHING moved forward with the Reese/Cormac relationship, after the FMC blatantly called Reese out for being in love with him in the prior book and then did nothing.

The actual big bad villain and crime plotline of the story should have started earlier (or the book could have been shorter) and could have been drawn out a little more. It was a very typical "shove all the action into the last two chapters" scenario.

i’ve been reading these books for the relationships which has been great and all but i find the world and story lacking. every mystery is solved quickly and easily. sometime fmc will come up w a solution that’s supposed to be brilliant but instead makes me wonder how good of super heros the mmcs are. the thing about making someone exceptional and brilliant when they are among experts is to make said person better than the experts in a way that i a very average person would be impressed. this does not do that. when the mmcs are praising her for being awesome i’m like please it’s either you suck your job or your blowing smoke up her ass. it’s to the point now i’m rolling my eyes.

Another Win

Another win for this author. The series continues on a great path with good character development. I love the heroine and her will. She has had a lot to deal with but still fights for those in trouble. She does not allow the men to just roll over her like most reverse harem. I hate when the heroine loose brain cells when they like a hot guy. Thanks for continuing making her strong but open!

Another great book in the series with an interesting increasing cast of characters. Loving the overarching story line if the main characters as they grow closer together but not at a ridiculous speed. Racing through this series as so enjoyable so in to the next one.

Ridley and her guys have a lot going on with the Knaves that escaped her second job. This one case for Ridley is hitting a little close to home for her. Beckett is worried about the number of suicides that's going to be going on and he thinks it's connected to a Knave that escaped. The guys are realizing that they have been quite busy and haven't done more this is the relationship with Ridley. The guys want to move forward a little with Ridley but nothing that will push her they still want to go at her pace.

A wonderful addition to the series

Another amazing book in this series. Ridley is such a BADA$$ and so likeable. Her men are absolutely swoon worthy. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm so happy to see Ridleys relationship with the guys evolving. I can't wait for the next book!!!!

DNF @ 40%. I really liked this series but this one is just making me feel depressed. I love Ridley and the guys but I’m calling it quits. So far no progression on the relationships, each one still carries their traumatic baggage. Deals with suicide and child abuse. Also seems to be more dialogue than them doing stuff.
