Short version: My very first BAD review. First 3 books in set are okay and the rest are awful. Awfully written, awfully worded and awful plotting. Take my word and find something (ANYTHING) else.
#1. Temptation Marc & Reesa ⭐⭐ Reesa and her Seattle Sounders soccer obsessed friend Kylie are at bar where, of course, Reesa is crazy talking Kylie's celebrity crush Marcus Winters only to find him behind her. Marc has his work cut of for him; Reesa has him pegged as a rich playboy out for a good time. Reesa is timid and wary against getting hurt but when she's able to let her guard down fireworks explode across the room. Marc seems like such a level headed and committed man who sees what he wants and heads for it straight on. About half way through the story I started hating Reesa; she was whiney, jealous, and had a lot of aggression (especially for someone who swears she wasn't aggressive in her previous relationship). I felt bad for Marc for having to put up with all of her crazy emotions and mood swings especially when he's someone in the public eye and she's making a scene for the tabloids. Also, Reesa's Kylie was such a great sport about her bestie getting her "dream guy". Even green with envy she was a supportive friend. When she started dating Jordan, I didn't feel like that genuine friendship was reciprocated. I'm hoping Kylie's story is next; she deserves a HEA. 2 stars and a will not read again for this one because I genuinely disliked/borderline hated the heroine.
#2. Addiction Jordan & Kylie ⭐⭐⭐ I was so hoping for Kylie to get a story next! Kylie is looking for love in all the wrong places and then she stumbles upon Jordan Dennison, player for the Seattle Sounders and her best friend's, boyfriend's, best friend. Their meeting was instant sexual arousal and sparks vibrating. Kylie wants to settle down and she wants it all when she does; the kids and the picket fence. Jordan wants Kylie but he doesn't do commitments. Without ruining too much, he has his reasons!! I wasn't a fan of Reesa in the first book, but seeing her through her bestie Kylie's eyes was refreshing. Krys is fabulous! I am kind of hoping for a book with her because I can get behind a low drama girl who rushes to save the day and is all around an awesome person. 3.5 stars but mostly because some of the flow of this one didn't work for me in terms of writing. The storyline worked well and I did feel the passion between characters though!
#3. Passion Dex & Krys ⭐⭐⭐ Krys dedicates her life to her daughter and doesn't have time for a relationship. Dex sees Krys from across the room and knows what he wants. I was a little shocked to see the drama of this book didn't come from a cheating scandal or a sick child but instead from some good old fashioned daddy jealousy. I do wish the author would've explained why Jordan hated Dex so much though 3.5 stars as I feel like it had good flow and kept me enthralled in the storyline but there were some holes I wish would've been filled/questions answered. *there was no indicator as to who's story was next like there was in the previous 2 books
#4. One Kiss to Win Jett & Laney ⭐ This book starts off differently than the others in that its in a college setting (rather than our previous professional soccer team) and that the story is told from both the hero and heroines POVs. Laney is a new transfer focused on her studies and Jett is your overlyfriendly quarterback. This book also has "another contendor" in Troy, the pushy, hot headed wrestler. I had a super hard time reading this book because I wanted to DNF so many times. Regardless of how many times her increased intelligence was brought up Laney didn't come off as young and inexperienced but instead as stupid and full of bad decisions. Who goes out with a man they have no attraction to and already view as violent and hot-headed!?! Who stays on a date where the guy disresepexts them, belittles them and orders for them like they're on a Diet AND agrees to follow up dates?! And then how do you wrap it all up with an "I'm sorry" no excuse for WTF was actually happening. Pleaae note that I'm not even getting started on the roommate either because that would make me pull my hair out. I would give this no stars if I could. Ugh it was college setting but read like middle school. It honestly didn't fit in with the writing style of the first 3 books in this box set at all. Is this even the same author!?
#5. One Chance to Win Alex & Jasmine ⭐⭐ Already weary when the story started out because the guy is complaining about his steak being a "touch" overdone even though its delicious and he doesn't mind it. He doesn't want all the free perks they're throwing his way after his complaint though... then why complain? Then to say his female waitress can "get over it" because he made her cry is just 🤯💥. What is happening to this freaking boxset!? First 3 books sucked me in, 4th book was a disaster and now I can already tell you the 5th is awful just within the first chapter. Alright, let's move on and give it a try... we have Alex, soccer player and lust at first sight type of guy and Jasmine, controlling daddy issues galore and stuck in the shadow of a mother who got her degree and jumped ship. 20 or 12? Does anyone know how old the heroine is? Because they say college but she acts elementary school. 2 stars because it was better than book 4 but not by much.
#6. One Cheer to Win Ryan & Kassie ⭐ We know Ryan from book 5 as he is Alex's cousin and chose to head to LSU on a baseball scholarship. Kassie is new to us and a cheerleader excited to start at her shrimping family's favorite college. The story starts and (if you're a 90s kid like me) we jump right into cheer sex 🤣 smiling and focusing on the hot guy in the crowd while cheering for her team. I was into and high hopes I was going to actually like this one but then we had to go and make Ryan a huge d-bag. "The new girl was gorgeous, but I was Ryan Romero, the star pitcher for the LSU Tigers. I could get any girl I wanted with a snap of my fingers" and "The new girl was a prize that I had every intention of winning. I would not be ignored." Ugh. Douchey. How am I supposed to believe that she's "the one" after arrogant writing like that? & yet again, isn't this supposed to be a college book? Testing each other to see if you'd cheat if a person of convenience offered Playing? Playing games of ignoring each others existence instead of just communicating.... Feels super immature and high school to me. Not to mention all the comments about woman in general (the hostess he could have any given day) and the "challenge". Kassie starts talking about how shes hiding the relationship from her family and then BAM. Story ends. DNF ALERT! EW. One star... I finished it, grudgingly, but ugh.
*At this point in the box set I am seriously questioning why I'm still reading this 😭 but for the review... I shall continue!*
#7. Dangerous Play Nate & Amanda ⭐ Nate is a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and he isn't humble... like at all. The story starts with Nate getting caught with his pants down (literally!) & Amanda working in her family's music shop and discussing just how much she doesn't want a man like Nate (or Nate specifically) but winning tickets to the game of the man himself. When Nate and Amanda finally meet its... awful. I was getting into the banter and then Nate had to bring a look alike Mandy into the picture. What the absolute hell!? One star because there are so many incorrect wordings, misspelled words and such poor editing.. Who is writing this!? Who edited this!?
#8. Dirty Play Rey & Lydia ⭐ Cocky NYY baseball player Rey starts us off the book being the cocky sleazy manwhore at a bar talking up a blonde he just KNOWS he's going to bang because, duh, who wouldn't want to bag him? *gag me why am I still trying with this box set!?* Rey is Nate (from book #7s best friend) and he secretly wants to bang Nate's stepsister Reagan. Sadly for him, she's married but he stumbles upon her sister Lydia while double dipping in the chip dip at a fancy event. Cue the dislike, a flat tire, her rejecting his proposal for a date and the heroine publishing an article titled "Why All Men are Rapist" for the New York freaking Times and she all but names him. Then its all "oh how cute she's playing you because she likes you! I swear I almost threw my phone. How freaking old are we people? She made $800 on an article implying that he specifically, a celebrity, was a rapist for the way he treats women and I'm supposed to find this funny, endearing even and understand when the guy buys her drinks at the bar on the next page?!
I'm sorry. Its kind of the hook, line, sinker for me. This is awful. I can't read another page. Don't buy this book set or, like me, don't receive it for free. Seriously move on.
This story is actually an 8 book collection of different short sports reads. Oddly enough sports reads aren't my normal go to books. I plan to break out each book and review it. I will say some of the stories fell flat for me. If you give this book a chance, there are some cute gems in here. I'm glad I kept reading through all of the stories and found some cute insta-love reads. I would read another story by Romi since I had some in this collection that I enjoyed. Overall the book as a whole averaged a 4 for me.
One Kiss to Win or Addiction were my favorites out of this book.
Dirty Play - 3 Star
I struggled to read this one. I'll be honest, I put the book down and walked away for a long time. I knew it was a short insta-love type read, but I was so confused. It was extremely difficult to follow along and relate to any of the characters. Lyndia, I honestly wanted to smack. She had nothing to offer me as a character and annoyed me the entire story. Rey, was your typical sports man. He wasn't sure what to do with Lyndia (he's not alone). In the end they get their HEA, but it is now without a lot of push and pull and headache.
Dangerous Play - 3.5 Star
This one was marginally better on the flow of the story from the first. There were some moments in the beginning where I didn't feel the pull to relate to the characters. Nate was the one to drive me crazy in the beginning. His arrogant attitude seemed over the top. Amanda struck me as the girl next door. This one was a definite fast paced insta-love read. I wish the beginning had pulled me more. The ending was stronger and a perfect HEA ending you would want in this type of read.
One Kiss to Win - 4 Star
I actually wish the author had led with this story. It was a solid 4 stars for me. It was so cute and sweet, like any new college romance should be. This one had depth and detail packed in the short story and flowed beautifully. While still fast paced and full of insta-love, it was an enjoyable read. Laney is working to make her mark on the world. What she didn't plan on was Jett. When she was unsure of whom to give a chance to, drama brings in craziness like no other. All she has to realize is her heart will guide her in the right direction. Jett's world stops when Laney walks in to class. The author gave him a great personality. He was a fun character to read about. Overall this was a super cute story. If you want a quick read with insta-love, then this one is it for you.
One Chance to Win - 4 Star
This is another cute delicious read. It's insta everything but I liked this one. Alex and Jasmine meet by chance. This story had a lot of dramatics on the characters parts, but fit with their ages I thought. You could really feel how torn Jasmine was through it all. I love how each character got a reality check from someone outside of their inner circle. They both had to grow up in a way but also grow up individually. This is another cute, quick, steamy short insta-love read.
One Cheer to Win - 3.5 Star
This was another young love cute story. Kassie and Ryan had lots of hearts and flowers floating about them. I would've given it a 4, but really felt there needed to be some closure with her family. They seemed like a big importance to her, yet the hearts and flowers Ryan threw didn't mention meeting them or asking them something. A paragraph or two would have cleaned it up for me, I'm sure. Kassie was cute, smart, bubbly, and fun. She was captured perfectly for an older teen. Ryan was also a fun character to read about. Overall cute, fun, and insta everything. You might get a cavity on the sweetness of this one.
Temptation - 3.5 Star
I really wanted to like this one. I struggled with Reesa's past and how her relationship with Marc played out. I thought there were some really sweet moments, but I also had a lot of "huh" being said. While it is fiction and insta-everything, I just felt it a little too rushed to be believable. Marc and Reesa both had to let go to find their happiness together. It was an okay read for me, but now as enjoyable as the two 4 stars above.
Addiction - 4 Star
I enjoyed this story a lot! It is tied as my favorite out of the whole book. The way it played out was romantic and sweet. Kylie was a fun character to read about. She had a lot of great qualities and it was fun to watch her story unfold. Jordan was a fun character too. He was definitely stubborn but had good intentions. The author managed to surprise me, and I like that. It was not expected and played out well. This is again super quick in the love department but probably my favorite read.
Passion - 3.5 Star
This one picks up where Jordan & Kylie's story ends. I liked the banter with Jordan and Krys that bled into this story. It was fun adding Amy's comments to the mix. Dex makes Krys' heart stop and has this battle to win her over. Some of the interactions had it being a little too dramatic for me, hence the 3.5 vs 4. But, overall this was quick, sweet, and likable. I enjoyed how it played out with Amy thrown in to the mix.
Big Slide - 3.5 Star
This one was cute. It was still a whirl wind romance but played out well. I liked the single Mom aspect of it and think the author did a good job packing a lot into this story. It wasn't as captivating as the others, and I found myself skimming a lot, hence the rating. I did enjoy the epilogue and thought it was a perfect ending for them.
There you have it! One thing I liked later on, was how the stories overlapped with the characters. You didn't get that in the first few and they just seemed out-of-place with the rest of the set. Another thing for this reader, was after 8 books I felt worn down. It was pretty much the same outline, just different characters and personalities. As individual reads, it wouldn't be as noticeable or monotonous, but in one big book, it fell flat.

REVIEW:
For the Box Set in complete: I have to say this box set is so entertaining! I really enjoyed the common theme being sports, whether it’s football, baseball, soccer, cheerleading and the HEAT is scorching hot!! I would definitely say it’s one to read when you have the time to enjoy it. It’s not a speed read because of its length, not for the individual stories.

Stamina by Romi Hart. 5 Stars ARC voluntarily and honest review.
This book was hilarious (Rey and Lyndia, Nate and Amanda). For the next two it was about falling in love while in college and all the obstacles the young couples experienced. The other couples struggled through fear of commitment and love after past hurts.
I loved this book so much. It was a juicy box set that gave me a window into Romi Hart’s writing style. The books were smooth and easy reading.
I have to say that Book 1 Rey and Lyndia’s began quite differently than I’ve ever read. Those two were wild and crazy bordering on nut jobs. In Book 2 Nate was a sex crazy guy with the hots for Amanda. The men’s locker room scene was funny in that she took control. I recommend this box set and would read it again. Keep in mind that there are NINE stories so you may need stamina to finish. Pun intended.
I must preface this by saying I DNF. I couldn't be bothered. But I am absolutely not bothering to read a so-called romance when the heroine is such a feminazi! I can't deal with how that in any way translates to a romance. I am happy to see a player put in his place but treating it like a guy that is a player is perpetuating rape culture is asinine and I refuse to give a moment further to such crap. I wish I had known this was the premise of this book. It doesn't make a woman stronger by attacking a guy to the point of basically calling him a rapist cause he sleeps with a lot of women. I will not read anything further from an author that uses such vitriol and calls it romance

There are 9 sports romances included in this bundle..
Each story follows a different couple told from duel POV's. Although all of them are short sports romances and insta lovey they all have a unique storyline and stand well on their own without feeling like a repeat read through the book so can be read one after the other or as quick reads between books.
The characters in each book are good.. Hot alpha males of course! Each couple has good chemistry and some great sexy scenes.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys sport romance or quick sexy reads.
If you are looking for hot alpha sports stories look no further! This box set is filled with nine stories of a variety of men who play sports to the nth degree and love their women the same way!! I laughed, groaned, sputtered and sighed at these stories from Ms. Hart that will literally steam up the mirrors in the room you are reading in...maybe even the whole house!! This book is a treat for those of us women who like sports....and romance!!! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this box set.
I am an ARC for this author and I promises to leave an honest review. this box set is definitely steamy. the story lines are great and she keeps you guessing about what will happen next. I absolutely love how characters from one book are either related to or friends from a previous book. I did have a hard time putting it down. I also love that these books were put into a box set, no need to worry about what order to read them in. Romi Hart has a way with words and setting the mood. I would defiantly recommend this box. Happy reading.
Wow this book set gave us so much thought, love, tears, angry but most importantly what life is like as a young woman who is just trying to find her way in the world. Never truly knowing what life holds next. And the young men, what can we say...picture perfect description of young man today. With each story we get a bit of a different point of view but still draws you in. I congratulate you Romi on a fantastic series and can't wait to read more. Definitely this one gets a 5 star. I voluntarily reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. It is full of hotness. There are different story lines in this book .Every single one is just as enjoyable as the next. I absolutely loved all the characters and the chemistry between the characters in each one. Romi did an amazing job writing this one. It has you reading from beginning to end. Waiting to know what is going to happen with the next story line. I absolutely love her writing and hope she has more coming. She does an amazing job bringing you into each and every story. Highly recommend reading this one.
These stories show promise but have so many problems. First why would three members of the Seattle professional soccer team live full-time in New York? There's never any discussion as to whether the women would travel with them to Seattle where they live 10 months a year. The stories about the college football and hockey players read like a first writing attempt, with shallow, corny dialogue, and a complete lack of understanding of how universities operate.
This boxset has some sexy men to get you all hot and bothered. They may come across as smooth operators due to their jobs, but really they're just big teddy bears with their own insecurities. I loved getting to know these characters and how love changed them into the real men that they were meant to be all along. I can't wait to follow more of the journeys that this author will write. Thoroughly enjoyed losing myself for a few hours in these books.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
This is an amazing box set. In this box set we have 9 books in this box set. This is an amazing set that shows us that there are more to the men out there that play sports. There is so much I want to tell you about but don't want to ruin anything for anyone else. I will say this set will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Stamina is a hefty boxed set filled with bad boy athletes and the feisty, sassy women that put up with their nonsense. ;) This is a really good box set. Every one of the books is full of feels, steamy scenes, drama and great HEAs. If you like sexy, athlete alphas, smart, strong females and sexy goodness, then this set is for you. I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
As always well written stories with a great storylines and plots. This box set is absolutely a must have. It contains nine amazing stories that has a lot of chemistry and passion in them. There are rollercoasters of emotional ups and downs. You laugh, scream, cry and want to shake the characters sometimes to get them in the game.
All nine stories have some unsuspected twists which only makes them much better.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** Stamina is a box set of sports love stories where boy meets girl and has to work for her love. Rey & Lyndia /football, Nate & Amanda /baseball, Laney & Jett /football & wrestling, Alex & Jasmine /soccer, Kassie & Ryan / baseball, Marc & Reesa/ soccer and Kylie & Jordan /soccer. A great read.
Stamina by by Romi Hart is a great box set with 9 different romance sports stories. If like me, you don't really read to many sports romance stories....I think you will like these. The sports part doesn't really take over the story and there is always a hot alpha male that is there to steam up your reading. So I was excited to get this set to read!
“Stamina” is a collection of 9 sports themed romance stories. The books are either 4 or 5 star and well worth your time. Although a lengthy read, I enjoyed all the books. If you love hot alpha sports stories, this collection is for you. One-click for an outstanding reading experience. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Everything you need for a great, engaging read. I loved reading this book as it captivated me from the start. I was entertained by the characters and fully caught up in all the relationships. The characters were extremely well done and really pulled you into their lives. The dialogue between all the characters were exceptional and the book is well paced.
I am voluntarily reviewing a copy of this book that I received for free.
This boxset has it all alpha males, sassy females, steam and drama. Each story is unique so you don't feel like you are reading the same thing with different names. This is a great collection that showcases Romi Hart's writing to its fullest extent.
I received an ARC copy of this book and I have read and reviewed it. I give my honest review voluntarily. This box set was definitely different from any other box set I have ever read. I laughed I cried. I was baffled. And definitely fell in love with the characters Romi has yet again won my 5 Star votel
Stamina by Romi Hart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥🔥Hot, hot, hot! Love all the stories and all the guys! All the sports and the players on and off the field are exciting, to say the least. It's a fun romp through hook-ups and relationships. Funny, touching and very interesting. Another excellent read by Hart, always enjoyable!
This was an interesting box set. Not my favorite. I never had an author put such a twist to their stories. Some of the stories I didn't care for. I like stories with strong men and sassy women. The hot steamy love scenes was the best part I thought. The story setup was something I guess that threw me. Oh well, thank you.
Excellent box set of sports romances. These storylines are entertaining, well-written and the characters are developed. There is intense chemistry between the H/hs and the characters are realistic. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Wow what a amazing short storys that are different sports and will keep you on a ride through out the stories. You will falling love with Romi Hart writing style. If this is the first book read by her it will be well worth the read as you will feel all the emtional feeling through her words.
This is a great box set of alpha male athletes. If you like sports romance where the guy is a player in more than just his sport, and a strong woman who captures his heart, then you will enjoy each of these stories. Each story is hot and sexy with a HEA. I enjoyed each one.
