Former Dark Angel Joshua Brandon has skirted a forever un-death in the Underworld until his heart yanks him from his life of debauchery and back into the Human World. He has accepted a very stealth assignment from the man upstairs to perhaps obtain those white wings he’s never wanted until now.
But it will require him turning back to the dark side. And just after his promise is made, the only woman he’s ever loved comes back into his life. She is in desperate need of saving. But as a Dark Angel, the only thing he can do is claim her soul for his own in the Underworld.
Will he have to throw away any hope of redemption, in order to save her?
Book 4 in this popular series about Guardian Angels, Dark Angels, the healing power of love, and good vs. evil. Although, evil can be more fun!
Remember, in this world: Heaven is created by design. The Underworld is created by accident.
S. HAMIL, Sharon Hamilton’s twisted sister, writes paranormal romance with a central theme of the healing power of true love. Her characters from multiple worlds including Heaven and the Underworld are angels, dark angels, vampires and some who are not quite sure what they are. They follow a bumpy path to redemption, but not exactly what they taught you in Sunday School!
I feel conflicted about this book, because while I did enjoy it, i felt confused and like I missed half the story even though I binge read the entire series before starting this one. There was just too much going on, too much confusion too much telling but not showing that gave me a disconnect from our characters.
I did enjoy the paranormal side to this series, and I truly loved seeing the Underworld was developed. It almost reminded me of the show Supernatural when they explored heaven and hell, and angels and demons. So that alone kept me glued to my kindle. I just didn't buy the romance aspect.
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions.**
I don’t usually read these types of books but I love Ms Hamilton’s SEAL books so decided to try this book...it’s filled with twists, turns, dark underworld, page turner and while a standalone reading the prior books will give you a better understanding of the dark world of angels and demons.
Well written, fast tempo, twist, turns, good and evil, the underworld, characters are well crafted, this genre is not my usual read, the romance felt fast and forced, but I haven't read earlier books, which may but have been a better choice for me. I will read more, recommended.

The Guardian Angel Series Book 1 Heavenly Lover Book 2 Underworld Lover Book 3 Underworld Queen Book 4 Redemption
My Review .....
Remember Joshua? No! He isn’t a nice guy, he’s a dark angel with a real bad boy attitude, except that’s not an attitude. Seeing the Underworld for as many years as Joshua did changed him. Tempting angels/guardians to fall from heaven and become a dark/fallen angel. But he was given a shot at redemption, he’s done good so far...... But now God/Father wants him to return to the Underworld and bring back all those angels and guardians, simple right? No! Joshua has been with us through all the previous books, whispering, plotting and conniving in the background, so how come he got a clean slate? (Well to find out your going to have to read the other books)
Melanie loved and lost Joshua, and now with a chance to meet up with him she jumps at the chance. But when she has to travel to the underworld she’s not sure. But with the chance of happiness she has to weigh it all up. Does she want to be with him that much?
I didn’t think Joshua should have had a happy ending, he really had no redeeming qualities, but reading more about him, you have to change your mind. Loved the interaction between Father and Joshua, it did make me chuckle. I liked this book, we caught up with previous characters, we watch as he interacts with fallen angels (trying to convince them to leave the underworld for heaven) his has admits his faults to Melanie. The spark that was between Melanie and Joshua never really left them. Lots of stuff going on, backstabbing (literally) and double dealings. Who can you really trust in the underworld? The story sets off at a nice pace, and continues through the book. As in the previous three books, both worlds are written really well. Yes the underworld is dark, but it’s also fascinating, the diversity and the cultures, it’s like a dark earth, but no real law, power is everything and there are a few that want to rule.
So can he let Melanie give everything up to be with him in the underworld? And when his job is finished, what happens to him? Father says he has a place in heaven, he can earn those wings and go home, but what about Melanie? Can he really turn his back on the only person who loves him? Can he leave her a second time? And can Melanie trust Joshua, he’s lied and left her before. What’s to stop the underworld from claiming him again?
I’d recommend you read at least book 2 (this is where we meet Joshua and Melanie.) it’s better if you read them in order, I have and it’s definitely helped. I’m hoping for a few more books. We still have s couple of characters that need sorting out. So who knows. I’ll hero my fingers crossed.

I received this book for an honest review. All thoughts are my own
This is the first book in this series that I have read. With that being said, I was able to follow this book, but feel I probably would have understood things much better had I read the previous books. As I feel there was a lot going on and had happened that I was unsure of. This book is about Joshua. He was a dark angel, then moved to the human world, but everything seemed vanilla to him. Father came to him and asked him to return to the Dark World and get the Guardian's back and if he did this, he would be able to be with Melanie. So the excursion began, but the dark world was nothing like Josh had left it. No one could be trusted, things were not as they seemed, and he quickly realized this was not going to be an easy mission. He sent Melanie back up. One thing for certain, the love Josh and Melanie had for each other was strong and very powerful. The lengths they went to to be together was inspiring. I enjoyed this author's style and way of writing and hope to read the series from start to finish one day. I am glad I read this one even if it isn't my normal read.
I received this ebook ARC from the author on the condition that I write an honest review. I don’t normally read books about angels/demons, but I decided to try this book. I completely appreciate the writings of S. Hamil/Sharon Hamilton, and I’ve read several of her Seal books. This book was well written and had a good flow for the story, but I felt a little confused with some of the characters, but that’s my problem. Joshua is a fallen angel, that was once a dark angel in the dark realm and is now living in human form on earth. He is sent to the dark realm by Father to save his fallen guardians. He goes there to also get together with his love, Melanie. Melanie has gone to the dark realm to search for Joshua, her true love. They meet up and re-establish their relationship, but things are happening in the realm, that are very curious. People are disappearing whenever they resist the control of the current director. He is trying to control the whole realm. Joshua is asked to help get people out of the dark realm, and a plan is made. During a big celebration at the director’s castle, the plan is carried out, and the guardians are free. Joshua and Melanie reunite and obtain their HEA.

This was the first book in this series that I have read, and it can be read as a stand alone but I don't think I would recommend it. There were times where I was a bit confused and felt a little lost on occasion while reading, and felt a bit like the book picked up almost in the middle of Joshua and Melanie's story. I haven't read a paranormal story in a while and I did really enjoy the writing in this book.
Melanie has gone into the Underworld looking for Joshua, who was sent on a mission to rescue fallen guardians. She finds him, but from that moment on they are on constant edge and watching over their shoulders at each turn. They cannot trust anyone and have to be very careful.
It's been a long time since Joshua was in the Underworld and it is nothing like he remembered, or was expecting. His focus is keeping Melanie safe, which isn't easy to do with new enemies this time around, thankfully he has a few allies as well. Melanie is fighter though and shows her strength through out their story. They do make it back to the human realm, together.
I did like this book but would only recommend if you have read the series.
This is my first book in this series, but that doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of it.
With some very unique characters who add intriguing twists and danger, Melanie’s journey through the dark underworld to find Joshua is a teeth-clenching adventure. Once they find each other, their lives are forever changed and uncertain. They can trust very few who they come into contact with and must keep watch over their shoulders at all times.
The underworld is definitely a different place since Josh was there last. He has allies but new enemies as well. Keeping Melanie safe is his first priority but will he succeed is the challenge. Melanie shows great bravery when she travels the dark tunnels in the underworld to find Josh and then again to escape back to the human realm. There is more to her than meets the eye.
I found this story a delight. At times it gets intense and mysterious, but it is always exciting. I love angels/dark angels with the mischief they can get into and this story delivered. This is a fun read and one I highly recommend!
I don't read much paranormal, but I do so love the angels & demons factor, so I knew I had to read this series, and I wasn't disappointed. I will say this, it's really best to read this series in order to get the big picture in my opinion. Oh, let me not forget to state that this cover is simply mouth watering HOT HOT HOT! Joshua was a former dark angel, but he's made a deal with Father and maybe just maybe he'll get those white wings however it's not going to be easy. His love interest is Melanie who will be a complication in all of this though not intentionally. It sets off a journey filled with twists & turns to get the heart racing, keep you on the edge of your seat, and drop f-bombs which felt wrong since it was between good & evil, but I still couldn't help it. I hope there's more to this exciting series as I really crave more desperately, so hit those one click buttons to decide for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
As Joshu returns to the Underworld and to Melanie they soon learn that things are not what they seem
- This story was action packed - There was great world building so it seemed like you were in the Underworld - You did not know who to trust and who to not - Second chances
I felt like it was a little to fast paced and I did not get to know the characters well enough. I will state that I have NOT read the other books in the series so maybe if I did I would not feel like that. I also would have liked to learn more about the dealings in the Underworld, because it was so fast paced it went by in a world wind.
This is a story is suspenseful and filled with twists. I was a bit confused at the beginning, since this is book 4. I suggest reading the first books prior, probably would clear up some lingering questions. The storyline follows Joshua at his lowest and then he is offered a chance at redemption. Melanie wants to be with Joshua but their lives are not lining up. Joshua doesn’t want to bring her into his dark world, but she is determined to find out her true feelings. Not my normal read, sci fi/fantasy is hard to get into, but I suggest giving this book a try and strongly suggest reading the previous books.
This is an interesting story that is filled with twists. Joshua has seen the worst of the worst, so when he is offered a chance at redemption, he jumps at it. A decision he has reason to regret after he sees the woman he's loved since they met, and can't have her unless he brings her into his dark world. Melanie wants to be with Joshua, but not necessarily in his world. This is better if you've read the other books, but it's still a great story on it's own. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
This is the first book that I have read in this series and I really loved it with all it's twists and turns and all though it is a standalone book I feel that you need to read this series from the beginning to understand the story line. This book is a real page turner and I couldn't put it down as I needed to see what would happen next. Sharon Hamilton is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and I look forward to reading more of her books. I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy Of This Book.
I think this is the first paranormal I’ve read from this series. I usually read the military genre. However, I was a little bit lost for awhile but it smoothed out and I was able to understand the mission. There’s always someone that has to have the most power over everyone. Who do you trust to help you? What will you do and how far you will go for someone you love? Nicely written and very interesting read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Redemption . This story is action packed from start to finish . It's well written and has great characters . Former dark Angel Joshua Brandon has been assigned to return to the under world . He soon finds the only woman he ever loved in trouble in the underworld . It will take everything Joshua has to save Melanie and the guardians that are stuck in the underworld . This is a fabulous story . I highly recommend reading
Interesting depiction of heaven and hell. Father (God) sends dark angel Joshua to the underworld to rescue his lost love Melanie and also to bring back several guardian angels. Since I haven't read the previous books, can missed some of the nuances, but the book is basically complete in itself. I did feel that the climax was a little abrupt. I was glad the author wrapped up everything in the end. Good read.
Redemption: A Guardian Angel Romance is boom 4 in The Guardians series. Joshua used to be a dark angel for Father till he was made human. Father asked him to fulfill his promised he has made to him. His mission is to turn back to a dark angel and save some guardians. Melanie is back in the picture. She has always love Joshua. Joshua has his hands full rescuing the guardians and melanie. This book has some great twist and turns with danger all in one.
This book is was good, but I feel there were parts missing. Josh is human but use to be a dark angel. He wanted to live his life with his love Melanie until something just doesn’t click and they parted. Melanie wants to talk to him but finding him isn’t easy. She goes to the underworld to talk to him but was tricked and now she’s there and can’t leave. Josh was told to get his dad’s angels back, but it isn’t easy. This book had a lot of twist and really was good.
This is the fourth book in the Guardian series and probably would have been easier to keep up with had I read the other books. I wouldn't call it a standalone at all. All that said, that was a ton going on and I had trouble keeping up. Melanie and Joshua's story is totally about redemption and forgiveness. The story is well paced, the characters compelling, the writing very fluid. I just felt like I came into the middle of a movie with no pause Botton to ask what was going on.
So I liked this book as much as the first book in this series. This one is all about Joshua going back to his past in the dark realm for his father has asked him too. And in doing so He brings his love Melanie into it for he can't be without her and through the twist and turns he risks everything to make things right again. I am such a fan of supernatural books that I love that this one is about angels and demons and I get to see into their world through the author's writing.
Redemption: : A Guardian Angel Romance, book 4 of The Guardians boxed set written by S Hamil. Josh is back and working to complete a mission from Father. This is the book that the other ones have been building up to all this time. It’s quite a grand and explosive ending to an amazing group of books. I was fortunate enough to have the audio book and listen to hours of JD hart just whispering in my ears. Sigh…… It was an absolute pleasure!
This is definitely an interesting storyline. Such unique characters and supporting characters. I enjoyed the story and it technically is a standalone I do think with this series to get full understanding reading a couple or at least book 2 is beneficial. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
Defiantly an entertaining side to good and evil and I am stuck still on star rating! I loved the premise and the world created but I wanted more. I feel that to get the whole picture you do have to read all previous books.
Melanie’s and Joshuas story was all about second chances and forgiveness! Both were struggling with a choice made and rectifying that choice to make things better!
I enjoyed this book. It’s the first book in the series that I’ve read and didn’t have a problem reading it as a stand-alone. A dark angel tries to make amends for past mistakes while keeping the woman he loves safe. The ending was a little rushed to me hence the 4 stars.
This book is entertaining, but I'm not sure yet how I feel about it. I struggled with a two or three star rating. I'm not sure if it's because I didn't read any other books in this series, but I was a little lost at times. However, I will say the love between Melanie and Josh is soul deep. The lengths these two go to between good and evil is neverending.
Sometimes dark can move into light when you think you have it all and then it's suddenly gone. Then you have to fight for that which you love. Join this maze of twists and turns to see if Joshua will come out into the light. I volunteered an honest opinion for this book.
This was the first book that I've read in this series but it definitely won't be the last! It kept my attention from the start and I wasn't too lost but I believe that if I had read the previous books in this series I would have enjoyed it even more
This is the first time I read any of this series so at times I was confused. I liked the interaction between Father and Joshua. There's a lot of stuff going on with twist and turns that make the book interesting. I do feel I need to to back and at least read book 2 to get Joshua's full story.
I liked reading this book but the thing that kept me from living it it is, is the the pace of the book and I felt that I was reading, but not getting anywhere. That being said, I loved the characters and of course the author but I wouldn't say i would re-read this book.
This was my first book from this author and the first book I have read in this series. It was a bit hard for me get into the book at the beginning however once I continued ready the story got more interesting. A really good book and definitely recommended.
