Discover a crime thriller which will captivate you till the stunning ending.
What happens when a serial killer begins hunting in the nation's capital? For Jack Richards, a desperate and depressed young desktop publisher, it means finding himself mistakenly thrust into the firestorm as a lead suspect – only to learn to his own shock and amazement that he alone knows the true killer's identity...if anyone will believe him in time.
The storyline was entertaining, which was the only motivation to slog through the constant errors. I stopped counting the typos, grammatical errors, and confusing scene changes about one third of the way through the book. There were no breaks in the physical text indicating that one character's thoughts had ended another character's story picked up again. There were sentences where two competing phrases were typed next to each other, as if they were both viable choices, but he forgot to remove one of them. And there was a scene where the names of Cathy and Doris were clearly mixed up. There were really too many errors to discuss in one review. Now I have a true appreciation for good editing from other authors.
I could not endure this book. The characters are cardboard cutouts with depth only rivaled by Facebook. The main character is a Sad Sack loser, whose dismal life is compounded by his silly choices. He needs a lawyer. He is under suspicion for murder. He knows a lawyer friend from college. For the sake of the plot, he does not call her on the phone, noooo, he breakes into his former job site to creat a new identity on their computer, so as to "escape" and look up the lawyer. Puh-lease! Cops and media folk get the full bath in cynicism. If there is one iota of nobility in this story, it is probably the result of an editing error.
After I started reading this book I couldn't put it down I saw how many pages it was and knew I shouldn't try to read it in one setting. No matter what I did instead of reading I found myself wondering where the author was going a I was back at it. It was a really good story and great writing. I'm going for the next book he has
It's a really good story!! It held me the whole way. From the beginning, it was clear where the plot was headed, but it flowed quickly. The end was most cathartic! But there were lots of typos, extra or missed words, and the wrong names on characters, like McCallister became McMillan at one point.
This book was amazing and showed you how the media and accusation can ruin someone’s life. Being falsely accused for a crime....a crime being investigated by the media...politicians trying to save face and ruining the investigators doing their job!!! AWESOME!!!! And the revenge was amazing!!!!
Keeps your interest from page one and keeps you guessing till the end. There are plenty of characters who move in and out of the story. The writers style is very easy to read. You won't guess who it is until the end. Great story
The story was good, but the editing left quite a bit to be desired. At one point in the book (location 4854 of 9111 53%), the last name of the main character was referred to several times as Edwards when it should have been Richards. After that section, the name changed back to Richards.
Beginning with interest, slowing, distracted by poor editing, the last part was better, until the completely stupid and unnecessary postscript... This book COULD have been much better than it was. Too bad. Not totally the author's fault.
Good story line but the writing left A lot to be desired. So very many mistakes it was very hard to read at times . A lot of misspelling and misplaced words. After a really good proof reading and corrections, I would most certainly purchase a copy.
Well written, but I would suggest a more efficient proof read. Several incomplete or run in sentences and word omissions affect the reading continuity. That said, a timely critique of journalistic ethics and integrity. As our President calls it, "fgake news".
Definitely a different story line and very intriguing in its entirety. A very good ending with the arrest of the right person and especially the interview that capped it all off.
Good story line and easy to follow. Editing, leaves a little to be desired, as far as spelling and more than few grammatical errors go, my ocd kicked in and towards the end of the book, were starting to annoy me. I will read this author again.
Can't put it down story. Things are so unfair. We learn how people around crime can treat crime to their own advantage and care less about the damage they do to others.
