I never much believed in creating wealth quickly (I always thought the process had to be slow and arduous) until I read this book. Besides, what T. Harv Eker means by quick is not wealth gained in a matter of minutes or days without any effort whatsoever as is often promised by get-rich-quick schemes, but rather wealth gained in a matter of 3-5 years with a proven system that involves hard work, which is reasonable and believable.

Eker shares a system of creating and establishing wealth that he has used to build countless businesses and make a ‘killing’ off of them. He explains each principle in this system in detail (as much as 50 pages can allow) with the most relevant examples sprinkled with some of the most concise but power-packed, tweetable statements.

In explaining one of the principles, Eker says something profound: “Wealth is not just money…. Wealth includes an abundance of money, free time, loving relationships, inner peace, and having a sense of meaning and fulfillment,” which I totally agree with. I like the fact that Eker looks at wealth as an all-round kind of success, a wholesome success, and not just financial success at the expense of every other area of our lives.

On that note, in a later principle, he encourages us to enjoy the journey of wealth creation by “blending money with meaning, profit with purpose, and ‘street-smarts’ with heart.” Which is a most fitting way of looking at wealth creation.

The truth is that, at the end of your wealth creation journey, you won’t just want to have money but all these other benefits or aspects of success in other areas of your life as well. This is true wealth.
