This series is by far my favourite in the Enhanced universe!
This book follows our band of heroes to the European land, passing through what once was Paris run by various groups, then into Germany to Steinwand led by Kaiser Konig and his Stone Patriats and finally across the Alps into the Neoroman land.
They come across many issues including a Northbank emissary and the fact that Northbank have made it across the channel establishing settlements to take Variants back home for the Reaper Wars! An avalanche causes a member of the team to perish and we learn more about Columbus’s life.
The team are plagued with grief of the deaths of their fallen comrades in the previous book as they escape and warn the other powers of the threat Northbank possess. And being stalked by a dozen Reapers who are terrifying, and more advanced than those previously met ... almost like a dozen Mantis’s.
I’ve said this before this is the darkest instalment of the Enhanced universe and is by far my favourite. I enjoy how Edge incorporates the fear of the unknown into our characters, and how each of them are unique. I just hope they all survive.

I have the box set of this series and book four was as enjoyable as the previous three.
Paige and company finally cross to new lands in the hope of finding allies against the coming devastation...
Imaginative, with a great of place, this author paints brilliant pictures of not only the new land but also thoughts and feelings of the majority of the characters, despite it being a first-person narrative.
The enemy is despicable, who knows what the future holds if the VLA fails in its vital mission? Though we can guess.
Certainly a page-turner and highly recommended.

Pathfinder is the 4th book in the Variant series and it definitely doesn't disappoint. Loads of action, suspense and excitement in this book.
I enjoyed it so much and I highly recommend it.
A few of the VLA are attempting to escape from the Walled Island to search for help from others outside the city, as Paige's father once did.
You won't want to miss their enthralling journey.
I cant wait to read the next one in the series.

Always a page turner
Amazing story telling and world building with strong female characters who are great warriors and yet still have insecurities we can all relate to. When the world has descended into madness with the Coronavirus at large this is the perfect way to escape reality for awhile. Being stuck at home these stories are a way of occupying a few hours, well worth the time.

I can’t believe I thought this series was starting off bland... Boy, has it ever gotten good! The group has made their way across to “the lost continent” and have met several new people along the way. This isn’t an easy journey for them but the keep pressing on, determined to rally help for Variants. As usual, this book leaves you hanging but I’m so ready to see where Paige goes next!

Love this world!
I was so excited when this book came out that I stopped in the middle of another book to read this! (That’s not something I’ve ever done before.) Now I’m just hoping it doesn’t take long for the rest to come out!

The fourth book in the series and it certainly gets better by each book. There is some loss to the group and some errors but they overcome this together. I really getting into the story now and after a climatic ending I need to see what happens.

Great read front to back

Excellent read !! very exciting, scary, heart wrenching, and action packed fighting with mad skills and powers !! Super great series ! Highly recommend just loved this series !!
