I love the book, I love the movie. This is a companion to the movie. Half Matilda’s Diary and half Mara’s diary. Includes interesting facts about the production of the film.

I remember nattering my Mum and Dad something awful for this book when I was a little girl.

When they bought it for me it was read over and over. It's full of so many cute little bits about the filming of the movie and some great set photographs, but at some point it disappeared like so many childhood treasures do.

I found it again on eBay the other day for less then £2 and I read it as soon as the post man delivered it. This was such a delightful wave of nostalgia that really brighten my day.

I had this when I was a wee small and Matilda was my favorite movie in the world and until yesterday I thought I'd hallucinated it because I couldn't find it, until I stumbled across it at work. Me? Crying over finding a beloved childhood book? Absolutely.

I remember spending my birthday vouchers on this book when I was seven years old.
I must have read it about a hundred times, just a fun read full of memories of one of my all time 'being a kid' films.
