I am still enjoying the series so far! Chase and Leah were pretty good together. I loved how Leah wasn’t scared to voice what she wanted in and out of the bedroom. However, I do wish that things would have wrapped up on page. Especially things with her boss. I’m excited to read about Nate and Ember’s story coming out soon!

Good
Chase has been burned by his ex when she cheated on him and he doesn’t want to get close to another woman again. That all changes when he meets Leah. He runs from her on their first meeting not ready to open up. The second time he saves her from a burning building and realizes she is the one for him. Leah has been having trouble with her boss, he is a sleazy man who won’t take no for an answer. When she sees some nasty texts he has sent her Chase over reacts and kicks her out. Chase has trust issues and Lexi fears she has lost him for good.

Completely safe. No ow drama, h’s boss is a slug and is always hitting on her. He is the reason their work building was on fire and he sent her some nasty texts later in. Both are not virgins and pasts aren’t mentioned except H’s ex cheated on him. No abuse.

Short and pretty sweet!!
Chase doesn't wanna date anyone at the moment since his ex left a bad taste in his mouth. So he avoid woman, until he spots Leah at the store almost falling over and he saves her.. and runs away trying to protect himself. He also saves her again in a office fire thanks to a creepy coworker who tried to flirt with her. Leah is tired and after almost dying thanks to a creep she just wants to go home but Chase her firefighter wont let her since she's injured.
Things get steamy for them until a misunderstanding happens that has Chase ignoring her. Leah friend Ember had a plan.. stupid one but a plan.. and it works..
I wanna read Ember and Nates story next.

Chase is a firefighter who was cheated on by his last girlfriend and he is miserable. He is in the supermarket and sees Leah who is trying to reach an item on a top shelf and is climbing up and falls, he catches her and is instantly attracted to her and Leah is too but just before she gets his phone number, Chase rushes off.
The next day there is an office fire which is caused by Leah’s boss who has been creeping on her. Leah is rescued from the fire after going back to retrieve the only photo she has of her mother and her. Chase rescues her from the fire and later she is released from the hospital to his care. Where after sleeping in the same bed as her. They spend the next day in sexy times and steaming up the sheets.
Chase sees Leah with her phone and he sees a guy telling her he wants to see her naked, but doesn’t give Leah a chance to explain the situation and he tells her to leave. Then a while later he is called to a fire and it is Leah’s place and it’s a burned pizza. They talk about her boss and Chase fixes things up and they eventually have their happily ever after with a growing family.

I really enjoyed this book. Firefighters are awesome and so hot. Love stories with Firefighters.

This is a really sweet and sexy firefighter short story. Chase was betrayed by his fiancé so he’s sworn off women for good, but when his fire team go grocery shopping, he comes to the rescue of a beautiful, sassy and curvaceous young woman. He’s drawn to her immediately and the attraction is mutual. Leah cannot believe that such a sexy, gorgeous firefighter has broken her fall in the supermarket. She tries to pluck up the courage to ask for his number but doesn’t get the chance. Both of them obsess over each other until a few days later when Chase comes to her rescue for a second time. Leah works to live, she hates her job and she hates her creepy, inappropriate boss. When Chase sees the texts from him to her, he gets the wrong end of the stick and everything goes pear shaped. This is a fun short story with likeable characters and a lot of heat, and there is a HEA ;-) An entertaining read.

The third time is the charm
Chase is the second book in the Stryker County Fire Dept. series is a funny, steamy, hot OTT insta-attraction that turns to insta-love short story. Chase Manchester is a thirty-four years old fire fighter who is jaded in the love and relationship department. It seems he caught his ex in their bed with someone else and ever since he has been avoiding all things that even have a hint of a relationship attached to them.
Leah Prewett is twenty-three years old and works in an office with a creepy boss named David and a odd co-worked named Claude that likes to burn scented candles at his desk.
Chase saves Leah first meet at the grocery store when the firehouse goes on a grocery run. He has a very visceral reaction to her in the spice aisle. Yep he wants to definitely get spicy the her curves but instead he literally runs the other way. However, he ends up having to go back for some spice for the steaks he has gotten and ends up saving Leah when she falls after climbing the shelves.
The second time Chase saves Leah is when David starts a fire from Claude's candle of the day and the office goes up in flames. Leah goes back inside to save the only picture she has of her and her mother, who is dead, and ends up almost passing out from the smoke. All Chase knows is that he is saving her and she is his, he just has to convince her of that. But after they spend a night together there is a misunderstanding over some creepy text messages David sent and Chase is out the door faster than a jack rabbit.
The third time the firehouse is called to a pizza box on fire in a stove which turns out to be in Leah's and her roommate and best friend Ember's apartment. Let's just say this one was self inflicted by Leah but Chase finally decides the third time means she is his completely.
This is a real fun, sweet and steamy short story that is well written. It has a great story-line and the characters are fabulous. The inner dialogue of each is hilarious and had me laughing. This is a definite read!!!

So this was a free ARC copy from the author and booksprout for my voluntary honest review of this read and I so enjoyed it! Once I started reading I just couldn't stop reading, til I finished reading it.It has a great storyline and great characters to read about to, plus it so molten hot, it just might melt your brain! Chase is a firefighter all of the guys have gone to the local supermarket the people of Stryker treat them like celebrities Chase used to love it but he doesn’t anymore he met his girlfriend in a supermarket but she cheated on him with her boss so he’s bitter and he doesn’t look any woman in the eyes anymore. Chase goes goes to the spices isle he see’s a curvy gorgeous woman standing in the isle he takes a good look at her then he says that she is trouble then he walks off but he needs the spices for the steaks so he goes back down and that’s when he see’s the gorgeous woman climbing on the shelves he knows that she is going to fall so when she slips Chase catches her. Leah needs the salt but it’s on the top shelf so she climbs a couple of shelves and she reaches up to grab it but she slips and instead of hitting the ground she is caught by a firefighter. Leah has a very naughty fantasy about the firefighter he asks her if she is ok Leah says even your voice sounds sexy and he laughs and Leah said did I just say that out loud. This is a fantastic curvy story I had a chuckle with Leah she was so funny and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Not enough groveling
I can’t get past the sexual harassment that Leah had to go through. (Not a spoiler because we’re shown her creepy boss from the beginning). We don’t get any sense of justice or closure. Did her boss get fired? Did he face criminal charges?
Now this may or may not be a spoiler, depending on how predictable you find the plot— Chase misunderstands the situation with Leah’s boss and thinks it’s consensual.
First off, they’ve known each other for one day, so he’s not entitled to anything. Ideally, they’d only be interested in each other. But realistically, neither of them saved themselves for their soulmates or anything.
Second, when Chase realizes that Leah was being sexually harassed to the point that she almost died in a fire, he barely apologizes for making that even worse by coldly kicking her out right after sex. I get why he assumed the worst, but he should have apologized more for how he treated her. I wish romance novellas didn’t always skip over the groveling.

Chase is a firefighter, and just wants to quietly do his thing. He's grocery shopping with his crew, and sees a hot girl, then saves her from falling. Leah works in an office, and is climbing on a shelf in the grocery store to reach something on the top shelf, and falls into Chase's arms. It's insta-love. But he met his ex in a grocery store, so he can't possibly fall for someone he meets there. And she thinks that hot firefighters don't fall for curvy women like her. Wrong on both counts. This is a great second book in this series, and really fun read. The characters have great chemistry and more than a few hot moments together. There's a little drama caused by her idiot boss, but they are headed for a happy ending. I can't wait for Nate and Ember's story!

This was a instant steamy love story.. a quick read but a great book.
Chase has been hurt before in a past relationship and doesn't want to go through that experience again. Once he sees Leah in the grocery store he feels the instant attraction to her but is scared to take that chance again and runs off after he catches her from her fall.
Leahs' work has a fire and she is rescued again by Chase, the hospital wont let her leave unless someone keeps an eye on her and chase is the one who offers to watch

Oh yeah, I love hot - insta - love - Story's. This one is well written and Case and Leah are so sweet in their uncertainty. It has a perfect length and a hot firefighter. And for sure an adorable heroine.
If you love sexy firefighters and sexy books then you will love this book and it's a novella so you can be addicted in about an hour.
Now I yearn for Nate :)

Chase is book two in the Stryker county fire department series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable.
Chase is a fire fighter that has been burnt by love. Because of that, he has no intentions in finding love. When Chase first meets Leah, he is instantly attracted but backs away. Leah wants Chase as soon as she meets him but it isn’t until her life is in danger that she gets her chance.
The chemistry between Chase and Leah is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.

Chase is a firefighter who nursing a broken heart after his ex cheated. He is at the grocery store (where he met said ex) when he sees Leah about to fall so he catches her and leaves. Leah is so enthralled with the firefighter who caught her but doesn’t think she’ll see him again. When a fire happens at her job and she goes back to get a picture of her mom she meets Chase again. This book was fantastic! Who doesn’t love sexy firefighters? I can’t wait to read about Nate and Ember. Kali is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She writes really great stories with heart. Give her and Chase a try.

I absolutely love the Stryker County Fire Dept. Series by Kali Hart. In book 2 we meet Chase and Leah. Chase is a member of the same team as Walker from book 1. He has been burned by love when he caught his ex cheating so he has closed himself off from relationships. Then he meets Leah and he is drawn to her. Trying to resist proves futile when he gets called to an office fire and she is found in the building. Chase and Leah have amazing chemistry but a misunderstanding threatens their relationship. Will Chase and Leah find their way back to each other?

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Leah fell and a firefighter caught her. She felt there was more between them she felt heat. Chase caught this young lady, he felt heat and lust he took off until there was a building on fire just had to be her he had to save. It was hot and steamy with emotions that makes you wanting more.

What's better than a sexy firefighter? How about one that needs to keep coming to your rescue when you already have an undeniable pull and attraction towards each other. This was short but sexy. We also get to catch up with Walker and meet some other characters that hopefully we get to see again. Perfect short, relaxing, and some blushing time.

No no no
So I liked the first book even if it was short and shallow. This one started off ok but it flows at hyperspeed. This is the timeline.

I'm really disappointed in this read.
So I liked the first book even if it was short and shallow. This one started off ok but it flows at hyperspeed. This is the timeline.

Walker's at the firestation and gets the call about a cat in the tree. He goes into the kitchen and no one wants to get a cat out of a tree. They pick straws and the shortest straw has to go. Turns out Walker loses. But does he? He meets Erin at the bottom of the tree. I'll let you read the rest of the story. Insta love at its shortest and best. I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Chase and Leah. She's a young women who is working in an office and her boss keeps hitting on her. So when she meets Chase in the aisle at the grocery store after falling from a shelf, she's shocked at how handsome he is. They are drawn together but a bad breakup has him hesitating. Great HEA with lots of heat.

Trusting is the issue with Chase.Getting burned will make life crazy and wild.. All the time Spent in the steamy bedroom will last for these characters.

A thoroughly enjoyable, short, sweet and sexy read. What’s not to love about this book? Strong, sexy alpha male. Sweet, hot, curvy woman. Cue the fireworks. Chase and Leah’s happily ever after makes for the perfect afternoon read.

Short and sweet
You can read this in about thirty minutes. Leah's boss is creepy and he nearly burns down the office building. But Leah's sexy fireman shows up and saves her. This book is short and sweet. The only th I g i didn't like is you don't find vinegar happens with her job. I wanted her boss to get fired.
