Meet the Blackthorne men, each one as hot, fast, and smooth as the whisky that built the family fortune, and the yachts and race cars that bear their name. From proud Scottish stock, Blackthornes never lose. But, one by one, the seven sexy men in this family are about to risk everything when they fall for strong and beautiful women who test their mettle in life…and love.

TREY – Christie Ridgway

As the oldest of the wealthy and well-connected Blackthornes, Trey always puts family first. To end his parents’ separation, he heads to France, only to find that Paris has much more to offer than one missing mother. But Trey’s not the sort to slow down even when a beautiful and free-spirited American volunteers to play tour guide.

Mia Thomas won’t take no for an answer, however, and soon Trey is questioning his all work, no play, and no commitment lifestyle. Then a family secret is revealed, and he must once and for all decide the kind of man he truly wants to be.

3 - "For this moment…" Stars.

Book seven in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series finally gives us the background and reasons why Claire Blackthorne upped and left her 60th birthday party and headed for Paris, all the way back in book one. Trey; eldest brother and general Blackthorne family fixer is tasked by his brothers and cousins to go to Paris and bring her back.

"I think we should have a Paris fling…"

What he doesn’t expect while he is over there is to meet Mia Thomas, a woman who is also in Paris for a very specific set of reasons, she’s also the woman that ends up owning his heart, a heart that suffers a bit of bruising when he learns of the ‘secret’ Claire mentioned as she left the party all those months ago…

Can’t say I was blown away by the finale to the series, but it was an agreeable end to what has been an up and down series in general.

5 Star review Brock (7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes #7) by Christie Ridgway
Trey is the final book in the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes series and what a fitting way to end a series I have become invested in. Trey is being groomed to take over when his father retires. He is known as the fixer in the family and therefore carries a heavy weight on his shoulders; his priority is his family and their businesses above all else.
When the brothers decide that someone needs to go to Paris to talk to their mother and try and bring their parents separation to an end, Trey is the logical choice. Despite his miss-givings, he agrees and on arriving in Paris meets Mia Thomas.
Trey meets Mia when he is not at his best and initially there are sparks but not of the good kind. I really liked Mia she was well suited to Trey and once the initial awkwardness was resolved, it became apparent that the attraction between Trey and Mia is intense.

Paris will give him the answer to the family secret but what will it do to Trey when all is revealed? I loved how both of them were there for one another to listen too. I really liked Mia she was well suited to Trey and brought out a softer more vulnerable side to the business man.

This is a well written, romantic, passionate read which drew me in and captivated me with the strong writing. It was also an emotional read as secrets were revealed and lives and knowledge turned on it’s head.

ARC for honest review with no compensation received from L Woods PR

Trey by Christie Ridgway is book 7 and the final book in the series 7 Brides for 7 Blackhornes. This series was everything I could have wanted and OMG...I certainly didn’t see this coming...

Trey, the eldest Blackthorne son has been elected to go to Paris and see if he can talk to their mother and get to the bottom of the secret that has torn his parents apart and been the underlying story in all the books...what he doesn’t expect is to meet a woman...Mia Thomas...who shows him that life is worth living out in the world instead of behind a desk.

Can Trey learn what the secret is about, convince his mother to return to the states and to his father? Will he and Mia open up their hearts to each other and find their HEA or will it all turn to ashes?

I really liked Trey and Mia. Trey is an all work and no play kind of guy. But when he gets to Paris to talk to his mother, he is met by Mia. She is going to help him loosen up whether he likes it or not. Since his mother is MIA, he decides to see a bit of Paris with Mia. Paris is known as the city of love and neither Trey or Mia are immune. Neither really believes in happy ever after, but they may just change their minds.

As the oldest of the Blackthorne siblings/cousins Trey has always been the one to fix things and always made sure that the rest of the boys were on the right path, so it was not unusual for him to be the one chosen to fly to Paris to bring their mother home. But confronting his mom takes a back seat when Mia enters the picture. Finding someone he can talk to becomes so important when the family secret is revealed. Is Trey strong enough to overcome the one thing that can rock him to his core? Will Mia be able to be the pillar of strength for the one Blackthorne that is used to being the pillar for all the others? This book was heart breaking and at the same time heart warming. With each turn of the page I became more invested in Trey's happiness and getting to the end was an emotional ride. I am so sorry to see this series end but at the same time I know this will be one I will re-read again and again.

5 stars absolutely! This series is beautiful and all the guys grew to have a piece of my heart, but no one can compete with Trey. His story is absolutely perfect and I loved getting to know him more. Not only do we finally get to know what happened in the first book in the series that put all of the Blackthornes in a frenzy but my heart literally burst while reading this and totally was tearing up at the end.

All in all, READ this book, read this series, and know that you might be sniffling a bit at the end, but in the best possible way! Absolutely amazing way to end the series with this amazing man and family. I also adored Mia, this woman is so strong but hurting so much, we call can learn lessons from reading her story! <3

I am so privileged that I was able to receive an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.

After the bombshell that Trey’s mother dropped before she left her husband, her family and town the rumors are swirling however only his mother has the answers. As the eldest son he has been groomed to takeover the family empire, but he now finds himself nominated to speak to their mother and uncover the truth however when he lands in Paris his attempts to find her are unsuccessful.

Mia has her own reasons for being in Paris and also happens to be his mother’s neighbor. As they both find themselves alone, they decide to tour Paris together until his mother returns. In their heads they both know their relationship is casual with a pre-determined end date, but their hearts have other ideas.

These two were perfect for each other as she shows him that there is more to life than work and he helps her heal from the past and start to live again.

Trey (7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes Book 7) by: Christie Ridgway

Ridgway could have so easily gotten lost in tying up loose ends. Instead she had the wherewithal to bring the rollercoaster that is the Blackthorne family, full circle. Trey is a tale of new beginnings versus past regret. For Trey and Mia love proves itself to be risky business. For the matriach and patriach of the Blackthorne clan, it's about making their way into a fresh start. Ridgway closes out an amazing series in the same way it was began. With a little bit of heartache, a ton of soul and an all encompassing love.

Trey is the eldest Blackthorn and tasked to go to Paris and get to the bottom of the secret. Mia is his mother's neighbor and she greets him when he gets to Paris. Trey is a lot like his father and doesn't have time to invest in a relationship. Mia is in Paris trying to complete a bucket list for her recently deceased friend. When Trey's world is rocked by this family secret he takes time to help Mia complete her list. I really enjoyed these characters and story. This was the perfect ending for this series.

Im so sad to see this series end Ive met some awesome new authors including this one. Holy crap at the bombshell thats dropped in this book but I gotta say I really liked Trey and Mia both. Mia definitely brings out a calmer more laid back side to Trey. The attraction between these two is crazy intense and once they get past the initial awkwardness they flow really well. Im really glad Trey was the last book.

I enjoyed the conclusion to this series. Trey is such an interesting character. He is the fixer in the family. He's all business. His brothers and cousins ask him to go to Paris and get his Mom to come home and to find out the secret his Mom mentioned on her birthday. Trey meets Mia Thomas. She's become a friend to his Mom and is staying in the same building as her. Mia is in France to visit sights her best friend wanted to see. However, she has been there for a month and hasn't gotten started. Trey's mother, Claire, asks him to help Mia accomplish her goal. This is really the first time since Trey graduated college that he has taken a moment off work. Neither he nor Mia believe that love is for them. But, Trey starts to feel that they are both missing something. When Trey learns his Mom's secret, his world is changed forever. He needs to think and decide exactly who he is and what he wants to be. There are a number of very emotional scenes in this book that were handled really well. The conclusion of the story was lovely and uplifting.

Trey Blackthorne is the oldest and has always put family and business before anything else. So when his mother leaves and heads to Paris after becoming upset with his father that leaves all of them confused -- not knowing what to do. So after his mother has been gone for a while all the younger siblings stress upon him that they are looking to him to settle things and convince their mother to return home. He decides to go to Paris and talk to his mother and find out what this big secret is and then convince her to return home. Once he gets to Paris he meets free-spirited Mia Thomas who makes him think about more than family and business. She takes him on a tour of Paris and opens his heart to more than he was looking for.

Mia Thomas is on her own mission in Paris. Meeting Trey helps her come to terms with and deal with her grief. What started as a fling for the two of them will become a bonding experience. And when the "big" secret is finally revealed Mia will become the strength and encouragement that Trey needs to help him decide what kind of man he wants to be.

Trey Blackthorne is the oldest and everyone calls him the fixer. He has been groomed to take over the family business. He sees himself on the same path as his father but no one to come home to. His mission, to find out what the big secret is and to bring his Mom home. Mia Thomas is on a mission in Paris. Honor her best friend's final wishes. She has a bucket list of all the place they wanted to go together but she is having a hard time starting. When they meet, there is a spark. A bargain is struck, help Mia with her list and she would tell him. For the first time in a very long time Trey is having fun. Not checking his phone or emails, just absorbing the atmosphere. Then the secret is revealed and everything is changed. The only thing Trey knows is that he has fallen in love and has lost the girl. Dad shows up and tells him to swallow his pride and go get the girl. He was taking his own advice. Just loved the ending.

In book one Claire drops the bombshell there is a secret. As I read all the books I had an idea what the secret was, needless to say I was not too far off. I really enjoyed getting to know Trey and his ridged self. Trey ends up with the secret finally coming out and dealing with the aftermath. Meeting Mia is not part of the plan but they both needed each other. I loved Mia and her free spirit her and Trey are opposite but yet dealing with several emotions. I loved how Mia was able to loosen Trey up I love how Trey was there to support Mia through her grief. Christie Ridgway brought tears to my eyes the last half of the book. At the end Trey discovered he was loved and had family he could count on. I really enjoyed Trey and Mia's story. I read on Kindle Unlimited.

Good finale

This one is definitely the best book of the series and a great ending. Finally the great secret of the Blackthornes comes out, Trey the oldest of the seven boys is sent to Paris to confront his mother at first she avoids him and he meets Mia who is there on a pilgrimage to honour her best friend who died suddenly. These two find each other and themselves in the city of love he discovers that he was born via donor sperm which rocks his world and she is afraid because she has fallen for him. There are a number of lessons learned in this book it is deep and at the same time thought inspiring a good read.

Seven books to get to the big "secret" and frankly it was anticlimactic and disappointing. The romance between Trey and Mia was good, but I was expecting a huge finale and the story just fell flat. In fact, I think the mystery and intrigue in Brock's story was way better and had hoped there was more to that that led to the big secret, but alas...no.

So, overall great series because it is great authors I enjoy, but complete disappointment in the "secret" storyline that carried over all the books.

Family is forever love

What a journey this family has from its inception to the ending. The journey involved 7 proud men finding their soulmates in the most unexpected ways. They have to learn love is more give than take, they all thought the challenges they had to face was worth the effort. Finally they are all together, stronger than ever as a family and as human beings because love is stronger than blood ties.

The last

Of the series, but also the most healing. Trey gets to talk to his mom in Paris. But what he gets is so much more. Mia is on a special quest for her best friend who died to early. Claire has been a good friend to her in Paris, but Mia made a promise to her for Nicolette. But it seems Trey is going to help her heal. But something else happens.

Emotional story of facing truths

This was one of the most emotional romances that I have read. It's really beautiful. Trey, Mia, Graham, Claire all learn to face the truth the hard way. But that itself strengthens their bonds with each other, forging new, lifelong learning and love. Ultimately, it's always love that will keep everyone together, in all hardships and bumps.

Good read

Final book in the series and as good and exciting as the other 6. Trey and Mia's story. A surprise that sets Trey on his heels. Help for Mia in dealing with the loss of her friend Nic. A resolution of the one thing that had thrown the whole family in turmoil.

I enjoyed this wrap-up to the series! Mia is a charming character with a bruised heart and soul. Trey thinks he's on a mission to get his mom to head back home. But he's really looking for so much more. A fun story with two characters who need each other. A great read

As good as the first in the series

The whimsical woman and the busy man meet, mesh and visit Paris together. The plot twists were not bad but stretch the truth a bit. Good entertainment.
