Mass Hysteria is a trilogy of young adult romantic/science-fiction serial novels that tell a continuous story. The books must be read in order, to fully understand the unfolding story.
High school can be hard, especially when your favorite horror movie becomes your reality...
I read words. I write words. I love words. Words have so much power, I understood this at an early age so story-telling has always been a part of my life. After college, I tried my hand at a few different careers - paralegal, customer service, sales. Yeah, I shouldn't have. Now, I'm following my passion and doing what I love. I write Young Adult urban fantasy, science fiction, and romance novels. I live in Texas with my husband and three kids and my endless imagination.
This review is actually 3 1/2 stars The book starts exactly where the previous one left off. After the procedure, new problems appear. One of them is Tiffany's appearance at school. The author has succeeded in giving us a character to hate.
We commiserate with the protagonist, as she struggles wit the intensity of her now full-blown emotions. You might not agree (actually I'm sure you don't) with her decisions, and get irritated with her, but you still feel for her.
The subject of the murdered lookalike girls comes back with a vengeance, and boy will you be surprised with the culprit. The reveal is actually done quite well.
This series has a great concept but I think it should of been a duology with two longer books and dealt more with the mystery and less with Elizabeth's swooning (as fun as that might of been). Still enjoyed and I think if you are a romantic who likes a whiff of scifi, you will too.
The ending was amaze-balls! Not only did it surprise me, but it also made me cry. I'm glad that I read this series 'til the end. At first, I wasn't too sure. But, folks, here's the lesson: don't regret what you can finish. Really.
This book starts exactly where the second one left off. We see new problems appear. One of them is Tiffany's appearance at school. She's a character to hate, believe me. I feel sorry for Elizabeth, these times are at her worst. As for the culprit, as I have stated before, you'll be surprised! I had to rub my eyes twice to understand the truth. Huh? Huh? It was great. All in all, this series has a lot of potential. It also has problems that need to be fixed. I'm hoping the fourth book can show a little of that.
Final installment in this serial series. Liz has her emotions back, and is not handling things well. I was so frustrated with her in this book; she's an idiot and a brat in this story. I wasn't a fan of all the teenage angst and immaturity. I was thinking a 3 rating for most of this story, but I really liked the ending. Some good suspense and danger going on! We finally find out who is behind all the death threats. I've enjoyed this unique, entertaining series. I would've liked a bit more of the sci-fi element and less teen drama, but overall, the story was a fun read. Also, I enjoyed the romantic elements in the story; very sweet!
