Sam catches a missing person case which seems completely routine in the beginning. But almost as soon as she's on the trail, things take an unexpected turn for the worse.
The search for Justine Edwards has a strange feeling of bad karma right from the get-go, but despite the girl's unfortunate parentage, Sam can't say no to finding a missing child.
As the case progresses, Sam finds herself in an awkward position, one she's not used to being in, she has run out of clues and she turns to her witchy friend, Allison Lopez for help.
Fearing the worst for Justine, the two pull every trick out of the hat and every name out of the contacts list to get to the bottom of the young girl's disappearance. Whether this case will conclude with a happy ending is just as much a guess for Sam as it is for anyone else involved in the investigation.

Sam’s back on another child abduction case indirectly related to the first. This one is a lot more supernaturally related involving demons and owls.
I like how Tammy assists her at the beginning. Maybe when she’s older…. And wow. Allison’s getting very powerful. Unbelievably powerful.
Big cliffhanger ending with no sign of the next book in sight!
Fave scenes: Tammy’s migraine, Tammy’s water adventure, Allison helping Justine and Allison’s uncanny identification of their location.

I love this book and the writing is phenomenal. Fits well into the world of Sam Moon and fleshes the character even more highly recommend reading this book
