The Lost Soul of a Child is one of the most nail biting, heartbreaking, and emotional novels you will ever read. Children are the greatest gift that God could ever give to a woman. They're beautiful, talented in their own way, loving, but most important... innocent. You would think that their cute little faces and chubby little cheeks would be enough to make parents want to fight for them and cherish them, but lately it seems as though the flip has switched and the only people fighting for them are the kids themselves. How many more babies must die or get injured at the hands of the ones who birthed them? Or the ones that their mothers trusted them with? How many more children have to go missing because of their parents' negligence and trustworthiness of total strangers? With so much tragedy in the world surrounding children, awareness is obviously needed. This heart pounding, gut wrenching, tearjerker is centered around two single mothers looking for love. By the time you are done reading these two stories, I hope your eyes open wide enough to fully see the dangers of dating men without running background checks, and that your hearts beat harder for the kids without voices. Imagine falling in love with your Prince Charming only to find out he’s a registered sex offender. What would you do if you found out the man you loved wasn’t who you thought he was? Jennesia thought she had found true love with her baby’s daddy Angel. But Angel wasn’t looking for love or interested in settling down. Finding out that she was pregnant threw him for a loop, but he decided to step up and be a father to his child… at the same time making it very clear to Jennesia that they were co-parenting and nothing more. Co-parenting their daughter Kamri proves challenging in the beginning with Jennesia wanting more than Angel was willing to give. Eventually, Angel moved on with another woman, so Jennesia had no choice but to move on too. When Jennesia finally meets Michael Walker, the coach at her daughter’s school years later she falls fast and hard. Michael has relocated to a new state to try and escape his past, but he can’t escape the urges he continues to have. Will Michael get the help he needs before it’s too late? Will Jennesia find out about Michael’s past before things escalate? Find out in the story that will guarantee to leave you in tears…
This book was two stories in one so I'll start with "The Violation of Kamrin"....This story line was so well thought out. As much as I enjoyed it, it saddened me. Micheal was a sick individual. Nothing he could say would make his actions acceptable. I think Jennesia was so pressed on having someone she looked over so many signs when it came to men including Angel. Angel was a great dad to Kamrin. I'm glad he took the right steps in the end for her sake. My heart went out to Kamrin for all she went through. The second story "What Happened to Riley" was also a emotional one to read. I honestly think Tameka was selfish. Everything she did regarding Josh was because of her sister not agreeing with it. Nothing she did had Riley in mind and she had to pay the cost for that. I definitely agreed with Kandise's suspicions about everything concerning Josh. As much as my heart broke reading this story it was a really good read.
Tear jerker, two incredibly sad stories how the lives of two childern were compromised by men brought into their lives by their mothers. It's a true reality that you have to be careful and mindful of who you date just not when you have children but period.
Both mothers have to live with the aftermath of the situation that went down and I wouldn't wish that turmoil on my worst enemy (If I had one lol.)
If your looking for a quick but exciting read that will keep you turning pages, wiping your eyes, and this one is it!
Read if you: Suspense Likeable and complex characters Quick reads
Do not read if: Are easily triggered by child abuse / violence
Wow 2 amazing stories in one they were hard to read but it truly was an eye opener for the mothers bc they both was seeking love never knowing th see danger their girls were in one survived but the other died. Josh and Michael both got what they deserved but the mothers will never forgive themselves for putting their daughters in harm way all bc they wanted to be loved and that what makes this so sad
As I sat and read each one of these stories my heart was filled with so much pain, and sorrow for these 2 kids. How could someone do the things that these guys did to babies. Over all I realize that this do happen daily to kids. I pray that people will someday have a bigger and better heart I side for kids. I can't say any more because my heart feel so much pain for kids being abused, molested, and raped. Lata
I am just speechless and in tears. Josh sure needed the death penalty. Riley didn't deserve to die dos young. Her mom will never get over her death even with counseling. The other story was sad too. I don't know how a grown man can violate little girls like that. That broke my heart because I know how it feels to be raped. I was a victim of rape.
OMG this was two of the saddest stories I've ever read. I was literally in tears. But the sad thing is that this is happening everyday in real life. We have to be extra careful of who we are bringing in to our children lives. Lady Lissa thank you so much for a story so well put together that makes you want to go out and save all of these kids.
My heart hurt so bad for the children who are going thru these traumatic experiences without any one to tell. I truly don’t know what I’d do if someone hurt my baby like this. Definitely eye opening. Thank you sis for being the voice for kids that are being silenced by abuse💕
Both stories were equally powerful. I cried several times while reading. What makes it so sad is that this happens everyday. People need to be more aware of who they are leaving there children with. Good read though.
All I could so was cry as we see this happening everyday. It was very descriptive and just made you think about the red flags all the red flags people ignore. Heartbreaking
I don't know which story was the saddest. Josh kept saying it was an accident and Michael tried to blame the victim. My heart hurts for the children and their families. Thank you for letting these young women know about what to look out for. So 😢
I love a book that has an ending, every woman with a child should read this book, I'm not given out details, because I hate when people spoil the book for me, but this book is worth purchasing, you will either see yourself or somebody you know, when you read this book.
The book was really good. It definitely had me on a emotional roller coaster the experiences that these women went through were things that actually happen in real life every day and I feel like it’s a good book to reflect on and to learn from as well.
This book is very good, it really brought tears to my eyes because it's so many kids in these same situations and it just really makes you think twice about who you have around your kids
This book raises awareness on child abuse in different forms. It’s sad but it’s our reality in this sick world. I felt sad and angry and even hurt reading but I kept going. Very good read.
I love Lady Lissa. All her stories are real life and I can feel the pain in each book. I would never wish the pain of burying your own child on anyone. And the trauma of a rape as a child is too real. This book had be hooked from page one. Good job.
Sad,but certainly enlightening, page turner. I would recommend this book. This unfortunately is a story that happens everyday, because people fall in love or lost so quick
Sad story but it happened l lot! We need to think of our children and put their wellbeing first. Child abuse is a cruel act by cowards and sick individuals
This book was deep.it really touched my heart my cousin was killed like this. Her dad beat her and she died. I almost could finish this book. You are a great writter .
This book had me from the first page to the end.I just couldn't put it down. This was a book that is dealt with in real life and the trades can relate. The author did a phenomenal job.
