Ok it’s no secret that I have a love for the paranormal. Although Ed & Lorraine Warren are my favorite files, John is a good second. Being Ed’s nephew he’s respectful & very knowledgeable on the paranormal. The Zaffis vault is familiar to be because he includes the Warrens. Even Ed comes through from the after life.

An intriguing and scary read. Intriguing because it’s fascinating, scary because it’s real. About the only thing I couldn’t figure out was why John was so against trying to get in touch with Ed, why Ed is so insistent that he needs to pass messages to John, and I guess the never-ending question - why does Ed have to be so vague when it comes to sending a message!! LOL. I wonder why the message is so urgent, it gave me the feeling that maybe not all is as it seems? It seemed a little out of character. Apart from that, I enjoyed it.

A eclectic collection of John's experiences of dealing with the paranormal and some very helpful advice for those who may be tempted to explore this realm.

I truly enjoyed this book. It provides information on a wide spectrum of paranormal activity, from the case files of John Zaffis and Rosemary Ellen Guilley, both experts in the field. As a paranormal investigator myself, I found myself comparing some of the cases my team has worked on to those in the book. Very interesting.

I liked the first book better. I found quite a few typos. (normally I don't notice ) The difference between this book and the first book is this book was more about explaining phenomenon where as the first book was more focused on the cases. I prefer the case stories.

Some interesting stories about haunted people, places and things. Includes a lot of background info and photos so you can understand. Also has personal ties between the author and his deceased uncle the famous ed Warren communicating from the grave

I love reading about paranormal experiences of others. It's fascinating. Like "Haunted by the Things We Love" this was a well written book with interesting stories. I spotted a couple typos, somehow the word 'investigation' got half chopped off at the end of the chapter, but it was more amusing to wonder how everyone involved with the book missed that!

So I love reading books like this, and tend to tolerate a fair amount of bad writing to enjoy the stories, but the narrative seemed disjointed. Probably because it's trying to be research work. I think in this case it would have been better served to have this as groups of stories with relevant introductions. This is the second book I've read with Rosemary as a co-author, and I have to say her interjections about the Djinn do become very tedious. This would be better put in it's own book (which she seems to have done already).

For those who are interested John Zaffis

I have been interested in John Zaffis before his series The Haunted Collector. This book gives you more information about his explanations of how items may become haunted, the spirits that may cause the issues and then some interesting background information about himself. I found it all to be fascinating, it just depends on your level of interest of Mr. Zaffis and the subject.
