If you didn’t have insomnia, you will now. This book is a page turner. I found myself wanting to skip words to get to the next sentence. And the worst part? There isn’t any, except the ending will keep you wanting to find the next book in the series. Intrigue. Suspense. It was great to read a book that gives you anxiety - not caused by your own worldly woes. On to the next title for this author. Looking now..... and if I find it, I probably won’t sleep tonight either.

A fast paced ride filled with twists and turns

Write to Kill surely keeps the reader captivated throughout the entire book. It’s a fast paced ride filled with twists and turns that leaves you bracing yourself for the next surprising thrill to smack you in the face. Each colorful character and storyline are easy to follow that I found myself embracing their insane flaws and strengths all while agonizing through some of the obvious poor choices made by the main characters, Lisa and Hank. I am looking forward to reading the next installment from this author.

What a thrill to read! I was on the edge of my seat this whole time. I loved the quick writing style and the absence of unnecessary ’he said’, ‘she said’ in the dialogue parts. The descriptions were limited to a minimum and offerred when necessary in good amount and not over description.

The cliffhanger at the end? I will need to order the next book asap because I just need to know how it all ends!

Couldn't walk away from It -- just like the hero!,,

David P. Perlmutter once again captures the reader's mind and emotions exp!osively and wittily. When the Everyman narrator of the book is forced to commit murder, it's only the beginning of his nightmare. For readers, it's the beginning of a hold-on-to-your-seats thrill ride full of twists and turns, evil and innocence, suspense and laughs.

I swept through it in one short afternoon, unable to wait for what might happen next. That's one reason I was sorry to come to the end of the book: it isn't the end of the story.

Perlmutter has me now! I will be looking for the next book ( Write to Kill , Book Two) with all speed. Follow David P. Perlmutter on Amazon; you'll want to know every time he releases a new book!

Thrilling masterpiece🌺🌸

In "Write to Kill David craftfully invites readers into a captivating narrative that beautifully examines the fascinating interplay between writing, morality, and the echoes of history.🔑

At the heart ❤️ of this compelling tale is a writer or journalist caught in a thrilling predicament involving crime. The clever wordplay✍️ in the title hints at the protagonist’s race against deadlines that ominously coincide with death, skillfully weaving together their professional commitments and the darker truths they must confront. I was so excited to finish it. I even brought it in the toilet to read lol😂

The characters in this story are thoughtfully crafted, particularly the protagonist, who emerges as a relatable yet profoundly flawed individual burdened by a troubled past. Their ties to the victims and the unfolding crimes add captivating layers to the narrative, making the protagonist's journey all the more engaging.

"Write to Kill: He's Putting the Dead in Deadline" kicks off an electrifying series that brilliantly melds the craft of writing with the darker corners of human nature. David masterfully intertwines heart-pounding suspense with intriguing historical context and profound psychological insight, crafting a captivating reading journey that pulls you in from the first page.

Read To Thrill: THE FINAL OF THE TRILOGY EAGERLY AWAITED

Write To Survive follows seamlessly from Write To Kill. Where a struggling writer transcends a dark London underworld in a desperate attempt to clear potentially dangerous debts and resolve his own writers block.

This trilogy has a thrilling and fascinating irony of writer, murderer, lover from the first person perspective. You're reading a story about a story of a murder that influences the creation of the story.

Write To Survive sees the reader taken along a dangerous sequence of shocking events of manipulation combined with the effects on his relationship with added temptation. Terrifying entrapment of our desperate jobless and murderous author is the overriding theme as it encapsulates his girlfriend Lisa in the worst ways possible.

How do they escape? Can't wait for part 3 Write To Live!!!
Great work David! This trilogy is perfect for TV!

David Perlmutter's books, Write to Kill and Write to Survive, two thrillers, part of a trilogy, are real page turners. I couldn't put them down and just read all night to finish one and then the other. It was like watching an action-packed movie.

I can't wait to read the third book, Write to Live, coming out in October. I think this trilogy would make a great movie, or even series.

I give both five stars because they kept me up... and left me waiting in suspense for the third, which I just pre-ordered.

Ridiculous but entertaining lol

Honestly, the MC is pretty stupid but....i couldn't help but keep reading. His gf was ridiculously supportive even after she was abused by the villains. The villains really took forever to act, and the MC didn't really think things through but he was a nice guy, a loyal bf, and helped bring a family back together. Liked this one more than the first. Even though he was still writing about his escapades, he didn't seem as crazy haha
Left off on a cliffhanger and now I'm really curious will this will go 😱

Write to Kill is a page-turner, an easy read, and fast-moving. It's hard to know if the nameless main character is cocky or regretful about his crime, he keeps you guessing. I thought the swearing was overdone, not always necessary. I will read Write to Survive, see how the story pans out, no doubt the author has plenty of surprises up his sleeve.

Book 2 is as exceptional as book 1 in this trilogy. I must now move on to book 3. I absolutely must know who this new character is and how he plays into this drama. The more I read, the more I am amazed at the writing skill of this author. I don't know what will happen to my sleepless nights after book 3.

Unique premise

I didn't know what I was getting into when I picked this up lol
I don't know why but I thought it was a book giving advice on how to write thrillers 😂
Then I realized it was actually a novel about a writer turning murderer!😱
I almost gave this 2 stars. It was promising but it was formatted weird, the start was slow and a bit confusing and....tbh I didn't like the MC. But, I have to give the author this, it was unique and got interesting towards the end. It shocked me how the girlfriend reacted to things 😂
I admit, I'm curious to know if he gets caught and how that meeting goes between Lisa and Jennifer so....bumped up my rating to 3 stars since it kept my interest long enough to finish it haha

Mad Dog

Well, the book lives up to the title. ne never knows what can trigger a person to kill a person without even knowing them, for money that really isn't that much. 20 or 30K isn't much incentive for most people, but if you are in a bind and not thinking rationally, the moment and deed os doable. The story twists and turns. The horniness of mob style people and the lengths they go to are graphic and are triggers if you are some who has PTSD then this is not the book for you. For those who love crime, fiction, murder, the seedy underworld, and graphic sex scenes, then read this. The Kindle edition needs formatting, parts are often repeated, could use editing, too. The story is vibrant and realistic so that makes it five stars.

Disappointing

Didnt finish unfortunately. The synopsis appealed to me and it had all the hallmarks of a great book but I found it to be poorly written and totally unbelievable. I understand it's fiction but I just couldn't engage with any of the characters. The dialogue between the narrator and his girlfriend Lisa irritated me immensely with the constant use of 'baby'' in every other sentence and this is what drove me to delete the book after less than 50% read. The whole thing is littered with grammatical errors too which is unacceptable. Do writers not employ proof readers any more?
With so much good fiction available give this one a miss.

I enjoyed the story but found the writing style quite repetitive (too many "as clauses") which stunted the flow in what is a quite well-paced tale. There's a cliff-hanger ending that leaves the story unresolved, but I'm looking forward to seeing how things pan out for the writer MC and his girlfriend.

Breathe!

I could hardly breathe for the whole first chapter. My heart thumped so hard as I worked my way through the scene and then the following messages from Mad Dog. Now, I must continue on with the next book. As frightening as it is, I have to know what is going to happen. This storyline is unlike any I have read in the past.

An interesting story. Too much repeating for me. The story did make me finish reading it to see how it would end. Spicy. Plot good. Good characters. (It's way longer in pages, not the 200)

I enjoyed everything about this book. The story, the writing, the settings and the characters all felt very real and alive.
I started reading this book because I needed something different to read. I have been reading so much fantasy it was all getting boring to me. I needed something fresh. This was definitely fresh. What I liked about this book was that it felt very real. The dialogue, the thoughts, the settings, the characters, they are all very relatable. You felt like you were right there with him. He writes very down to earth, Although his writing style is relatable, and he is obviously a very good writer. It wasn't lofty with too much description or a lot of big words. He was telling a story and a story is what you got in all the aspects a good story is told. The short chapters were a plus also. I do not like long chapters.
Of course, like many other authors he left it on the cliff hanging. Some books I have read that did this I never went on to read the rest, more out of a rebellion against an unfinished book or story but I bought the other two books in this series once I finished this one, because I genuinely enjoyed the read and want to know what happens.

Mr. Perlmutter certainly knows how to take you on a fantastic journey! His writing is page turning to say the lease! Name your price! Would you kill someone in order to create a tale of mystery, suspense, and disturbing consequences? An author, wanting more than acclaim/money/ but, infamy (expected yet not). Then, I highly recommend this VERY INNOVATIVE IDEA and masterful blend of thrilling writing and engaging plot! I truly LIVED MR. Perlmutter’s Wrong Place Wrong Time and, Write to Kill, once again, does NOT disappoint! Is truth, indeed, stranger than fiction, I’ll leave that up to you! Kusdos, Mr. Perlmutter!

Write To Kill is an interesting take on a crime novel, with the reader experiencing things from an amateur murderer's point of view.

An aspiring author turns to murder to subsidise his writing but gets a story to boot. The problem is, can he keep under the police radar as he writes word for word all that happens during this gangland killing?

To find out, you will have to read the book!
