Sometimes love comes along when you least expect it…
Chloe loved her job as a dance instructor, but when the dance studio she works for goes bust, she’s thrust into unemployment. She’s about to resort to waitressing when her best friend, Elle, contacts her about a nanny position. While the job sounds appealing, Chloe will have to relocate to Naples, Florida, hundreds of miles away from home…
Bryce is the divorced father of precocious five-year-old Molly. He’s looking for a new nanny to replace the one he recently fired for making a pass at him. His requirements are simple: the applicant must have experience, know CPR, and be willing to move in with them for the summer…
When Chloe and Bryce meet, they experience a powerful attraction, though neither of them intends to act on it. Chloe can’t afford to lose another job, and Bryce adheres to a strict policy of not mixing business with pleasure. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is to deny their attraction. Will Chloe and Bryce succumb to the passion that burns between them? Do they have a chance at forever or are they just…Chasing the Sun?
Chasing the Sun is book two of the Sweet Escapes Series, a series of standalone vacation romances.
Chasing the Sun: Greatvtitle that fits the story! I loved all the characters. Bryce may feel everything is about Molly but everyone knew he is intitled to find love again. Chloe diserves to be happy and enjoy life so the change of scenery is what she need to fine what she needs and to be near her best friend. It was a great story!
Chasing the Sun is another winner for author Susan Coventry. Chloe lives in Michigan and loves being a dance teacher. Suddenly she is unemployed when the dance studio where she worked closed their door. Her friend Elle, who lives in Naples, Florida told Chloe about a job she may be interested in, but she would have to move to Florida. Elle and her husband,Jamie, are friends with Bryce Bradshaw. Bryce is a single father to Molly who is five years old. He is in need of a nanny. Chloe wasn't sure about being a nanny but figured she had nothing to lose. The job was temporary and only for three months. She took it.
Upon meeting there was instant chemistry between Bryce and Chloe. He had a set of rules he followed as Molly was the most important thing in his world. He had had to fire more than a few nannys. He did not fraternize with his employees and that included the nanny. Molly also had to like her. Chloe fell in love with Molly and Molly with her. It is pretty hard to keep your feelings to yourself when living in the same house. Yet Bryce and Chloe did .....for a long while.
I can't say more without giving away too much. If you are a fan of Susan Coventry you will not be disappointed. I loved every minute of this book and I know you will too.
I couldn't put this down. She wrote it so that you knew what both sides felt and didn't use negative stereotypes about divorced parents. I felt it could be read as a stand alone but it is part of a series. The characters were believable and likable - all of them.
Chloe finds her new boss attractive but, uptight. He has many rules about the job and their relationship. She quickly falls in love with Molly, her charge, plus she becomes interested in Molly's father.
I absolutely loved this book and Bryce & Chloe's story. They have a great love story but I especially love how Susan was able to show Bryce's side of the story where he's afraid to have a relationship and risk hurting his daughter Molly. As a single parent, I know that's a huge concern of mine and I like that it wasn't just an afterthought for Bryce. It made the book feel so real. Technically this book is part of a series but it's totally a standalone so feel free to enjoy this amazing book at anytime.

Did not finish. I had a hard time believing these were supposed to be adults and not teenagers. They couldn't go a paragraph without talking about how hot the other was, nor could they stop from turning anything and everything into an innuendo. I'm all for romance novels, but neither had a personality other than 'hot.'
This book was great. It had a great storylIne & was well written.Bryce & Chloe were fantastic characters. You felt like you was living the story with her.It shows that you can make things with both putting effort into it.
