It's all fun and games until somebody falls in love...

Jase Dvornakov has always loved women, 80's hair band music, and things that go boom. He used to disarm bombs in the Navy, but he's back in Denver after a mission overseas went sideways and destroyed his future, including his marriage. Now he arranges flowers in his family's floral business because flowers don't explode.

Cookie-baker extraordinaire, Heather Reese, has had one too many rounds of heartache, so she's sworn off men and prefers to spend her evenings binge-watching game shows. Plus her no-men rule gives her time to focus on her dream come true--Heather's Cookie Co.--her very own bake shop with an underground following for naughty shaped treats. She refuses to be interested in the hot-shot florist across the street. He is trouble with a capital T. Sexy trouble, but still, a hook-up with Jase is a hard nope.

Desperate to avoid his family's incessant matchmaking, a fake breakup with the beautiful Heather is just what the florist ordered. If his family believes Heather decimated his heart, they'll leave him alone. Heather isn't so keen on the idea, but Jase is determined to make it worth her while. When a pretend breakup becomes the real romance neither was expecting, together they'll have to decide if it's finally time to light the fuse on love...

Blow Me Away is the second book in the Mile High Matched Series. Each book stands alone and can be read in any order. If you love friends to lovers with a dash of steam, this is the book for you!

4 In the End, All's Well Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
I was stunned by Going Down on One Knee (Mile High Matched #1), the first entry to this series. Christina Hovland was a "New to Me" author and her humor and heart were front and center. I was taken on a journey and enjoyed every step. Blow Me Away (Mile High Matched #2) continues the feel of humor and heart. It has its own flavor and if you are willing to buy into what is given, heat and heart will be there.

What I found most charming was the hook flip. Most of the time, there is a fake relationship, engagement, or even marriage. Never have I read a fake Break-Up...Yes, you heard me right...

We have Jase Dvornakov- a war hero who specialized in defusing bombs.
This is a man who was able to steel his nerves to where they almost did exist, to have the where with all to figure out which cord to clip to stop a bomb while under enemy attacks. Jase's fingers would work their magic and he barely broke a sweat.

Now dealing with his in your face family with their constant push to find a woman, marry her, and give grandbabies... that is a whole other type of torture. His immediate family, brothers, and infamous grandmother are determined to have him in a relationship "for his own good".

The joke is Jase has no trouble connecting with women. He Loves Women. He just doesn't want to be married. The last time he was, his heart was broken. It was a pain he does not want to experience again. So fun, yes. Each person enjoying their time together, sure. But nothing serious.

Heather Reese is done with men. She has had too many duds and heartache is an ingredient she will not have in her successful bakery. She has taken all of her frustration and focused on her cookies. She has taken the shop and expanded it with making X-Rated cookies for her customers online and locally. She has her circle of friends and stays away from any romance.

She has seen Jase, though. He came back from the Navy, a beautiful specimen of man...But he also has a reputation for enjoying all of the women, too. She will not fall into that trap.

Her resolve to not fall for Jase is tested when she is standing in front of the florist shop where Jase is rocking out while putting a bouquet together. He is dancing around, free, and moving those hips like no one's business. It is almost hypnotic...Heather clears her mind of all naughty thoughts and lets Jase know she is there. She is a little tongue-tied but gets out the reason for her to be there. She has been working with the assisted living home and wanted to do something special for them. She had presented a proposal for a Senior Prom for the residents. By going to all the shops and vendors in the town, she is looking for donations and putting the poster in the shop window.

Heather finally gets this out and Jase is enjoying his time with her. They banter a bit and then it gets even more fun with Heather shooting down any flirting by Jase. She says nothing will come of it, he pushes no, it could be good and before you know it... a whole relationship has verbally been played out before it ever happened. It is like a conversation dance, with flirting fun and an undercurrent of interest. Jase takes the poster, says he will donate and Heather goes to open her bakery.

Now the flower shop is family owned and all of his family is involved. He loves them but wishes they would stay out of his personal business. His grandmother, Babushka, is a force of nature. She is elderly but vital. You do not disappoint her, talk back to her and you love her unconditionally. When she starts up again with having a possible fix up, Jase says he has just experienced a break-up with Heather and wasn't over it yet. He figures this will buy him some time before the dating push-starts all over again.

Well, you know how a Butterfly waving its wings can cause all sorts of effects unrelated...Well, that butterfly had nothing on the fib Jase told his family...What happens next is like one of those domino videos you can see on YouTube...There are shocks, romance to melt panties, friendships between generations, and frustrations galore.

These characters each had their moments to cause the reader a bit of frustration but overall they had so much going for them. Jase, I wanted to take him aside, have a Come to Jesus moment, and slap some sense into him. Heather was so giving and I appreciated her. Overall these two were able to figure out their obstacles and gave me what I wanted.

Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. Christina Hovland can write funny, sexy, and warm. I will be looking to see what is next.

Another book by miss Hovland. It still does not leave me any impression. The beginning of the story is promising. Something like rom com. When the story progresses, it becomes very dragging.

The plot and twist is mediocre. Not much going on. I have to skim some part to speed it up. Toward the end i dont really care anymore about the ending.

Overall, i do not hate it but i do not love it either.

4 - "Sometimes avoidance is key to survival…" Stars!

The second book in the Mile High Matched series by Christina Hovland is the first I have read by the author, and Blow Me Away can absolutely be read as a standalone(although I feel like I need to read its predecessors now just to be fully up to speed with everyone).

This is a weird one for me to review to be honest, because I spent a large portion of the book trying to decide whether I was actually enjoying what I was reading even though said reading was no struggle at all, and if I did or didn’t like the main characters, of which there are three, if you count Jase’s Babushka as she has almost as much page time devoted to her as he and Heather do.

I’ll admit it was the unique blurb that piqued my interest enough to want to read the book in the first place, and as sometimes happens in life, when you are introduced to someone new, you don’t necessarily warm to them straight away, but over time and with the interactions you have, you begin to feel more amenable towards them. My feelings for Jase and Heather are akin to that. I grew to like them and their families and friends as their story progressed.

"This whole thing between us is just so… I mean. I wasn’t doing this again, and you weren’t… And now we are."

Low stress/angst, plenty of secondary characters and banter, a few laughs and an easy-going story-line, I will definitely look too read more from this author in the future.

This is a funny, well-written, entertaining, steamy, fast paced, contemporary romantic comedy novel. It has likable and engaging characters, a strong and capable female protagonist, a sweet, former military male protagonist, a fabulous prom, family drama, unusual cookies, and a happily ever after ending. Babushka's antics are hilarious! I highly recommend that you access the bonus scenes from the link at the end of the book. They are a great addition to the series. This is the second entry in Ms. Hovland's outstanding "Mile High Matched" series. Each novel can be enjoyed when read as a stand alone, but they are even better when read in order.

*4 LAUGH OUT LOUD STARS*

I think this is the third Christina Hovland book I got to read thanks to Netgalley, and I just can’t get enough! Just the kind of funny, fluffy read I was in the mood for! Dying to start number 3 in this series!

Some other thoughts running through my mind right now:
1. Babuschka is the most epic grandma ever
2. Jase is just so swoon-worthy it’s unreal
3. Can someone find me a recipe for penis-shaped cookies?
4. Dear lord those steamy scenes were hot

So our heroine owns a cookie shop. Most are the regular cookies we all know and love, but then there are the special cookies for events. Like Bridal Showers, Girl's nights, Bachelorette Parties, (are you sensing a theme?) These parties call for the more interesting cookies that involve interesting cookie cutters. Anyway, she also volunteers at a nursing home and wants to throw a 'prom' for them to enjoy. While gathering donations she comes across the hot hero jamming to some tunes while arranging flowers.
Both parties have sworn off love, (so you know their match is going to be epic). She gives him the complete rundown on what a relationship between them would be like, all the way to the inevitable break up. C'est la vie. (I'm learning French. That means 'thus is life.')
The next day the family begins their harassment of our hero about marriage, kids, etc. again so he drops the break up bomb. Now his whole family (large, revengeful) hates the innocent cookie maker. His grandmother pulls some mean pranks on her and our hero must step in to stop the pranks while not giving away his lie to his family. Can he walk this tight rope? or will he fall on his face in a vat of cookie dough?
Fun story that makes him look pretty bad a lot of the time. But never fear. This is not IRL it's an HEA.

Oh. My. Word. Blow Me Away was an absolute blast! I seriously loved every second of it.

The Gist: Sometimes family is just too much. So you have the brilliant idea of faking a break up and broken heart to get them and their matchmaking ways off your back. And sometimes your gran is a little crazy and takes revenge on the tart that "broke your heart" and totals her cookie delivery van. And somehow you wind up for real dating the chick you fake broke up with but can't tell your family about it because they're...your family and crazy. Yeah. Jase's simple life as a florist just got all kinds of messy.

Jase and Heather were a freaking hoot. He's a former military man turned florist and she owns the cookie shop across the street. I loved them. It wasn't any one thing about them just...them. They both have some slight issues they're dealing with but they're successful, creative, love the people around them even if they exasperate them a bit. They've both generous and just people you'd want to have in your corner. I couldn't get enough of them.

The romance was fun, too. A little crazy but fun. They really suit each other. Things do steam up nicely and there are some super sweet moments, too, as they fake break up and fake date and real date and deal with all the insanity around them.

Aaaaaand that would be family. Holy! I mean. They are one crazy, loving in-your-face insanity inducing bunch. Bless Jase's heart. Yes, I understand trying to keep all that crazy in check. They were an absolute riot.

All in all, Blow Me Away was a delight. I seriously hope there will be more books from this series. Hovland had me in stitches and rushing over to share the laughs with my group. From the characters to the romance to the heat (yum) and the killer humor it was just spot on fantastic.

The first book in this delicious romantic comedy series absolutely sparkled in an opposites attract so I was totally on board with another pairing from the circle of friends in a sizzling friends to lovers that had me guffawing at the over the top antics of Jase's family and the snappy dialogue between Jase and Heather.

Blow Me Away is book two in the Mile High Matched series that shifts the focus to a new pair from a fun circle of friends in a Colorado town. It can definitely be read standalone or out of order, but the references back to Brek and Velma's romance makes it best when read in order.

In this latest installment, Jase, a divorced, former Navy demo expert now florist whose business is opposite Heather's cookie bakery has the poor woman who swore off men struggling to remember why. Her bruised heart reminds her and Jase seems too much fun and temptation to be serious. But then Jase makes up a break up with Heather to get his close-knit, interfering family off his back. He's hoping for three or four week's reprieve from the matchmaking efforts when his Babushka drives right into the middle of affairs and decides that she likes Heather and she's going to do what is necessary to get this pair back together. Jase finds himself oddly on board with this and Heather goes into this zany plan tentatively.
But with cockies, strip clubs, a senior 'senior' prom, crazy relations, and a circle of friends, what could possibly go wrong?

I adore this author's fun blend of sugar and spice. The romance and comedy are balanced well and there is plenty of depth in the character's backgrounds leave room for growth. Jase has a crazy Russian family that made the meet the parents moment laugh out loud funny especially when Jase's grandmother rats out Heather as the gal who drove her to a strip club and helped her move in with a man to Jase's overprotective and volatile parents and siblings. Jase tries to protect Heather from them all, but naturally, she thinks he has to be exaggerating and just wants to hide her because he's not as into the relationship- she learns quick how wrong she was.

The story moves along quickly, but is not under developed. I liked seeing them both face their past issues with the help of friends and it was fun seeing a bit of their separate businesses of him working art with his flowers while dancing shirtless to 80's music and she in her bake shop decorating cocky cookies for bachelorette parties. I was glad to get caught up a little with the first couple and spend time with the circle of friends. But, mostly, I was smiling and having a good time as Jase and Heather realize they are just right for each other from flirty banter to companionship and more.

All in all, this second installment was as good a hit as the first book and I look forward to who's up next- maybe our sexy chef? This is a heartwarming and hilarious rom-com that I can easily recommend to others.

My thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Blow Me Away (Mile High Matched #2) by Christina Hovland

First impressions are everything when it comes to business, but what about when it comes to matters of the heart? Blow Me Away pushes all the right buttons to brighten any day. Hovland spices up the bookshelf by appealing to the heart. Jase and Heather turn a relationship of convenience into a humorous meeting of the heart. Awesome.

This is the second book in the series.. Jase and Heather's story, I hope you are following the series because you get a better understanding of who is who. We had previously met both Jase and Heather in the last story, Heather was one of Claire's bridesmaid and a best friend. Jase was Beck's friend. I have to say that I thought he would have been a little more (i don't know what word I am looking for) more playful is what I am coming up with. What he went thru and how he was surprised me a little, not in a bad way just different. I loved his crazy family, his grandmother was hilarious and awesome. We get a little a little sadness and heartbreak but we get a lot of happiness and laughs..I love catching up with the previous characters, can't wait for the next one! Grab a copy and Enjoy!

Jase is home after suffering a tragedy of not being able to save people fast enough on his last tour. Now he works at his families flower shop not wanting to get close to anyone. With his families pushing he finally tells them that Heather recently broke his heart and he can't possibly be in a relationship again so soon.
When Jase's grandmother takes actions against Heather for "breaking his heart" it takes everything to a new level. Now Heather is becoming best friends with Jase's grandmother and his family is thinking Heather is a bad influence.

Despite the crazy family stuff going and their promise not to fall for each other Jase and Heather are falling fast.

I enjoyed this story. It was cute, fun, and all types of crazy.

Disclaimer: An eARC was provided via Inkslinger PR and the Author as part of the Blog Tour. The Thoughts, opinions & feelings expressed in the review are therefore, my own.

This is my Christina Hovland and is the second book in the  Mile High Matched Series  – and honestly I am in two minds as to how to write this review.

It was the uniqueness of the characters in the blurb that had gravitated me towards the book – a war returned hero turned florist; and a baker – with misconstrued fake relationship between two people who are attracted to each other, but do not want to move beyond the flirtations they have with each other.

Jake and Heather’s relationship and interactions with each other was okay – not brilliant, not mind blowing but just acceptable – I did enjoy their interactions – I honestly couldn’t tell you – what I do know that overall, with the low level of angst with a sweet romance that were sprinkled with some hilarious banter; but most of all I adored Jake’s grandmother the best. She is snappy, grumpy but has a big heart – in fact, it was her that I kept looking forward to her throughout the book.

But it is the writing style of the author that had me enjoying the book; which means that I will definitely keep an eye out for this author in the future.

***5 ‘Babushka’d’ Stars***

Who would have thought a simple *smirk* fake break-up of a relationship that never existed would have caused this havoc? Not me. I figured a little chaos would ensue and it would maybe get a little craycray, but things would even out.

Nope. Not even close.

And the thing is, the bat shit crazy that ensues was kind of addicting because it kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next.

Would Heather and Jase FINALLY take the plunge?
Would Babushka stop babushka-ing things? (Yes, that is now a thing - trust me, read the book and you’ll totally agree)
Would the Dvornakov family as a whole back off??

And these are just the icing on the cookies and that doesn’t even include the smexy, laugh out loud and even groan in frustration moments that made this book so addicting.

Jase and Heather. I adored these two, I did, but did they take me for a ride of a lifetime. Heather is fiesty. She’s sassy, smart and though her heart has been a little bruised and battered, she still wants to find the love of a lifetime. Jase is on totally lockdown. Yeah, he is all kinds of charming and appears carefree but he isn’t. His demons ride him hard and he doesn’t want to face them. Also, he has this strange thing going on where he is all kinds of alpha and yet, he’s not in certain situations, which kinda drove me batshitcrazy, but I also kinda understood.

As for their journey. The whole fake breakup of a relationship that never was definitely an interesting way to get things going, but it only served to push things forward a bit. The two of them had chemistry from the start and the more time they spent together the more intense it grew until there was no question they were perfect for each other. Of course, things aren’t smooth sailing and I for one was totally #TeamHeather, no question about it. And as for the groveling? Alls I can say is that I’d’ve of been struck dumb too and probably agree to anything after one look at Jase.

And then there is Babushka. She most definitely deserves a shout out. She kicked this baby up a notch and was a hell of a lot of fun. I want to be her when I grow up.

This was a fun read. It was sweet, smexy and even had me wanting not reach out and Gibbs smack a few people, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved catching up with Brek, Velma, Claire, Dean and Eli and cannot wait to see what is in store for Eli in the next book!

Three and a half stars.

Jase Dvornakov was a bomb disposal expert until a tragedy sent him home to his family's flower shop where he hides away making bouquets and prom corsages. Heather Reese owns a cookie shop opposite Jase's florists. After a shocking break-up she has sworn off men, instead spending her time at the local senior centre. She's volunteered to organise a Seniors Senior Prom for the residents of the senior centre and is trying to drum up interest and donations from local businesses, including the Dvornakov's florists.

Jase's well-meaning but interfering family are constantly on his case about getting a girlfriend so he tells a little white lie, he tells them that he and Heather dated, she dumped him and he's heartbroken. We all know what happens with little white lies don't we? Suddenly Jase's crazy Russian grandmother is exacting a very expensive vengeance and Jase has to promise a whole load of favours to stop Heather getting his grandmother Babushka put in jail.

Heather is all about finding the one, she wants the dog, the picket fence, the family car and the kids. Jase had all of that, then his wife found another husband and took the dog with her. Now he's all about the temporary. Can their explosive chemistry overcome Jase's misgivings?

If you thought the best part of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels was her crazy family then I think you would love this book. Babushka blackmails her family by threatening to die at any minute, she dates multiple unsuitable guys, she throws her money around like confetti, she cooks amazing cookies and does her own thing in spectacular style. This is definitely a romantic comedy - so many things I don't want to spoil for you but I chuckled quite a lot at Jase's crazy Russian family and their antics and the shenanigans at the seniors centre.

I very much appreciate Christina Hovland sending me a NetGalley widget after I was refused an ARC.

Blow Me Away is the second book in Christina Hovland’s Mile High Matched series of standalone romantic comedies.

What can I say? Ms. Hovland had me at naval bomb disposal technician turned florist.  Jase is no stranger to stress, but his family’s expectations and meddling might lead him to do something crazy—like fake a broken heart to get a few weeks reprieve from their matchmaking efforts. When Jase’s 90-year babushka takes revenge on the "ex-girlfriend", Heather gets her first introduction to the sexy florist’s crazy family.  Heather and Jase are lovably flawed characters. However, their relationship and personal baggage are more like steam trunks!  Their respective pasts keep getting in the way living life to the fullest, and that was an interesting twist on the usual one-sided relationship history.  I appreciated Ms. Hovland’s skill at respectfully presenting a character with PTSD and throwing him into chaotic yet humorous situation.

Ms. Hovland mixes together a heap of sweet and a bit of heat to create a fantastic romance.  The story is well paced, and it allows for ample primary and secondary character development.  Between crazy babushka and poor Heather constantly being caught in the crosshairs, I couldn’t stop laughing while reading Blow Me Away.  I enjoyed this fun installment of the Mile High Matched series, and I can’t wait to see if Heather’s "cockies" make an appearance in future books.

Stopped 2 or 3 chapters in. Hero, Jase, is spineless. He can't stand up to his crazy grandmother who feels he absolutely has to marry and tomorrow if possible. So he lies that he was dating Heather, the woman who owns the shop near him but they broke up. Big red flag there for any woman getting involved with him.
Crazy grandma then uses her car, which she isn't allowed to drive, to total the woman's work van. Huge red flag.
Everyone then begs Heather not to call the cops or file for insurance against crazy grandma, who has no driver's license because they will take care of the costs of it all. Red flags flying all over the place.
Heather doesn't call the cops.
I stopped reading. It isn't funny and whole these people pacifying crazy grandma does not interest me. I'd tell any woman I knew in this situation to press charges and move on. No matter how hot his 6 pack looks, it will fade as time passes but crazy grandma & associated family dynamics will be there forever.

I don't read a lot of romance, but this promised comedy, too, and I was in the mood for something light and wanted to actually use some of my Kindle Unlimited before I canceled, so I gave it a try. It's a charming and well-crafted story with fun characters, and one of the most inventive sex scenes I've ever read (let's just say the man's bomb-defusing skills came in very useful). I'm also a sucker for interfering old people who don't mind telling you what's what, and Babushka definitely qualifies. Recommended for romance readers who enjoy madcap comedy with their love stories. This book made me think of Janet Evanovich, only without the mystery, with more sex, and with way, way more of a resolution. It may belong to a series, but the story is complete.

I seriously love the Mile High Matched series! Each book has been all-consuming and hilarious to read! All the couples have their own distinct story, but they're all interconnected as they are all friends or related in some way.

Jase killed me in Brek's book. I was so very glad that he was next in the series. Jase was funny but it was so refreshing to get to know him and why he was the way he was. Heather changed his outlook 1000%. And Jase has changed Heather.

And how would a review be complete without the zany that is Babushka?! I want to be her when I grow up. She is quite a fun character and hilarious to boot. That woman is aging goals! Guaranteed Babushka would outlive Jase, Heather and any of their offspring, just because she is that vibrant.

“I'll be the luckiest man in the world if I get to sleep next to you every night.”

From bombs to flowers. After risking his life for years as an EOD, Jase abandons the army. And sees his marriage reduced to ashes. So what does the newest bachelor to make a living? He works at his family's flower shop. But if it depends on his Babushka, single is a status that he will not keep for long.

Heather has had her share of cocky players. Now, all she wants is to continue in a serious relationship with her phallic-shaped cookies. But the sight of the handsome florist, shirtless and with his sensual dance moves can make this task very difficult.

The book is filled with funny scenes. The scenes starring Babushka are hilarious. The flirtation between Jase and Heather is deliciously sweet, with some lightly spicy scenes. The ideal flavor for a good reading.

But not everything is flowers in Jase’s life. With meetings filled with fights, confusion and lots of vodka, Jase's family may be a drag on the couple's happiness.

In addition to much romance and comedy scenes, the author delivers the right amount of drama, which makes us love the characters, cheer for them and their evolution. Overcoming the traumas of the past will be paramount for the couple's relationship.

Stuffed with great characters, entitled to lunch at the strip club and traumatic but funny scenes at the Casino, Blow Me Away has all the ingredients for a successful recipe. A book to laugh, sigh, and thrill.

Jase Dvornakov has left the Navy where he used to disarmed bombs. Now back home in his small town, his Russian family believe it is time for him to find a wife. Owning a florist shop he has begun to ask the cookie lady from across the way out, she has declined each time. Heater Reese is only worried about her cookies and her business, her love life is on the very back burner and as for Jase the flower guy she thinks he is a player. Jase’s bomb is blown to bits when he tells his Babushka that they broke up. The next morning his Babushka comes driving down main street heading right for her pink cookie van, you got it she wrecks it. There the story takes over with Babushka working at putting the two of them together and getting herself into a lot of different situations that his family blames her for. In this story, it is the guy that is having problems and when she walks away he must deal with all that he had not dealt with since returning home, or not get the woman. Babushka keeps this story moving along at a breath neck pace and the story overall is good with good characters. Very much worth the read. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars. I don’t know the best way to describe this book or these characters in a way that will do them justice. Just read the book and enjoy the madness!!

I started this book thinking it would be easy to put down when I needed to. This book surprised me in the best possible way. I was intrigued by the fake break up, the crazy grandma, and the quick, witty banter between Jade and Heather.

I took an instant like to Jase, simply because I found his profession as a florist interesting and unique. He solidified my “like” of him by how he treated and treasured Heather. That’s not to say he didn’t have faults or mess up in a big way, because he did, but he stepped up when it mattered. I loved Heather, because I found her so relatable. Her love of game shows and her cocky cookies made her fascinating to me. She’s the fun, quirky girl but she’s not the one you marry. My favorite thing about Heather was how loving and what a good friend she was. She stepped up for Jase’s grandmother, took her to her appointments and shared her home with her.

Babushka is Jase’s grandmother and probably my favorite character. She is hilarious, charming, cunning, and has a healthy sexual appetite! #goals

Christina Hovland is a new to me author that I will definitely be reading more of.

I did find myself chuckling a lot during this book. Crap! The grandmother! Jase’s family! Heather’s “cookies”! The hot romance! The friends! The prom! And, some awesome writing as Ms. Hovland pens a pretty exceptional rom-com. I only had a small problem with Jase and his trying to keep Heather away from his nutty and controlling family. Heather was a kind and caring person. And, if his family couldn’t accept her, too bad! Once Jase actually saw how he was really hurting Heather, he definitely redeemed himself. He genuinely was a good guy, it’s just that he was somewhat broken after coming home from Afghanistan. And, who doesn’t like a gorgeous man in his “dress whites”?? Can’t wait to read Eli’s book next...

Fast ~ Hot ~ Easy

tl; dr: Hot florist falls for equally hot baker

Alright, fast, hot, easy, is all I need to write, no? I mean, you get the kind of romance novel I am talking about. This one has the added charm of the most awesome old lady, equal parts vigilante and vixen. The book is escapist without leaving you feeling disappointed in yourself. Well-written and not too stereotypical. I recommend this if you see it on the shelf.

A hilarious romantic comedy with colorful characters, a witty banter and sparkling wit! I had so much fun with Jase and Heather. There was definitely craziness in the air but so much love as well.

******* AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *******

I loved getting to know Jase's family in this book. I knew from listening to the others that his grandmother was a hoot! She was! It's been a long time since I laughed so hard from someone's antics! The romance was super sweet... full of heat and some issues. Enjoyed the heck outta this! The narration continued to be fantastic. These two work well together.

A romantic comedy with lots of crazy and laugh out loud moments. Jase and Heather have to contend with his independent grandmother having a late-life crisis and his crazy family and her passion for her inappropriately shaped cookies and for the local Senior's home. Each has their own challenging back stories but with so much potential for their futures, they can't ignore the possibilities. A little outrageous in places but I enjoyed it very much.

I am loving this series! Jase and Heather's witty banter and his Babushka had me laughing out loud. Seriously so funny! Everyone needs a Babushka. Blow Me Away has it all - funny, sweet, romantic, steamy, HEA. I can't wait for Eli's story. I have a feeling it is going to be epic!

Truly enjoyed the second book in the mile high series. The characters were awesome- as they usually are with Hovland’s books. Great to see some of my favorites from book one as well.
