სულ ახლახან საქართველო იმ ქვეყნის ნაწილი იყო, რომლის სიყალბე სახელწოდებიდანვე იწყებოდა. საბჭოთა სოციალისტური რესპუბლიკების კავშირი – ასე ერქვა მას სრულად. ოთხი სიტყვა და ოთხივე ტყუილი! თუმცა მაინც ვცხოვრობდით, ვხარობდით, ვწუხდით, ვლაღობდით, ვშიშობდით, ვხალისობდით და ასე... ის სიყალბე, ის სიცრუე, მოჩვენებითობა, ფორმალობა, ის მარწუხები იმდენად ჩვეული რამ იყო და იმდენად შორს გახლდით ცივილიზებული სამყაროსგან, რომ მაშინ ვერც წარმოგვედგინა ცხოვრება სხვაგვარად. რაც დრო გადის, მგონი უკეთ და უკეთ ვხვდებით, სადაც ვიყავით.


აქ 70 ავტორის პირადი თუ საოჯახო 70 ამბავია თავმოყრილი. ავტორთა ძირითად ნაწილს „გაუმართლა“ და ისეთ ქვეყანაში მოუწია ცხოვრება, რომლის შესახებაც ჰყვები, ჰყვები და თავად აღარ გჯერა. ლამის აღარ გახსოვს რომ იქ მაინც ცხოვრობდი, ხარობდი, ლაღობდი, ხალისობდი და ასე...

არ მჯერა, რომ ამ წიგნის ემოციების გარეშე წაკითხვა შესაძლებელია. ვერ მოვწყდი. რამდენიმე საათში დავამთავრე.

ძალიან ძნელია იპოვო სიტყვები ამ ყველაფრის გადმოსაცემად. როგორ ცხოვრობდა ხალხი, რა გამოიარეს, რა წაართვეს ჩვენს მშობლებს..

მართლაც, საბჭოთა კავშირი ჩვენი ქვეყნიდან თითქოს მაქსიმალურად განდევნილია, მაგრამ ხანდახან ავისმომასწავებლად გადაქვიქროლებს ხოლმე მისი აჩრდილი, ეს ასეა ნამდვილად.

წიგნის კითხვისას შეუძლებელია არ დაინახო პატარა საშინელი პარალელები დღევანდელ რეალობასთან. საბედნიეროდ ჩემი თაობა ვერ მოესწრო საბჭოთა კავშირს, ბუნდოვნად მახსოვს უშუქობაც. ყველაზე ღირებული რაც ვთვლი, რომ დღეს გაგვაჩნია ეს არის საბჭოთა კავშირში უნივერსიტეტის აუდიტორიაში ახალგაზრების ჩუმად დაგეგმილი პროტესტები, რაც საბოლოოდ რევოლუციაში გადაიზარდა და მრავალი სიცოცხლის ფასად დღეს ვცხოვრობთ თავისუფალ და დამოუკიდებელ ქვეყანაში.

თუმცა დროთა განმავლობაში საბჭოთა გადმონაშთული ტრადიციები ისევ უკან გვექაჩება. სამწუხაროა იმის გააზრება, რომ აღწერილი საბჭოთა სკოლა თითქმის არ შეცვლილა, ზუსტად იგივეა. სკოლაში როგორც ერთ-ერთი მთხრობელი ამბობს არ წერდნენ 'თავისუფალ თემებს' არამედ 'ქალთა სახეები ვეფხისტყაოსანში' მაგრამ წინასწარ იცოდნენ რომელ 'სახეებზე' უნდა ეწერათ, როგორ და რა ფორმით, რომელი ციტატა მოერგებოდა და ა.შ ეს მანკიერი პრაქტიკა დღემდე აქტუალურია და რომ არა გარკვეული ადამიანები ვეფხისტყოსანს სკოლის შემდეგ აღარც გადავშლიდი იმხელა სიძულვილი მომყვებოდა სკოლიდან..

ბევრი რამე გვაქვს გასააზრებელი საბჭოური წარსულიდან, ნელ-ნელა ვუბრუნდებით პრაქტიკას სადაც თავისუფლად ვეღარ გამოთქვამ აზრს რადგან ოჯახის წევრებს სუსი აშინებს. გითვალთვალებენ, გისმენენ. ქვეყანაში სრული უიმედობა და ნიჰილიზმია, განათლება არ ვარგა, ქვეყნიდან გასვლა გაამკაცრეს.. ეს არ არის უბრალოდ ურჩი მთავრობის ახირებები.. ეს არის ისევ იმ ბინძური სისტემისკენ სწრაფვა სადაც ტოტალური მთავრობა ყველას და ყველაფერს აკონტროლებს.

სამწუხაროდ ფეისბუქზე დაყენებული never back to ussr ჩარჩოები ამ პრობლემას ნაკლებად შველის.

J’ai acheté ce livre dans un Flohmarkt de façon spontannée, car le titre m’intriguait. J’ai toujours été fascinée par la vie en URSS et ce livre m’a bien plu pour cette raion. On entend souvent parler du régime communiste, sans pour autant savoir comment c’était de vivre réellement sous ce type de dictature où l’idéologie passe avant la vie des citoyens. C’est ce que ce livre permet d’obtenir, tout en restant bien souvent dans l’humour.

Ce sont 70 petites histoires de Georgien.nes qui racontent des anecdotes leur faisant penser à leur pays alors sous le contrôle de l’Union soviétique. En plus de me familiariser avec ce pays d’Asie centrale que je ne connaissais que peu avant, lire ces différentes histoires m’a donné un aperçu de la vie en général durant cette période. Absurdité et superficialité du système, propagande et corruption constantes, mensonges du gouvernement envers la population, surveillance omniprésente et liberté d’expression et de mouvement inexistante…🫠

Bref, très intéressant, je suis contente de l’avoir lu. J’aimerais beaucoup en lire un similaire sur la RDA :))

I bought this book obviously during a trip to Georgia. I loved it. 70 stories by 70 writers in remembrance of 70 years of Soviet regime.
The stories are rich and diversified, covering all aspects of daily life from schooling to university to the media, writing, scientific research, NaSA, Chernobyl, etc... They are an excellent reflection of what life was in Georgia under the Soviet Union. The position of the editor and most of the contributors is clear: enough about idealizing the Soviet period. Censorship, fear and brainwashing among other characteristics are enough to dissuade the young generation and the one still nostalgic about 0 employment not to repeat the mistake of the first Soviet generation in putting faith in ideology, whatever it is.

70 stories about life in Georgia during the Soviet era, told by different Georgian public figures. It gives you a glimpse into the oppression and restrictions imposed on the Georgians, but also the absurdity of the situation and the resilience and humour many Georgians addressed it with.

I think this book might be even more engaging if you're familiar with the authors, as many of them share personal memories, which might go beyond the public role they are known for. I also found it difficult for the stories to really get below the surface, as most of them were very brief, only around 2-4 pages. Nevertheless, I would still recommend the book to people wanting to learn more about Georgia's history.

This was so enlightening, heartbreaking, and at times bloody hilarious, funny some of the things the soviets got up to. Or more accurately what Georgians got up to under the soviets rule.

ვაღიარებ რომ საინტერესო წასაკითხი იყო, მაგრამ ფაქტია რომ სპეციალურად არის ეს "პირადი "ისტორიები" არჩეული და დაბეჭდილი, მაქედან ბევრი საკმაოდ ცნობილი ქართველების მონათხრობი და არა იმ დროს მცხოვრები ჩვეულებრივი ადამიანების გამოცდილება რომელიც ჩემი აზრით, უფრო საინტერესო იქნებოდა.

Painfully similar with stories I’ve heard from grandparents, parents and acquaintances that went through the same period of Russian ‘occupation’ and communism, back in Romania.
A must read to understand the Soviet past of these countries, especially Georgia.

ისტორია არ არის მხოლოდ მშრალი ფაქტები და თარიღები როგორსაც წიგნების უმეტესობა აღწერს. ისტორია არის ხალხზეც, გრძნობებზეც, სურვილებზეც და აზრებზეც. ეს წიგნი შესანიშნავად აღწერს ყოველდღიურ საბჭოთა ცხოვრებას. დაწერილია მარტივად მაგრამ ღრმად. ამ წიგნს 70 ავტორი ყავს და თითოეული რაღაც ფორმით მაინც ახორციელებდა ამბოხს რეპრესიული სისტემის წინააღმდეგ. იმედი მაქვს არავინ არასდროს დაივიწყებს ამ დროს, რამეთუ ისტორია იმისთვისაა რომ ვისწავლოთ სხვის შეცდომებზე.


History is not just dry facts and dates as most books describe. History is about people, feelings, desires and thoughts. This book perfectly describes everyday Soviet life. Written simply but deeply. This book has 70 authors, and each in some way rebelled against the repressive system. I hope no one will ever forget this time, for history is meant to learn from the mistakes of others.

Some stories are funny, and some are so frustrating to read because the situation described is so terrible. It's hard to believe that this regime survived for 70 years. Really tight editing on a lot of the stories. For some of them, I would have gladly read a whole memoir by that author. I'm very glad I picked up this book in Tbilisi.

I hope that Georgia can maintain its independence and not have to go through this shit again.

The idea is interesting, but I hated the English. I think the translator and editor both could have done a better job. Footnotes were always great, succinct and informative. Some of the stories were more interesting than others. Some stories were so short, I could not understand their value.
