Time used to make everyone equal.

Not any more.

An agent with the elite Federal Bureau of Time (FBT), Lexie Stanton moves between the third dimension and the fourth, where time flows differently. In 2152, the genetic make-up of FBT agents has evolved so they can expand their days to 36 hours or longer when they take a special drug, Bender.

Lexie and her partner struggle to solve their latest case when four people die holding vials of an unknown substance. The victims can’t be identified, and the FBT’s lab geniuses don’t recognize the substance.

However, the lab crew can prove the deceased received huge time transfers before their deaths, pointing to one of the most powerful time hunters in the country. Rodrigo, the time hunter, has a genetic gift that allows him to transfer time from one person to another. He insists he doesn’t know the victims.

Lexie and Rodrigo are attracted to each other. But she fears his interest in her is only to manipulate the case, and to gain inside information on FBT investigations.

More victims turn up dead, and tragedy strikes Lexie’s partner. Can she prove Rodrigo is innocent, save her partner, and solve the mystery of the killer drug?

Awesome story about a future time in the Federal Bureau of Time

This is the first science fiction book I read by this author. This is about a future time when the environment has been so devastated on Earth and its people. What is unique about this story its relationship to the fourth dimension of time and crime.

Lexie is loyal and honest cop in the FBT or Federal Bureau of Time along with her partner Heath are trying to solve the crime of four dead bodies. What is unusual about these bodies they found is that they looks in their mid-twenties when they're real age of 80 years is revealed.

Since this is a Time crime they must investigate. They take a drug called Bender to help them to bend time and solve the crime. Rodrigo is a man who is interested in Lexie and can take some time from a person and transfer to another which is a mutation.
Will they be able to solve this crime without anyone becoming killed?

The characters are intriguing, unique, at times funny and sexy. The plot is fast-paced drama with many twists and turns and it's surprising ending.

I usually don't like to write about the book so not to give away spoiler alert. What I like about this book is that it is so interesting and fast-paced that I could not put the book down. As a matter of fact I went to bed at 5:30 a.m. when I completed the book. And that was unusual for me!

I find myself hoping that this author have written some more books that I would enjoy reading. Very very highly recommended for an excellent science fiction book.

This is a decent book. I probably should have given it 3 stars but I liked some of the originality and, as noted below, once I ignored the "didn't work right" part of the story it was a good read.

The time concept mostly worked but not fully....
As an intelligent well read reader, I found the flipping & action between the "third" & "fourth" dimensions confusing & at times contradictory. It did NOT help the plot line at all. I realize that it was important to the back story but... it ended up a touch confusing.

Once I decided to "ignore" that issue, the book was significantly more enjoyable. The story is well set up for it to become a series & I hope that the author chooses to clean up some of that aspect of the time element if she continues with the story line.

I did think the epilogue was a bit too "dropped in" as it tied up lots of plot lines but too abruptly.

I received this book through a giveaway for an honest review.
3.5 stars. But rounded up because who doesn’t love time stuff.
This was an interesting story dealing with time manipulation.
Futuristic crime solving. Romantic elements.
3rd dimension/4th dimension was explained really well, I thought. But then I could never really tell the difference through out the story. So I’m not sure if I just misunderstood it or if the author just used it fast and loose.
Other than that, it was an entertaining read.
Might check out the continuance of the series.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I happened upon NJ Litz's work, and am now a fan. This is my favorite of her books so far. The dark, brooding, mysterious Rodrigo is an unforgettable character... and like our protagonist Lexie Stanton, I find him both impossible to resist and infuriating... I am drawn to him against my better judgment!

The overarching concept of characters who can "bend time" is wonderfully inventive, and Ms Litz makes it believable, having obviously put much thought into both the overarching concept and the details involved in making the conceit work.

I highly recommend this book. Read it and enjoy!

I received an ARC in order to provide an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The futuristic setting was quite creative and very well done. The subject and concept of inter-dimensional time was unlike anything I have read before!

I found it a little slow at first, but about half way through it picked up and I just flew through the end - couldn't put it down.

The characters were easy to invest in. I especially found an attachment to some of the secondary characters -- good thing this is a trilogy! I can't wait to read what's next!

The plot of Time Hunter was unique. I loved the subtle backstory of things that happen between now and the future this story is set in. They were clever and fun. This is the third book by NJ LItz that I've read. Each one of her books is different, but I like that I'm not reading the same story every time.
