What do you think?

Beloved
The world bleeds as noble vampire families war amongst themselves. The Valentine and Bordeaux clans have fought for centuries over the right to rule. Until an opportunity to merge the two sides is born.
Sabine Bordeaux is destined to marry the Valentine heir, something she's known since birth. Their union will end the bloodshed once and for all. She knows her duty . . .
. . . and wants nothing to do with it.
She never expected three men, shrouded in mystery, to answer her prayers. Whisked away to an island she's only heard about in fairy tales, at the mercy of the very Gods she prayed to for a reprieve, secrets come to light that leave Sabine lost and confused.
She wanted to escape her duty . . .
She just never knew how much she'd bleed for it.

So. This one is very unique. The setting is cool, love the use of old celtic gods people don't usually know about.
But, there were quite a few things I didn't like as much.
1. our MC is a bit of a dunce. she also screams a lot and throws tantrums. constantly. Soooo much angst.

2. the love interests are super flat.
3. it dragged on and on with nothing happening.
4. kinda murdery with a lack of care for life or fucked up nature of things lmao.
5. Same drama over and over again going in circles with no end. again, lots of screaming and tantrums.
6. I swear to god if I read the words 'blood wine' one more time I will propel myself into a pile of steaming horse shit in a clown costume while singing Britney Spear's 'Toxic' at the top of my lungs.
Cool concept, but annoying read. ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

This was a pretty decent read, at least for the first quarter. After that the heroine just annoyed me with her whining and complaining. She's so mad and hurt over being forced to marry her enemy that when she is whisked away by 3 smokin' hot Gods she's still not happy. Overtime she does bond and fall in love with them but when she finds out they kept something from her she once again flips out and this time actually does run away. Made no sense to me since she's in love with them unlike her earlier betrothed. I didn't think the 'secret' was all that big a deal anyways especially since, again, she loved them smh. Everything works out in the end and they all get their HEA but it kinda fell flat for me because of my dislike of the heroine.

Okay I have read other books by this author and liked them but this one didn't do anything for me really. it was far too short for a reverse Harem and the ending was just shocking. What was the point if she was going end up back where she started? Some parts were a little steamy but over all the contentedness of the mc was annoying and ruined the book for me.

Of course I loved this story, it is written by one of my favourite authors, and again she delivers something different and unexpected. This time the author broke my heart and tore my soul out. This book was so emotional.
It is so beautifully written and I feel like the author has poured her heart and soul into this story, this story feels personal, and the worst part is that I could relate. The story is about personal choices, or lack there of. It is about love and betrayal by those you love most. It is about choosing lesser of evils and fighting to have any choice in the first place.
Some of the events in this book are so painful, and the author has done a fantastic job conveying all of these emotions. There were moments when I wished she was less skilled of a writer. The world the author created is harsh. Some live better than others but they all have one thing in common, lack of choice.
Sabine, the main character, is the only one willing to go against the imposed norms, duties and commitments and fight for the choice to make her own decisions. She is not your usual strong character, she is just a regular person without any particular skills, but what she has in incredible amount is her need to be free, and will to fight for it. And no matter how difficult the things get, she keeps on fighting. Sabine is a truly remarkable character and I love her dearly.
This author never seizes to amaze me, from her first book, every single book was something new and a surprise. Her writing is amazing, as is her skill to create a great story. This one is no exception. And the ending is the true testament of her skill and the ability to prove a point. I loved it so much. I loved the story and I love this author more and more with each book.

OH MY WORD, this book is incredible. This book had me torn in so many ways! Sabine, I do not know what to say. She is a vampire from a noble family and is being wedded off to stop the warring with her family and the Valentines. So on the day she dreaded, something happens and oh boy does it get crazy. Meet the Gods Taranis, Esos and Toutates who have been watching Sabine for a long time. These gods show up and save her well to them that is what they are doing. To everyone else is a different story. These guys are keeping a secret from Sabine. She did not want to go through with her marriage to Marquis but yet she does not want to stay where she is at. She is going through so many emotions. However she meets Lillith and learns more information about the guys! She still wants to make her on choices but feels that they are always taken away. So what happens when she finally finds out what is really going on? What will she decide? There may be heartbreak in store for one or all? There is a lot of emotions, turmoil and tragedy that befall many but there is also love that wins. Overall this book is gripping and will keep you entranced til the end. This book is outstanding.

Poppy Woods is a favorite author of mine, I'll insta-buy all her titles because she's just bloody-brilliant! And my favorite paranormal creatures are vampires, so I knew she wouldn't let me down and she didn't!
I loved Poppy's take on vampires/gods and the world she weaved for us. Not only was the characters--particularly Sabine, my sassy, kick-a** queen--outstanding, but her imagery was off-the-charts. I could literally see the scenery jump off the page and I find that it's hard for me to find authors who add a lot of description and imagery and make it enjoyable, without being too much that it bores you. Poppy has a wonderful control of language and I just adored this book.
Highly recommend!!! And if you like this book, I recommend her other books as well.

Poppy is literally the QUEEN of PNR! Sabine and her men had me fanning myself more times than I care to count. This PNR can be read as a stand-alone, but hopefully there will be more in the series.
Sabine is a Noble, this series version of a vampire, and belongs to the Bordeaux bloodline. She is forced into an arranged marriage with the heir to the Valentine bloodline in order to bring peace to their shared kingdom. There’s one problem though: on her wedding day she is kidnapped and taken to a mystical island. The book follows her growth into the badass she knows she can be, and ends with her kicking butt and taking names.
I highly recommend this book! Poppy weaves this world in such a way that you can imagine yourself fighting for freedom right along with Sabine. The three Gods are well written and the scenes between the four main characters are so amazing!

Something different
Poppy writes amazing stories you can get lost in for days, and leave you begging for more.
Although this book has a form of HAE it has room to grow into a maybe next book, this as extra info.
Now for the book, we meet Sabine as a snobby woman with some issues, the biggest one her parents who have sold her like old cattle. She is determined to fight her destiny at whatever cost necessary. In my opinion I would have rolled over and play mate for those kidnappers immediately but she wants it to be her choice. And it makes her the most strong willed heroine I have read about.
Amazing written story and really hope Poppy will add another book to this world.

Beloved follows Sabine as she traverses life as one of the members of an important vampire house.
I really liked Sabine. Especially the further into the book we got. I didn't always agree with her, but that's ok. Even more, that's good because it made me feel.
The guys.................. well, they made me feel too. Probably not the way the rest of you are, but the fact that I had feelings towards them speaks volumes. Poppy somehow manages to make me put myself in the scenario and react.
The plot is clear and makes sense. The writing style is easy to follow with no super flowery unnecessary mess added in.
I would recommend.

I can’t gush enough about this book. I was immediately sucked (pun intended) in to this world. I resonated with Sabine feeling trapped in the life she had no choices in. Though she may have done petty things, her pain was understandable.
The guys are mysterious in all the best ways. Although, at times I felt annoyed at the things they were hiding from Sabine.
I loved this take on Vampires and Gods. Especially the fact that they were Celtic gods which we don’t see enough of in books. Poppy Woods killed it yet again and I can’t wait for more from her.

Be careful what you prey for
Sabine hates the life that she was born into and she can't get her parents to understand she's more than just a tool. She makes a prayer that gets answered but the answer she gets leaves her in much of the same situation.
The relationship building in this book was excellent. I feel like I really got to know each individual characters even sabines parents.
My favorite line of the book was "a decision made without options isn't a decision at all". No truer words have been spoken and that's all that Sabine wants...to make decisions in her life. Easier said than done

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Wow, this book. Talk about some hotter than hot Gods: Esos, Taranis and Toutates. Man, I could close my eyes and just picture them.
Okay, back to the review. I loved Sabine's character. Ms. Woods did a good job showing the internal struggles that she was experiencing. Everything from questioning who/what she was yo her parents decisions and more. She grew throughout the story.
There was action, love (yes, some steamy scenes), and betrayal.
This book left me wanting more!

I'm speechless. I don't even know where to begin. I loved this story so much!!! I could never predict what happened at any point. The words drew me in and kept bold of me until the last page.
Sabine, I love and understand her. At times I wanted to kick her a bit, but that's just my hormones talking. I love the guys, even thoug they should have handled everything differently from the beginning. LOL
Oh and a warning, you'll need new underwear because the naughty times are scorching hot!!!
Hurry up and grab this unique Vampire story. You won't be disappointed.

Poppy is AMAZING. There is really no other way to say it. I've read each of her books thus far and every time I am drawn into her worlds, her characters, her writing. There are some books and tropes that are easy to predict, to know what and how things will go down. Poppy manages to lead Sabine on a wonderful ride of life that had me guessing, surprised, and emotional with each turn. Sabine has an authenticity to her that transcends the fact that she is a vampire thrown into an arranged marriage. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this book. Read and enjoy!

This is an incredible journey into the vampire world. It is well written, fast paced, action, adventure, funny, tragic, and oh it is steamy. You have to take this journey with Sabine. Walk with her, who knows maybe learn from her. You have to come meet the cast of characters. What would you do if you meet a God? How about three? Well you have to find out what Sabine does, I mean it's that awesome. One of the best vampire books I have read.

So Good
I love a strong, fiery FMC, and Sabine is stubborn, driven, and perfectly angry. When other authors would have used a love story to tame and temper their heroine, Poppy does what should happen in a modern love story- she lets her protagonist choose HERSELF first.
A great love story starts when the main character learns to love themselves first and foremost, allowing them to CHOOSE to love another, and Poppy nails that with this book.

Intriguing
I would love to know what happens once Sabine becomes ruler. For me there are so many unanswered questions and I'd love to know! I was captivated from the beginning and could not stop reading till done.

A must read!!!
I absolutely fell in love with Beloved it’s a must read of 2020 and now my all time favourite of Poppy Woods. It brought so much drama and heartache that it keeps you at the edge of your seat wanting more and not wanting it to end. The characters were amazing and the storyline was perfect. I highly recommend this book you won’t be disappointed.

I enjoyed the book. It was unique, but there were too many unanswered questions. I thought they’d be answered in the next book until I realized this was a stand-alone. Very disappointing.
