When three people's lives collide in a perfect storm of heartbreak and ruin, betrayal and love, will they be destroyed or transformed by their fate? They are drawn to coastal South Carolina to an oceanfront Victorian B B inn, fleeing their former lives of heartbreak, betrayal, anger, racism and grief. Jade Armstrong from Santa Barbara is newly divorced and left with nothing by her treacherous, lying ex-husband. Gabriel Montoro of San Antonio is reeling from a cheating wife and loss of his young daughter who moves out of state. Rick Stirling owns the inn and has suffered a devastating personal loss.
Jade vows revenge while believing she deserves a new life. Gabriel believes a good life is only for fairytales and something he'll never have. He vows to break hearts and spirits as his own have been broken. Rick's life is one of purely work with no room for anything else but sorrow. None of them want love or relationship, but as they move into and through the emotional storm of their lives, destiny brings them together in an extraordinary way in the quaint beach town of Golden Shores.
Through work and friendship, their inner conflicts extend to each other while vying for the need for survival, healing, attraction and love. The plot twists keep the reader guessing if and how they resolve their issues, and if they move on separately or together.
The story takes place in the Grand Strand region of coastal South Carolina providing a restorative, inspiring seaside setting. A charming oceanfront inn complete with mystical, enchanting elements lifts the characters' spirits and helps them on their journeys. Their passionate triangle must be broken for them to move on with their lives, but who ends up with whom, or do they, and when?

Jade Armstrong’s life comes crashing down when her husband admits to drug and gambling addictions while also confessing to numerous affairs. He also leaves her for a younger woman of means who’s pregnant with his child. Jade never saw this storm coming but after coming to grips with it, she packs all her belongings and heads east to a lovely coastal town in South Carolina. She secures a job at a quaint inn struggling to make it. The owner, Rick, and her share an immediate connection. As they try to get the inn up and running, Rick hires a brilliant chef named Gabriel Montoro. Jade is attracted to both Rick and Gabriel but isn’t sure she can handle another heartbreak. But the heart knows what it wants and Jade is swept up in one storm after another. Can she steer her way to a happily ever after or will she be tossed overboard?
Heart Storms is a beautifully written story about heartache, betrayal, love, loss and letting go of the past. Written from three POV’s, the reader is instantly plunged into the minds of the three main characters. Emotionally gripping, I found myself crying over the suffering Jade, Rick and Gabriel go through. The more angst, the more my fingers turned the pages. There are a few twists in the plot I didn’t see coming. The wedding scene tore my heart out.
The ending seemed odd at first read, after all that happened, but after I mulled over it for a few days, it started to make sense. A thought-provoking book.

Disclaimer: I received an ARC from the author in the hopes I’d review it.
"The best advice I can give you is that pain and loss are inevitable, but suffering is a choice." This is an absolute theme woven throughout this entire drama. The love triangle will transform readers.
This story is well written and by an Author I have not read before. The words the Author has in the book of 'We Have the Same Heart' just about sums up this story. Gabriel Montoro, and Rick Stirling will both come into Jade Armstrong's life and be the man she needs at certain points in her life. This is a story I will read again. I did have to have the Kleenex handy as I read this story. I enjoyed the last chapter of this book a lot. I recommend this book. Heart Storms is about tragedy and love and hope and it’s presented in a beautifully written story. I love the way the author handled Jade’s attraction to both men. It was seamless and believable. They were very different people but her reasons for loving them both were legitimate. The setting was fabulous. It made me want to be there. Nice twists and lots of emotion. I couldn’t wait to find out how it turned out but I also didn’t want it to end. Great job!!

I absolutely adored this book! It was so beautifully written and not your average love story, it took multiple turns I didn't expect but was still easy to follow what was happening, towards the end I was too gripped to put it down because I just had to know what was going to happen!
The characters were so relatable and the author made it so easy to love each of them for their own personalities, strengths and flaws too!
Anyone that loves romance with the added extra of some drama then this book is definitely for you, I loved it so much! Great job to the author ❤️
Three well drawn characters, thrown together after suffering crushing betrayal and grief, find healing and survival on the lush coastline of South Carolina. Interesting read. Enjoyable. Kat Henry Doran, Wild Women Reviews
This is an emotional story. It is written so the reader gets three points of view and all sides to this story. Jade’s life is falling apart after a major confession from her husband. She soon finds herself trying to find life again and balance her new love interests and trying to find herself again.
I enjoyed the passion and the emotions that are presented in this story. I will be the first to admit I don’t really do “the feels” in books and this was border line for me; I didn’t ugly cry so that is a bonus in my book, LOL.
I enjoyed reading about Jade find her new life, experience new things and get a better life then she was living. The characters were all wonderful and well developed; and the plot was nice. I was recommended this story as it is not a book I would have chosen for myself, but I am glad I read it. Help to expand my reading horizons. 3.75 stars.
This was a very emotionally gripping story about a triangle love affair. It was very unique in it's structure and how it followed these characters over a 30 year period. Each of the characters come from a place of emotional pain with past relationships and have yet to fully heal from it. This pain influences their decisions to love and let go and influences their lives and connections. I loved the way this story was told from each of the characters POV's and we got to understand their perspective and pain. This story gave you a full circle moment in the end of the book that left the reader feeling fufilled.
Heart Storms is told from 3 POV's and is about love, heartache, betrayal, loss and learning to let go of the past to move forward. It's an emotionally gripping read and you may find yourself having a few tears as your read what the characters have gone through. Who ends up with who or do they each go their separate ways? A story line that will grab your attention from the start and have you turning the pages as fast as you can read.

N Christine Samuelson delivers a heart wrenching, yet life affirming tale of love, betrayal and ultimate redemption in the story of 3 people brought together as they heal from their own personal tragedies. Through a flowing script, Samuelson takes you into the lives of Jade, Rick and Gabriel and their journey to reach forgiveness, both for others as well as themselves. You feel for these characters; you hurt for them; and in the end you’re joyful for them. It’s well worth the read.
This is the 3rd book I've read written by N. Christine Samuelson; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This is a beautiful story about love and how deep and emotional and unique the love between people can be. It deals with love, loss, and life circumstances and the paths that our lives take. The story is told from multiple POVS, and is an interesting writing style. This is a good book that will make you think about the path of your own life and how events have shaped you into who you are today.
I enjoyed this triangle of romances. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.7* rating. This is not for the under 18 readers because of adult content. But along with this, it certainly had all the feels as it touched on several issues. I must admit I needed tissues toward the end and an unusual ending it had too. The heroine had a roller coaster of a life, a life of mixed blessings.
This is a complete emotional read with lots of directions to go into. This story spans many years and centers around 3 people who have their own hang ups in a the past, present and future. Be ready to sit down and pay attention. It's written well, well define character although it's complex.
The title says it all-a story of pain, loss, heartache and suffering. Jade, Rick and Gabe come into each others lives with wounded hearts and broken spirits. The different points of view made it engrossing and more emotional. A beautifully written story that flowed nicely through the healing process. Wonderful characters-well worth the time to read!
Be prepared for a heartwrenching emotional ride when you read this story. Told through 3 POV's, its a story involving betrayal, love, loss, and redemption. A well written story focusing on some truly interesting characters and their life stories.
So many emotions! I felt the story was written well. I did have some teary moments. I understood why the thunder and the psychic stuff needed to be there, and it suited the book greatly, but I wasn’t a fan. I will definitely read more from this author.
