When you find the unexpected after a lifetime of being stuck, what do you do?
Finally free from a loveless marriage, Reena decides to start the rest of her life around a family who might have ties to her son, however unlikely it seems. At least, it’s something to do while she decides what her next steps will be.
Ice is bored and restless after spending a long time on not settling down, so he agrees when his twin pushes him to step back and think about his life. The dare includes staying away from women for a while, but that won’t be a problem at all.
They meet at the bar in Rogan, and despite their differences, there’s a connection from the start, but then history catches up with them both and their families, in ways no one expected.
Please note: This book contains crude words and somewhat explicit adult scenes. If this isn't your thing, then this book might not be for you
Reread I'd actually lower this to 3.5 down to 3 because Ice annoyed me some.....but I enjoy this author's work so I'm showing bias and leaving my rating as it is lol. I can't wait for more from her
Spoilers ahead
We met Reena as the nurse who helped Black and Cas at the end of the previous book, Ice is Black's twin brother, the charming, carefree manwhore of the family.
Having seen the way Black is with Cas opened Reena's eyes to the state of her own loveless marriage resulting in her seeking a divorce. Reena married her much older husband at 16 to gain custody of her nephew as her sister had died. She's spent her entire life with her husband and raising her son, when she met Black and his family she failed to mention their similarity to her son. With the end of her marriage Reena sets out to get some answers.
Ice lives a comfortable life, he's got his job, his brother, his family and as many women as he liked though in recenr times he's been restless and hasn't hooked up with anyone. When his brother bets him on a month of celibacy he has no problems with it because he's already been celibate.....until he met Reena and the sparks flew. They eventually give in to the passion burning between them......until it all unravels as Ice's past was more connected to Reena than either of them expected.
*************** Ok, this author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I had some issues but overall I enjoyed this one
Older couple Reena's son who's her biological nephew turns out to be Ice's son meaning he hooked up with her sister. Normally I hate this but in this case it didn't bother me, maybe because the sis was dead, or that it was over 30 years ago or that no one really made a big deal out of it but either way I glossed over it
Ice was a manwhore but had been celibate for a while
Reena was almost an innocent she'd been married for many years and had only ever been with her husband. I did think for a nurse she was very naive.
I love the secondary characters in this series! I'd hoped the kids would get their own books but a couple of them are already involved with their one.
Drug dealers, a serious accident and a stalker add some adrenaline to the plot
Ice acted an idiot when Reena admitted her secret but eventually he pulled his head out of his ass and turned into a loyal Alpha hero
From the books I've read from this author only one presented some serious issues for me. This bodes well for future books from her. I'm excited for more.
No cheating H was a manwhore known as a "sure thing" to women. He'd been.celibate a while and turned down a woman before he met the h. After her he wasn't interested in anyone else H was the father of the h's "son" h was married really young and hadn't had sex in years H was 55/ h 47 I think
People are living longer, healthier and strive to be more youthful, right? It stands to reason that mature adults would still want to feel desirable, still have urges that need to be met and still want a special love. Make it raw, vital, alive and just as emotionally edgy as in our youth, because, well, because we are not dinosaurs… Mia Malone gets it! She knows that there is a huge reading population out there who doesn’t want to read about couples their children’s or grandchildren’s ages and forget the stereotypical mental image of “mature adults.” Prepare yourself for ICE, his family and the woman he has found to share his life with.
Reena may not have suffered financially, but emotionally she was bankrupt after years with a man as cold as ice. Yes, he rescued her from being a teenaged and single mom, but she had to escape. Little did she know she would be escaping into the arms of a man she never thought she could find and he was more than someone who made her feel alive, again.
It’s a small, small, world and Reena and Ice are about to discover just how small it is and how nothing could have prepared either of them when their pasts collided with their new found romance.
Sexy, erotic in a good way, passion can hardly be avoided when you find your perfect complement-at any age.
Fabulous writing, in-your-face romance for all adults who are not ready to be labeled "over-the-hill." (Take not: New Adults may just learn a thing or two...)
I received a complimentary ARC edition from Mia Malone! This is my honest and voluntary review.

I just loved this one. It was amazing and just wow. Ice and his twin Black are just the absolute best. I can't wait to read whatever Mia comes up with next.
Yeah way too much left unexplained, and way too much perfection in a "teen mom" and her son's relationship.
It drove me nuts that there was no reason given that a 33 year old man married a 16 year old girl, nor the legalities on how that was able to happen. And she kept on how he wasn't a pedo creep, but then what was he? Not a friend, according to the rest of the storyline. Much was made of his shit-eating grin in their wedding photo, while she looked the a scared kid. But nope, not a pedo.
I just couldn't get past that. And she stayed with him for 31 years??
I love the stories that Mia Malone write. They are about older couples finding their happily ever after. It's awesome. I am sooo falling in love with the men of Thor MC . And Tax and new peeps it's awesome.
Fantastic! I loved this even more than Black - and I LOVED that book. Mia has a way with gritty, raw emotion, humor, and sexy romance. I especially enjoy reading about mature characters, knowing there's always hope for love, and sex is still very much enjoyed. ;) Looking forward to diving into her other books.
This book is about Ice, Black’s twin brother. He has no formal position in the MC, which is the way he likes it. He’s the cheerful, easy going twin, who’s always up for a laugh and roll in the sack with an attractive woman. However, he’s hit his mid 50s and it’s all becoming a bit too boring for him. Then he meets Reena who was the nurse at the hospital who treated Cas after her abduction. They didn’t meet at the time, however Black was impressed with her and told her to visit if she ever wanted to learn how to ride a bike.
Reena’s marriage is vastly unhappy and her son Tobias is a grown man, no longer living at home. When she meets the Hagens she recognises their distinctive blue eyes and recognises them. She decides to take Black up on her invitation to do some snooping to see if she can find the person she is looking for.
Ice is smitten as soon as he lays eyes on Reena and for once is taking the time to get to know her. Reena is strangely innocent for a divorced woman but she’s also strong and capable. Her marriage was a very lonely place and she single handed raised her son to be a good and strong man.
The plot is interesting and there are some points that were unexpected, which is always good in my opinion. It kept me guessing until nearly the end. I really hope there are more books in this series, because the secondary characters all seem to be really interesting. I will definitely continue looking out for this author as her books hit right in the sweet spot of sweet, hot and interesting, and showing that romance doesn't die when you hit 40.
I’m now caught up on all Mia Malone goodness, and it’s sad because I hate waiting and now I have to wait for a new book to be written. However these books are so good I’m going to be re-reading them many many times. Ice certainly has a temper, and we’re given an up close and personal view of it in this book, when it comes to Renna, his suave Maneuvers go out the window and he’s all fire and fury. I love the h’s in this authors work, they may be sweet and a little shy (some of them anyway) but there is not a doormat among them. And while I wanted her never to speak to him again, I understood his side too so I’m happy with how it all played out.
Ice is Mia Malone's second book in her Thor series. It was time for Black's twin brother and Sissy's older brother to get his story, to grow up and become the man he always had the potential to become! it does not matter how old one is, when your time comes, you cannot resist or you should not try too hard! Ice will have to do a lot of groveling when he puts his foot into his mouth when Reena comes to look for her son's family! I love the MC world and i love the Pacific Northwest and i wish that i could just pick up and go and live somewhere where i could witness it all first hand! I hope that Mia will come back to the series and give us some more stories as there are so many more brothers there who could have their own stories!
This story was fantastic. I loved the craziness, the saucy dialogue between the family. It had a lost chid re-emerge, a finding of true mates, a hot alpha MC Pres, kicka$$ grandparents, and lots of family loyalty and love. No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA. Recommend this one. Enjoy.
Wow this one had a strange backstory with Reena beomcing the mother to Ice's baby from her sister. They managed to sort it out with the usual angst when Toby finds out about his parentage. Ice going off the deepend shouldn't have been unexpected. He turned it around pretty quickly.
Always strange endings with random baddies making drama but it ended just fine.

What am amazing book, Ice & Reena were perfect for each other, and I loved visiting with the Thor MC family again. Well done Mia Malone, you've hit this one right out the park!!
I think each Goodreads member should get a chance to give some books, like maybe 10 a year, 6 stars...and then I would all spend them on Mia Malone's books...I cannot express how much I love her stories.
This was a short series with just the twins. None the less, a few visits from the Brothers series characters, Mia is really great at doing, added some extra fun! Ice and Reena were just destined to be together. Yay for their Happily Ever After!
What a fantastic book. Loved Ice and Reena, wonderful couple. Loved the additional romance of Toby and Michaela. Looking forward to more by this author.
Love, love this author and series. Give me more please!!!! Characters are more mature and they are super sexy. Great plot, fun family and wonderful story. Don't miss it.
...... a firm complicated base, with intricate tensile strength and hidden support, beautifully crafted and complimented by love and acceptance. Loved this book and about to start a re-read soon. Highly recommend
Reena the nurse who helped Black now a recent divorcee, is now free and wanting to start over. She goes to the Thor compound to meet up again with Cas to see how she has recovered. There she meets Black's twin brother Ice.
As always with this author this is a fantastic read. Her books always make me want to go back and reread her other books. MC, older couple, a lot of family and love,
