Samson: Secrets to Destroying Your Life and Ministry

Rate this book
A righteous man falling down before the wicked is a troubled fountain and a corrupt spring. Proverbs 25:26

Samson, Israel's famous herculean judge, is remembered for two things: his legendary strength and his lustful downfall. During the barbaric time of Israel's settlement in the Promised Land, Samson was sent to deliver his people from the oppression of the Philistines. He was Israel's mightiest judge, demonstration the most remarkable miracles, yet he could not beat his own temptations. His death may be more infamous than his life.

Samson: Secrets to Destroying Your Life and Ministry is both a theological commentary on the life of Samson and the history of the Time of the Judges, and an evaluation of the lifestyle that led to the ruin of the Nazirite Judge. This book contains four secrets to Samson's downfall. Though Samson lived and died over 3,000 years ago, Christians today continue to follow in his ruinous footsteps. Don't be one of them!

Samson is a short read but an impactful one. From the book of Judges in the Bible is the story of Samson. A man touched by God and given super human strength, but a man who also allowed himself to be deceived and destroyed by a temptress-Delilah by name- and in the process derailed the anointing God had on his life.
This book explains biblically what happens when you are touched by God to do great things, but keep your own counsel and lean to your own understanding. From the Pastor in the pulpit to the member listening in the pew..we all need community and spiritual guidance to keep us aligned and in step with God's calling on our lives.
