The Plesiosaurus almost ate up the boys. Fortunately they escaped by staying still in the water. That is a good idea.

I liked it because they went swimming with the plesiosaur and the ichthyosauruses helped save Jamie from the Liopleurodon.

The book I choose to read was Swimming with the Plesiosaur by Rex Stone. This book was about two boys named Tom, Jamie and this book talks about  all the adventures both kids have. It all started when they went to the beach and went for a swim when all of a sudden they both got attacked by some plesiosaur. They tried to run away and help the dolphins so they wouldn’t get eaten. Then towards the end of the book after all the trying to get rid of the plesiosaur they couldn’t get rid of the biggest one. Mainly throughout the book the two boys are trying to fight but stay alive of the plesiosaurs.

The character that I choose is Jamie, because he is very talented and an adventurous. I would describe Jamie as a skinny kid with short brown hair and brown eyes. Throughout the book Jamie attitude is like a roller coaster. For example in the beginning he wanted to do everything. Then in the middle he gets mad because his friend doesn't want to go on an adventurous with him. Lastly at the end of the book Jamie was happy only because the dolphins survived and they got to go back home safe.

The reason I liked this book is because I like reading books about adventure. I also like the way the author wrote this book the way he wrote could make you imagine what's going on in the book. My top reason for not like the book was because I feel like yes it was about adventure but yet there wasn’t a lot of adventure in the book. However, overall I think I would recommend this book to many younger kids especially boys. Not only because of all the adventure in it but boys also like things that have to do with fish.

I'm trying to beef up my awareness of guy books, so I grabbed this title. I feel pretty "Meh" about it. It's not bad, but it's unremarkable on the whole. It has some adventure, time travel, etc. but I think there are better options out there.

That being said, I would recommend it to boys interested in dinosaurs and those who need quick reads.
