Havenwood Falls #27

Forever Loyal

Rate this book
In this sequel to Fate, Love & Loyalty, this mountain lion shifter’s family is reunited—and her loyalties divided.

After a shifter cat fight in the middle of town two years ago, Aster McCabe and her sister, Reeve, were banished from Havenwood Falls. All memories of their hometown removed by a protective spell, the sisters have lived a settled life in Denver with their mates. But their world is rocked when Reeve’s infant daughter is kidnapped, and just days later, their parents show up on Aster’s doorstep. Parents they don’t remember.

With her niece in danger and the Denver Mountain Lion Shifter Den in turmoil, Aster doesn’t have time to process her restored memories of a life she had forgotten. And according to her parents and the entourage of supernatural friends they brought with them, she only has 28 days before she loses those memories again. But finding her niece comes first.

The search takes the group far from Denver, and along the way, severed bonds begin to heal. As time counts down, Aster needs to decide if she wants to go back to the town that threw her out and fight for Reeve to be able to return home too, or if it’s better to forget Havenwood Falls once and for all.

The McCabe's are a really down to earth family, until you mess with one of theirs. This is a follow up to Fate, Love & Loyalty, so I recommend reading it first! The suspense in this with a kidnapping, wow. I was not expecting any of it, none at all. I was blown away through the hole story.

Forever Loyal is the second book in the Havenwood Falls series that features the mountain lion shifter residents of this town of supernaturals. It also takes readers outside of Havenwood Falls to Denver, Colorado and the surrounding areas. A majority of the supernatural residents of Havenwood Falls rarely ever leave the town. For this mountain lion shifter family, nothing is more important than your family, so when word arrives that one of their own residing outside the town is missing, they immediately go into action. Problem is, the family members residing outside of town have no idea who these so-called family members are that are about to enter their life. Not to worry, the residents of Havenwood Falls have a supernatural solution for just about every situation. Can the family members rediscover the familial bond they have to find their lost relative? What happens when you have to choose between family members living in separate towns? Loyalties are tested as the past pays an unpleasant visit. This book is a follow-up to Fate, Love, and Loyalty and picks up two years after the events from that story. I don't think its necessary to have read Fate, Love, and Loyalty prior to reading this one. Great addition to the series with good characters and enjoyable pace.

Forever Loyal- A Must Read!!!!

I have to admit that I wasn't sure about several authors writing with a cohesive vision of a complex and diverse setting like this series, but I'm blown away with each installment. Each novella is stand alone and builds one every other story and characters. With each novella, I can't wait to read more and find out more of the hidden secrets that are so a part of this world. 'Forever Loyal', is a sequel to the awesome hit, "Fate, Love & Loyalty", by the very talented E.J. Fechenda. It focuses on cat shifter sisters, Aster and Reeve. Aster and Reeve have been banished from Havenwood Falls with their respective mates and are living their lives unaware of the family that they left behind...well almost unaware. you never really forget. When Reeve's baby girl is taken and their long lost family show up, what are the feisty sisters to do but go get their little girl! Along the way, Aster remembers why they were sent away and has to decide if she's going to fight to have her sister be able to return, or just have her memories fade away again. Read this awesome sequel to find out!!!

I really liked this one a lot. I especially loved that it took a story with an ending I didn't particularly like and made it so much better. I'm referring to the preceding book that ended with the daughters and their mates being banished from Havenwood Falls after a particularly deadly fight between Lion shifters that ended the life of their brother. By banishing the daughters, the Council effectively left the parents with no children. Anyway, that was two years ago, both in real time and in the story's time. Now there's a new danger. When the oldest daughter's (Reeve) baby girl is kidnapped (or stolen) the grandparents, who are still in Havenwood Falls, hear about it and petition the Court to lift the sentence for the second daughter (Aster) and to restore the memories of both so they can all search for the baby together. The remaining story centers around returning memories and the search for the baby. I don't want to give anything away, but this was intense at times and started off with a bang. Remembering that this is Havenwood Falls where lots of stories don't actually end the ending was satisfying. Highly recommended read.

I have been provided with a copy of Forever Loyal by Ang’dora Productions for an impartial review. This is the twenty seventh book in the Havenwood Falls series and also the sequel to Fate, Love, & Loyalty by E.J. Fechenda. Each book in this series is a standalone title and can be read in any order and even though this is a sequel you can still read it without reading the first book without too much confusion. It explains it very nicely what you missed from the first book. I was just so excited to receive this book. I immediately had to start reading it and I just couldn’t put it down until I turned the last page. This story picks up about two years after Fate, Love, & Loyalty ends and I just loved getting to reenter this world and see this family again. I just love this family so much and I found myself tearing up at moments throughout this beautiful story. I was just sucked into this story and I just got so engrossed in what was going on in these great characters lives. I just didn’t want this story to end. I can’t wait to see what next from this series.

As part of Ang'dora Productions Review Crew I was able to read E.J. Fechenda’s Forever Loyal as a review copy.

Following on the McCabe family story which started in Fate, Love & Loyalty, we learn that Aster & Reeves banishment from Havenwood Falls didn’t make their world any safer, and with their memories wiped as well they remember little to nothing of their lives before Denver. When tragedy strikes and Reeves baby daughter is taken, Aster & Reeve are astonished when their parents and a host of supernatural friends arrive to help them; people they don’t remember. With Aster & Reeves memories temporarily restored they have 28 days whilst their memories are with them to find the missing baby and process the memories as they return. With the clock against them and Reeves banishment still in place Aster has some difficult decisions to make.

I thoroughly enjoyed Fate Love & Loyalty And was thrilled to read the continuation of the McCave family story in Forever Loyal. I do hope that there will be a future instalment following the family and the Denver den.

This is a sequel to Fate, Love & Loyalty.
This story picks up two years after Aster McCabe and her sister Reeve were banished from Havenwood Falls for shifting in the middle of town. Shortly after moving to Denver, Aster and Reeve’s memories were removed by the towns protective spell and they forgot everything about Havenwood Falls including their parents and friends.
Everything is in turmoil when Reeve’s infant daughter is kidnapped and their parents show up at Aster’s door….parents they don’t remember a thing about. With the help of the Denver Mountain Lion Shifter Den and friends from Havenwood Falls, Aster embarks on a journey to find her niece and decide if she wants to keep the temporary memories from her past or to forget Havenwood Falls for good.
This story was very entertaining and fast read. Can’t wait for the next authors set of characters.

Family is everything with the McCabe's and we truly get to see it once again how they bound together to fix things. Does what happen in the past stay in the past or does it come back to bite you? That is what we will find out in Forever Loyal. This is a great follow up to the first book, though I would say you don't have to read the first book but it will help you. Especially to be able to truly understand how strong this family is.

This group will be tested more than ever and will have to find out what is best for them. I really liked the suspense around the kidnapping and when it all went down wowzers!

It had been awhile since reading Fate, Love, and Loyalty so had to do a bit of a refresher. This sequel does not disappoint. Continuing the story of Aster and Reeve finds more bad things happening to the twins. *Spoiler Alert* Reeve's baby gets kidnapped and Aster and several others must go and find the baby. It's a long and arduous journey but the end is near. The group has found the baby but will they be able to save the child and do it without any death happening to those who came along to help. Will they save the child and themselves? You will have to read to find out! An excellent read!

Family loyalty at it's best

I truly fell in love with this story because it shows that families will do anything when it comes to their own families. You witness the struggles everyone is facing in this story and you cannot help but feel for them.

Sometimes you learn that Havenwood falls doesn't always do what is best. But they always seem to think they do. But at least everyone is safe.

Until Next Time... Tabi

Aster and her sister Reeve live in Denver with their mates. However, they are from Havenwood Falls originally. When Reeve's daughter is kidnapped, their parents and some old friends arrive to help. Sometimes the past keeps coming back to bite you in the backside, until its cut out of your life completely. I really enjoyed watching Aster slowly remember things and being reunited with her family. I loved the ending and can't wait to see what the future holds for this wonderful extended family!

Kidnapping, betrayals, bloody battles, revelations and bittersweet reunions will soon have you engrossed in this story. This novella is a quick and very entertaining read, and I look forward to more Havenwood stories from this author.
