This story has a nightmarish fairy tale, quality to it, with all its fantastic, fearsome and weird creatures, which one more grotesque and deadly. A misfit team, a diversity of characters...I am a big fan of Chris Turner’s because I thoroughly enjoy the intrigue he generates with his fictional-but-believable worlds and unpredictable plots, his fantasy is a weird and twisted story, quasi horror like, sometimes, nothing is what it seems, the hardships the companions go through is almost impossible a situation to come out! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!
I received an early version of this book from the publisher and my review is entirely voluntary.

The author gives such incredible detail that you can completely envision every single thing in this story. Each character and all of the surroundings are brought to life and allows the reader to live it as they read it. The journey takes treacherous twists and turns and the main characters get caught up in some harrowing situations. Take an amazing fantastical journey and enjoy! A great read!

What a strange bunch of people. This is the strangest group to successfully complete a mission. I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it because I couldn’t wait to see what they would get into next.

Author went overboard with synonyms. One or two would do, 4 or 5 over kill. I know he was trying for a certain style, but sometimes less is more.

I found this boring, I had a very hard time reading this and was constantly having to push myself to continue reading this book. If you enjoy the slow, then this is for you.
