Please note this book was first published at Love to Death.
A beautiful mother of two missing for days. Her husband is a convicted criminal. An obsessed super-fan meeting her hero. What happens when love goes bad — and it becomes an obsession?
Ageing rocker Johnny Lee Rogers is performing a series of charity concerts in Larchborough. His biggest fan, librarian Lizzie Thornton, has won tickets to see his final show. She's convinced that fate is bringing them together . . . and Lizzie's always wanted a December wedding.
A body is found, stabbed to death.
As the town basks in the hottest temperatures for decades, DS Mia Harvey and DCI Paul Wells struggle to cope with torment, intrigue, and murder.
Good plot potential . Unprofessional DCI. The author seems to have been trying to improve the disaster of book 1. I usually try to be fair to authors and read two books if there is potential . No more of these . They are not about DS Harvey , but the motley group .
I love the way Patti Battison puts her stories together. A real page turner. Congratulations, Patti. Definitely going to buy Book 3. Well deserved 5 stars.
I enjoyed this book a lot. I like the characters and the settings. The only thing I didn’t like was the occasional bad language. Really bad. But as a mystery, it was great. It kept me guessing until the end.
I really enjoyed this 2nd book. I found the characters had that comfortable familiarity. More of their backgrounds have been 'leaking out', giving them all more depth.
I'm already well into book 3 & it's even better still!
