Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
This is silly fun.... oh, and smutty. So, kinda perfect if you feel like something light and frivolous.
Simon is a lizard-shifter who is pretty full of himself. He thinks he is da bomb when it comes to women. He's a spy - well, a super spy. He has gadgets and shit. Can't be a spy without gadgets and shit. He always gets the girl. Bitches love gadgets.
He is on a case with Petunia, a human girl who he thinks is going to be a chore, and she is. I loved Petunia. She is spunky and funny and clumsy. But, then Petunia broke my heart. She ate a hot dog and put mustard and mayonnaise on it. MAYONNAISE!! ON A HOT DOG!! Our friendship ended there because she is obviously a serial killer. Only serial killers use mayo on hot dogs. I think Jeffrey Dahmer didn't even use mayo on the people he ate. So, obviously she's a worse monster than Jeffrey Dahmer. That's not an exaggeration - it's logic.
Besides, mayo on hot dogs is a gateway drug. Next thing you know, shit like this is happening:
Simon and Petunia need to find a magical recipe book and her missing father. They must really be hungry. I bet mayonnaise will be involved. I don't even want to know.
Stop it, you psychos!!
It's great fun and reads a little like a silly, dirty fairy tale... kinda.
This was funny, action packed and classic old Eve Langlais. ❤️❤️ it a light hearted romance with a little spy action thrown in. Pack in some shifters, chases, gunfire, and bedroom scenes and you’re good to go for a quick weekend read.
This is the first book in the Double-Oh-Shifters series and the first collaboration I've seen between Eve Langlais and Mina Carter. It does not require any other books in order to be thoroughly enjoyed.
It is an excellent lighthearted romance and parody of spy novels. I wish some of the scenes were fleshed out more and the other characters were more nuanced. My favorite scene was the hot dog in the park which had me laughing out loud.
I look forward to further collaborations between these two authors.
Oh my goodness! These ladies have joined together and created a book that is going to make you laugh, cry and cheer before you reach the HEA. This egotistical lizard almost misses out on his destiny but manages to turn it around with the unlikeliest of rescuers. I can’t wait to see what these two come up with next. I foresee many laughs in my reading future.
I enjoyed that this story was not only funny, but completely unexpected. The twists kept coming, almost as often as Simon. Though it was a collaboration between my favorite author and another author, I definitely enjoyed it and will read more in this series.
A lizard for a hero! Yes, that's right and he is a double-oh agent who thinks he's suave and debonair but is he really. You can decide for yourself but be prepared to laugh until you cry. I can't wait for the next book in this series from two of my favourite authors.
I loved it. A secret agent lizard shifter, Simon, who is one of the best, is put on a mission he thinks is way below him. He shouldn't have to babysit some human woman just because her dad is missing & was working with the Alpha wolves using his wife's family recipe spell book. Petunia is a little sceptic of anything he tells her because her got impatient trying to get in & just shoved his way into her house. When some people break down her door they escape through the attic. The end up in a hotel for the night & she escapes through a bathroom window. He finds her in a park, she sees him in lizard form & freaks out throwing the hotdog she had been eating at him. He then finds out she can't stand lizards. He shifts back & gets dressed she runs back into worried they will run into godzilla. They go back to the hotel, & cuffs her to the bed. He tells her everything but about being a lizard. They go to his dad's place in the morning. He had told her it had been ransacked but it was more that she expected. They look upstairs when they hear people downstairs. He tells her to stay there while he goes to check it out. She hears a lot going on. It gets quiet, she goes down to look, she sees Simon the lizard & tries to take him out with a rolling pin. He has to shift into a human to let her know who he is, she is a little freaked out to find out there are shifters & magic out there. She shows him her dad's secret lad where her made the medicine she had every month since she was little. Her mother had always said it was for seizers. she said she was almost out. They look all over the lab for the book but can't find it. They get into it on the table, one of the vials falls & Simon gets a mouthful. It forces him to shift back into a lizard & unable to become human again. They then decide they will have to go to her great grandma's house, the book belongs to them. At the airport when they land they meet up with a sloth shifter Ricardo, Simon doesn't like too much. He has gotten them tickets to her great grandma's masquerade party. They have it pretty much planned out. How things will go when they get inside, Simon is going as well. When they get in they get separated, as planned, but she is a little nervous. She finds a library & goes into it. She finds a hidden room. When she puts her hand on the identity pad it opens the door, she sees the book & takes it. She goes out but can't find Simon. She goes to leave & finds Ricardo. Simon gets spotted by Great grandma while she is talking to one of her daughters. They catch him, they give him the antidote to turn him human & start asking questions. Petunia Makes it to the road but gets grabbed by someone & is taken to the house where her dad is being kept. He is told he has to make what they want or they will see how much they can hurt his daughter. She is getting upset. Simon & Great grandma & family are about parachute down to make their rescue. Petunia's dad is telling her to try to not be too angry but it doesn't seem to work. By the time Simon & everyone else gets there a very powerful lioness is chasing everyone. Great grandma asks her dad if he suppressed her from the start. He told her his dead wife Rose had Told him to or they would take her away from them. She says get the traq gun & Petunia pounces on her. Then she hears someone say "Sis don't kill grandma". She doesn't have a sister. But she looks over & sees her twin. She shifts back into a human & faints. She learns the rest of the story later. Her mom had twins while dad was away. Gave one to great grandma. Both girls had never been told they had a sister. Later she had gone off to have a life with Simon. I love it!
This is a super cute book. It’s not your typical shifter book, it has a lot of funny cute scenes that will make you chuckle. It begins with the arrogant super spy who happens to be a lizard shifter, he is sent out on a mission that he initially believes is beneath his abilities. He quickly finds it is more than he bargained for with a side story that slowly becomes clear. Of course the arrogance slowly gets conquered and the ending is fun. I look forward to more by this author.
I quite liked this book. I think it's the first I've read where Eve Langlais teamed up with another author (Mina Carter).
Simon is a funny lizard shifter with a huge ego and he definitely stole the show in this.
He took a moment to freshen himself. Teeth? Check. Hair? Perfect. A spritz of cologne and he was ready. Wait. He paused for a moment and rolled his sleeves back to display his muscled forearms. Arm porn. The ladies loved a bit of biceps candy. Perfect.
This book was fun and and easy read. Simon & Petunia are adorable together. I like how she didn’t fall for his charms in the beginning and they got to know their real self. Lots of funny shenanigans and witty banter. The plot was rather interesting and had me guessing for awhile there. All in all, an enjoyable read and I look forward to the next one in this series.
When I need a shifter romcom, I know where to go, and I was not disappointed!!! This story was slapstick, stereotypical animal actions, and paid homage to spy movies with a wink and a shrug. The best part, the lizard refers to his, um, lizard, as a lizard, I mean, come’on, that is gold. This hit the spot for fun, sexy, steamy, and giggles 😊
Ok. I normally enjoy Mina's writing more, but I really found Simon distasteful, which might have been the point. He made it hard to enjoy, and even harder to understand why the heroine gave him even half a chance. Not the worst book I've read, and it was still kind of ok, but I don't know that I recommend it.
International Agent Simon Longwatton was on the job. He always got the villain and the woman. Petunia Erwin was the target. Well, she knew the target in question and they needed her help. She turned out to be more than Simon thought.
This is really funny. I love it. You have to love that there is a Reptile Intelligence agency section 3. This is a fun book. It’s like James Bond but shifter with his girl Friday, command, weapons and all. Simon is so cocky at times you just want to slap him. But then he says or does something and you have to laugh. Petunia aka “Patty” is a riot. She keeps him on his toes and then some. These two are well suited to each other. I have to say I laughed myself silly. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
Petunia has been taking a medication for most of her life. She fears lizards. She meets Simon and they get shot at. Her father is missing and they are trying to find him.Somewhere along the way she finds out he is a lizard shifter. For some reason he starts to grow on her. She finds her father and learns the reason why he was taking the medication. Why is she taking the medication? Can she and Simon have a future?
A Rom-Com in writing. Eve has pulled off an absolutely fun loving story with none other than a Lizard!
Simon our self absurd lizard is charged with the job to find the missing professor. And to do so, he needs the professors daughter Petunia to aide him in the search.
Petunia is a bit of a recluse, and she knows more than she lets on.
In the end who saves whom? Now that’s the question! But, that ending! Wow, really, what, why? So many questions.
A lizard as a sexy super spy ? Well a lizard shifter, who has a massive ego. His mission, find a missing book and the Professor. Simon, the lizard shifter, goes to the daughter's place to question her about her missing Dad. That when the fun begins, bad guys shooting and chasing them. You has to laugh at the antics these two get up to. Nice cosy read
I just adore this author's style of writing. It is always filled with sexiness, fun, danger and action. Her imagination is beyond amazing. Her characters are always filled with over the top personalities, sarcasm and egos. Loved it!!
Have Lizard, Will Travel is a silly, sexy shifter tale that will have you giggle-snorting into your wine. Simon is a sexy super spy and a lizard shifter sent to protect the abducted scientist’s daughter Petunia. Hilarity and lust ensue. This was a total romp.
Simon is a lizard-shifter who is pretty full of himself. He thinks he is da bomb when it comes to women. He's a spy - well, a super spy. He has gadgets and shit. Can't be a spy without gadgets and shit. He always gets the girl. Bitches love gadgets.
I loved this book. Laughed out loud from start to finish. Eve and Mina did a very good job with satire, mystery and love story. Highly recommend this book for great entertainment!
Only read the Review of the Book. Was a little hard thinking of the hero going around as a Lizard all the time but it was very interesting and if I can get my hands on the book through the Library to read, I will REALLY look forward to reading the whole book.
