The Children's Game is a fairly good book.Good intro(s), love the action, & detail!(SPOILER:)It was somewhat upsetting, however, for Stein to not make it throughout the book.He seemed like an interesting character and it would have been amazing to read some more from his POV.To see what he'd do, how he'd handle everything.I didn't like the fact he was introduced only to be killed in the beginning. It just didn't seem to fit. Stein being killed with a 22 caliber automatic on page 2; a feeble attempt to get out of that disaster? Not the best scene, for me. It could have been better. He was a good character and it wasn't exactly necessary to introduce him and than kill him almost immediastely afterwards, doing that simply to example how poorly they were doing against the Sovs.(All the spoiling I have in this review I believe)As for the setting and plot, I enjoyed. It wasn't the best, but very good. Could have used some work. Some scenarios seemed to have been written in haste. Like he wasn't taking his time. Other than this I'm quite enjoying the book. I have yet to read of it, after all.

I enjoyed this espionage thriller with its many twists and turns. I especially liked how Danner figured out how to get an important disc from a rather unique hiding place.
