Camille's character is from When the Vows Break. Due to this, the first couple of chapters may seem familiar but from Camille's perspective.
Shattered, a word that means broken into pieces or exhausted and it sums up Camille's life, perfectly.
You met her in When the Vows Break and if you remember, Camille Shannon is who she is. Unapologetically Cam with no holds barred and want what she wants. Until eighteen months ago, when she came face to face with a demon of her past and it sent her spiraling.
From unfaithfulness to drugs, to love and loss; she's experienced it. Some of it is due to her actions yet when she tries to get her life together, it's proving to be harder than she expected.
To complicate matters, her dream job is within reach but someone is determined to make sure she'll never grasp it.
Will Camille find the strength to deal with the skeletons, in her closet, the ones that left her torn and battered; or will she always be Camille Shannon, hiding instead of owning her truth ... she's SHATTERED?

Lakisha Johnson, native Memphian and author of over ten titles was born to write. She’ll tell you that “Writing didn’t find me, it’s was engraved in my spirit when I was created.” Along with being an author, she is an ordained minister, co-pastor, wife, mother and the product of a large family.
She is an avid blogger at kishasdailydevotional.com and social media poster where she utilizes her gifts to encourage others to tap into their God given talents. She won’t claim to be the best at what she does nor does she have all the answers, she is simply grateful to be used by God
If you are going to quote scriptures from the bible get it right. That story about Joseph was not correct. Yes his brothers hated him but not because he was an instigator. They hated him and were jealous of him because their father dotted on him. He gave him the best of everything. This is why they chose to do away with him and acted like he died. Also my faith is very strong in for but I don't like for people to be mislead. This book implies if I hand it all over to God everything in your life will be perfect. That's not true. There will still be trials and tribulations to go through. I believe in prayer. I just think the God thing went a bit overboard. I really do not like Camille. She's so selfish. She treats her friends better than her husband. Then to have her husband do something shady to get just didn't sit right with me.
Shattered answered a lot of questions about Camille for me. I can’t say that I’m surprised about the ending. Lakisha Johnson doesn’t disappoint though. This story was good to the very end and showed how one tragedy can impact one person and all those persons around them. I enjoyed this and the stories that led up this. This is definitely a story worth reading. Kudos Ms. Johnson
Wow!!!!!! I can't believe this man Thomas did that! Lawd my heart would have been shattered to pieces.. Now what will she do!?! Stay or go.. That's like jealous to me.. This was a great read and I really annoyed it. Can't wait to read the rest..

My Opinion:
All I can say is this is what happens when your vows have been broken and shattered as it was for Camille in this particular story. It was good seeing Camille finally addressing her issues, and I especially loved the biblical references, prayers, and, yes, with some therapy. But I was definitely shocked at the end of what message Camille's husband Thomas had for her. How will she be able to handle this information?
Camille was not only in this read, but it looks like Lynn has some problems that she will have to face in her life. Will she be able to endure it all?
Will each of these ladies be able to pick up the 'shattered' pieces of their lives? To find out the answers and much more, you will have to pick up the next part 2 of the story. And yes, this was quite a good read!
OMG!! Imagine the worst betrayal coming from someone that is supposed to love you, flaws and all.
Camille Shannon, Cam, has been hurt, broken and afraid to let anyone know the pain she’s tried to keep buried. But running into her past, even for a brief moment, opened up those wounds and she’s been acting out. Cam is out to mask all the pain with sex, partying and even almost losing her life.
Thomas, her husband, doesn’t know if he wants to work through the lies and cheating but he’s insecurities are pushing her further away. Now with her being nominated for a judgeship and trying to move past the pain in her life; something’s are revealed. And let’s just say that sometimes the folks in our lives are rooting for our downfall.
Can’t wait to finish Shattered 2....does Camille become fully restored? And what happens with her marriage?!
Lord, I didn't realize how much I had in common with Camille until reading this installment. I, too, thought turning sexual abuse from the past into my power would protect me but when I think about it (as this book challenged me to do), I realize that way of thinking caused more harm than good and not just to me. Cam did not deserve the betrayal that came her way and she as well as Lynn deserved so much better. Hopefully she'll receive it in the next installment. Save for a few grammatical errors this was an awesome read.
I love that Camille was open and real. I am so glad that she did not let her past dictate her future! Now Thomas was a different story, I didn’t appreciate any of his actions! I can see where he is coming from but he was just sneaky to me, while trying to make Camille accountable for her actions he hid his. I also felt for Lyn and how Paul played her. I have read quite a few of Lakisha’s book and she never disappoints.
Omg! To just say, I love this book, would be an understatement! This book was outstanding. After reading the trilogy, "When the Vow Break", I figured this will be just an okay read. However, I loved the way it all ties in and connect, but just keeps getting better. I want to say more, but don't want to spill the beans.... But I am looking forward to Shattered 2!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! God spoke to me through the characters and told me during this trying time that every thing will be alright. God is a healer, a deliverer, a waymaker and by his grace and mercy I am set free. Thank you Lakisha Johnson for being the vessel.
I really enjoyed this book. It was very reflected of the things we go through in life and how if we can neglect our spiritual life, which hinders us from putting things in perspective. I definitely did not expect the ending, but I enjoyed this book throughly and will be reading part 2 in this series.
I love this book it had me on edge the whole time while reading!! I hope book 2 is just as good as this one & I can really relate to all the characters but Cam & Lynn I can relate to on a personal level!! Maybe I can thrive off of their strength & have the courage to tell my own story
Great read of past hurt, mistakes, bad decisions, jealousy, love and the power of prayer. Cam had a lot of dirt that she kept to herself but once she let go and let God, things began to turn around for her.....God can and will do the same for us if we trust Him. Great job Kisha Johnson; you haven’t disappointed me yet!
5-stars!!! This series about the 6-pack, six sisters that are dealing with the pressures of life, while still trying remain sane. Careers, family, marriage, etc., But, these sisters use their faith and friendship to maneuver through life's obstacle course. Awesome read! Keeps you on the edge with every turned page. Ms. Johnson is an excellent story teller!!
This book is celebrating real life with our failures. But God... I love the scriptures, prayers and sermons included. This book is almost a map to healing, could be a self help start. Enjoy reading your works, continue to allow God, young lady. I read scripture along with the books and enjoy a praise or conviction. Keep writing! On to "Shattered2" and others.
Easily the most memorable character in the When The Vows Break series, Cam brings the drama and it follows her like a stalker. Lakisha does an excellent job breaking down who Camille Shannon really is underneath the sex-craved lawyer. The ending leaves you saying "WTH"...meaning I can't wait for the sequel!
This series was so on point and very much needed. I love everything about the books from the characters, scriptures, prayers and the realness of the situation. Thank you for giving us books we can all relate too. I have read so many of your books and all of them are fire. You are one of my favorite writers and I appreciate you. May God continue to bless you.
Camille brings so much drama to her life. The twists and turns of her story intertwined with the rest of the ladies was a roller coaster ride. More often the not your entire circle can be in turmoil. Things are coming from the crew at all angles . It’s hard keeping score but there’s never a dull moment.
I thought this was a great read. I love how even through adversity cam was still able to push towards her goal. I can't wait to see what the next part is going to be. I am on the edge of my seat.
The books I have read are always though provoking. The problems are laid out and the answer are given with the bible verse to help you understand why no matter what God is there to bring you out
All I can say is this series of books has opened my my heart, mind and uncovered some wounds. Wounds that need to be acknowledged, wounds that that needs to be healed!!!! Thank you for the start of my Repentance, Healing and Restoration.
Im truly enjoying Camille's perspective, reading this is like watching it on a movie especially from reading When the vows break 1-3! Can't wait to read the reaction to Thomas condescending evil selfish mess.
So in love 🥰 with this series. I love the praying 🙏 . Faith, Release, Restores, going through the storm ⛈. Strength Family, Friendship and Forgiving all in this series.. MUST READ
How to finish and see where my girls where in there life in there book. They all still have a long way to go with God. Hope by the time I finish the last 2 books they will have it all together with the Grace Of God.
This book was amazing. I am going to make my daughter read this book and the series. She is broken and shattered. I believe in my heart this book will help her. Thank you for you!!!
Lakisha Johnson's books that I've read so far have been so therapeutic for me. I love the way this author deals with real life issues that can occur and add a double dose of God's word for therapy to help one navigate through this thing called life.
I really enjoyed this. Prayer and devotion to God is everything...When your back is against the wall. A sisterhood is so beneficial. So you know once I finished I had to keep going. .Shattered 2 is up next..So therapeutic.#joynookbookclub
