The Red Mountain Chronicles Box Set: Books 1-3 + Prequel

How well do we really know each other?

In Washington State wine country, Red Mountain is a refuge for searchers and wanderers, artists and lovers, farmers and chefs—people looking for a place to belong. Despite the stunning landscape, the world-class wines, and their best efforts, the eccentric inhabitants often attract trouble.

For the first time ever, read The Red Mountain Chronicles in its entirety, including the prequel, A Marriage Well Done. Heartfelt, briskly paced, and wonderfully rich, this series will transport you from the first page to the last as it explores both the rabid dysfunction and intoxicating beauty of small-town life amongst the vines.

When I started reading the first book in the series I did not think I would like it, but then once I got involved in the stories of each character I wanted to know what happened to all of them. Before I knew it I had read the whole series. The other interesting part of the story is how much I learned about wine and the Red Mountain area of WA. May need to visit there one day!

Flawed characters...like us!

Loved this series. The characters are the best part of this series. They all have baggage and have to deal...Although some tend to deal better than others. From the most prestigious "grapefather", the abandoned at birth head vineyard manager for the aging rock star/super model power couple and family to the wronged wife that follows her dreams and the children and some of the workers. Life certainly has it's ups and downs for the people of Red Mountain. I was really surprised at much I enjoyed this story built around the wine industry as I am not a wine drinker. This series made me want too! Not for the alcoholic content but for the flavor and bouquet. Great job, Boo Walker following your progress with hope I will see these characters again soon.

Hate saying goodbye...

Thoroughly engaging ,riveting time spent with the Characters who eventually end up on RED MOUNTAIN. This series was so well written. I feel as though I am just leaving a period of time I actually lived. I was going to skip the Pre-quel....generally hate the whole concept. Wowie.... it fit so perfectly into Margot’s story...well done. I am rambling. Treat yourself ...Read this grand series .

Great read

This book was filled with wonderful characters and a story that pulls you in and transports you straight to Red mountain. I'm not even a wine drinker and I feel like I could taste and appreciate wine now. There are so many different things to keep you interested and not able to put the book down. Can't wait to read more by this author.

I am sorry to finish this series.... I loved it. And I liked the prequel (I guess you had to be there.) Loved the characters, flaws and all. Loved the little shocking twists, not so shocking after all as presented. Loved the writing style. And definitely loved Red Mountain.

I love this series! Heartwarming, with just the right amount of drama and comedy; wins and losses; triumphs and struggles.

As fictional as the characters were amidst a real setting in the vineyards of Red Mountain, I found myself cheering for them, and a number of times, also wanting to smack them in the head!

I cheered for Morgan, Margot, Joan, Brooks, Emilia, Remi, Jake, Jasper, Abby, and yes, even Otis. Zack and Luca played their little boys role well; they were like catalysts. I should not forget the dogs, and the other animals, Elvis, especially.

I shook my head at Otis, of course; Joe Massey, Abby, and Brooks (somewhat). Margot and Jake, too.

No comment on Adriana, for now.

Forget about Tanner, Harry and Carmen. But of course, it wouldn’t be exciting if these antagonists were not there.

Not a dull moment in all of these four books. I know the author said you can read the prequel first or last, but I’d recommend you save it for later; it’ll be worth it.

Appetite Sated!

This is one of the most endearing and satisfying reads I have read in a long long time. From the first page to the last you are surrounded by a wonderful cast of characters who manage to welcome you into their world with open arms and embrace you as family. Surrounded by a community of close knit friends and neighbors, Red Mountain takes care of her own. The mountain represents the soul of the community and manages to instill confidence and compassion for all of the residents. I highly reccomend this series of books. It is one that will stick with me for years to come. I am greatly looking forwrd to reading more by Boo Walker.

A beautiful human interest story.

With so many main characters it's almost impossible to decide who was the star. All the characters were mesmerizing! I told everyone how wonderful the series was. However, I was so surprised about the prequel! I had put Margot up as woman of the century, but was so disappointed in her as she was portrayed before her move to Red Mountain. I guess the writings was as good, but her character was so insipid until she became herself on Red Mountain!

My new favorite books of all time!

Being from Washington state I felt like I was home again! I made friends within these pages I will never forget. I can only hope there are more books to come. Reading the prequel first was sound advice from MS Walker, helped me to get a real feel for a couple of the main characters. I will follow you closely and keep my fingers crossed that I may "see" my friends again!

I WANT MORE@#$%&!

This looked interesting so I clicked it up and then found I didn't want to put it down. I want more of these peoples' lives. I want to read more about Otis and Joan's trip, Jason's professional career and how he and Emelia come back together, plus all the others. Okay, Boo, I'm sure I 'm not the only one asking for more about your people and I really appreciate/love your use of language; so this means you need to write more so we can read it ASAP!!!!

Red Mountain

I highly recommend reading about Red Mountain, the whole series. The central character, Margot, is on a journey of self discovery. All of the characters are well developed and they all play important roles. Mistakes, disappointments, sorrow, and miracles keep it all interesting and the humor and insight are abundant. When I finished I took some good life lessons with me and I will miss the friends on Red Mountain.

I could. Relate to Margot, starting a new life with her son after divorcing her husband. I wish I had her courage to start over in a new environment.

I did not at the time. I just worked hard to raise my son by myself and left my life to go on alone. Now I'm old and enjoy reading stories about other people success stories.

Amazing

Red Mountain Chronicles and the Prequel was like reading a part of my life. It is nothing like my life, but reading it was like feeling all the things that happens in ones life. Hopefully, those who read this will understand and begin to realize that living life is long journey.

loved this series!

I love the character development and surprising twists and turns of these lives. The heartbreak, the joys and the sorrows, each on a quest to find his or her destiny and hitting bumps along the way. While Red Mountain is somewhat reminiscent of Virgin River, it’s unique in its setting in Eastern Washington wine country.

The Red Mountain Chronicles

I loved this series - the characters were so real, so many of their personalities resonated with me because of people I have met and know. The highs and lows of their life journeys brought so much life and emotion to the stories making it difficult to put the books down. Thank you Boo for your wonderful stories.

He did it again!

Once again Boo Walker captured my attention and my heart with the complex characters in the Red Mountain books.
I'd read them before but when I saw them again, all together in one book, I couldn't resist. We both are always recommending his books
Please never stop writing!

Tedious

The extreme neurosis was exhausting. I enjoyed a peek into eastern Washington and wine making. It seemed the only stable people were Jasper, Remi, and Emilie, maybe Jake. I didn't understand the back story od Margo's earlier marriage at the end after her new life had begun.

Loved the complete series. There were characters to love, to cheer on, and to think of horrible things to happen to....(they didn't, the author was kind). An excellent story with something for everything. Can't wait until someone decides to turn these into a movie or series. (Are you listening Netflix? HBO? Disney/Hulu?)

Interesting characters

There was some jumping from story line and character in the first three books that initially bothered me. A few questions about characters didn't get answered for me. I liked Margot's story because it was just about her.

Read most of the first book and it seemed like a very long soap opera with not much happening and much to much of the name-dropping & varietal description. Have decided to give up with only the first half of the first book read.

what a twist!

What a twist! I loved it! Listening to Alexa read this series while crafting was fabulous. The characters were written with rich backstories and the storyline was well planned. My heroes of this series of course would be Cody, John and Philip!

Second time around

After reading the first book of this collections why previously , I couldn't wait for the next book. A well written captivating story. Relationships abound both happy and sad. But strength comes from the location. Red Mountain. Reread happily.
