I have been a true fan of this series from the very beginning and I have been dying for Tank and Kat's story. Needless to say, I was not disappointed! This story gives us both Kat and Tank's back stories. Tank's background is heartbreaking and made perfect sense when it comes to understanding Tank's personality and the way he carries himself with fierce loyalty for those he loves. Kat's story...I knew it would be rough, but I was not expecting it to be as rough as it was. It was truly heartbreaking.
With loads of action, danger, drama, violence, betrayal...this was a very entertaining read. The storyline is very well written, dark and heartbreaking. Tank and Kat’s love story is epic and I can’t wait for the conclusion in the next book.

WOW that was a great book.... I can't wait to start the next one which is the second part of this one. We finally get Tank's and Kat's story of how they got to know each other and how and why she became the Black Widow. That ending was a fantastic cliff hanger but thankfully I don't have to wait for the next one. Just going to say Kat is a real cool *itch under pressure but she loves with a full heart even when she doesn't want to.

I don’t even know where to begin... Tank...Kat... my heart. We see sides of Tank we never knew could exist in him. And the same with Kat, the Black Widow. Her back story was one for the books let me tell you. There are twists and turns in here that slapped me sideways. Now I’m on pins and needles until the conclusion of this epic journey!

Whew my emotions are ALL over the place with this series! Scarlett Black has been added to my favorites list for sure! The cliffy at the end though has me screaming! On to the next book!

I'm sitting here contemplating and stewing.... Yes that's right I'm stewing. Why you ask?? Well Scarlett you have done it again. I love everything you write, but right now I just want to throttle you!!! Yeah, yeah I knew this book was going to end and leave me hanging, but why WHY did you have to leave me hanging like this.... Ok my cry baby attitude is over.
Now I'm going to get on with my review and tell you just how AWESOME this book is..I will start off by saying that the way this book is written you should read the other books in the series. Is it a must? No, but it would definitely with all of the interconnected storylines (I hope that makes sense).
Kat is a kicka$$ heroine that has been played as a pawn all of her life. She makes a decision to never let anyone play her again. That woman has been through so much from her POS father, to her "loving" husband. I love a strong female character, and Kat is definitely one of those. With that being said she is also a woman, a woman who is loyal to almost a fault.
Enter the man of the hour Tank. Tank is everything any warm blooded woman should want. He is fierce, loyal, and loves with everything he has. His own past left him a little jaded until Kat. He makes a decision that he will wear her down, learn to trust him, and finally she will be his!!
The both of them together is a the power couples of all power couples. As I have already started they are both loyal, and would do anything for those they care about. The chemistry is amazing, and the sweet and gentle side of Tank will just melt you heart.

Tank's background is heartbreaking and made perfect sense when it comes to understanding Tank's personality and the way he carries himself with fierce loyalty for those he loves. Kat's story...I knew it would be rough, but I was not expecting it to be as rough as it was. The author portrayed Kat's life as a Cartel Queen in great form and depth. The men of Battle Born are all fierce warriors and protectors and lovers, but they're definitely intimidated by Kat so, of course, who else could handle her but the Big T. Be advised that this book does end in a cliffhanger because the author felt that she could not do Kat and Tank justice by telling their story in only one book. I completely agree! Their love story is epic and it's definitely worth overlooking the short wait until the next book.

Escaping From Forever is book 5 in the amazing Battle Born MC series written by the talented and awesome Scarlett Black. I was waiting patiently for this book, this is Kat and Tank’s story. Well I'm actually speechless, Scarlett just blew me away with this amazing story. I still don't know if I hate you because normally I don't like cliffhangers, but Scarlett you left me like NO FREAKING WAY I need more. The story line is very well written, outstanding, dark, heartbreaking and beautiful with so much love. I truly love this series. Thanks Scarlett for writing such amazing characters!! Can't wait for more!!!

Otay y'all Part 1 is in the books and im not sure how I feel lol. I really like both Kat and Tank but even I wasn't sure how this was gonna work. I was surprised by all that we learned about Kat all that had happened in the past and through the years. Tank is so fierce and loyal and I kept wondering what was gonna happen next. There is so much drama, action and full on violence that will keep you questioning whats next. I think I need a hug after this book!

I enjoyed this book but as I read quite fast, AND it’s been a while since I read books 1-4, AND this book is background to the couple and sort of runs alongside books 1-4, I personally feel they need to be semi fresh in your mind when you pick this story up.
I’m off to do a reread of the series because I really believe lots of little things will drop into place and make this a 5 star for me.

Tank and Kat are a couple worthy of more than one book, that being said this book will make you want to strangle Scarlett Black but then also make you want to hug her because this storyline makes you understand Kat and Tank so much and you see them both in a totally different light.

The story of Kat, aka Black Widow, is a story full of suffering. Her father kills her mother and uses her as a pawn marrying her to the Cartel prince, Matias, to spy on him and to form an alliance between her father’s MC and the Cartel in the business. Her father trains her to make her the perfect Mata Hari.
Her husband abuses her for years in every possible way and she dreams of being able to escape from him one day.
She ends up discovering that her twin sister, Korina, the only support she had, has also betrayed her since she has been the liver of her husband and his spy for years, so Kat starts to plan her escape.
When she manages to flee to the States she begins to formulate her revenge plan, but she knows that she will need the help of the Battle Born MC. In return she will give them vital information about the MCs war that occurred years ago that involved her husband.
What Kat didn’t expect was Tank, this party-loving and manwhore biker, ends up carving a hole in Kay’s heart of stone.

This is the first part of Tank and Kat's story and boy does it pack a punch. I love Tank and he brings a lightness and humour to the books, however life has not always been easy for him. That said, Kat has had a horrific life really and this book tells us how she came to be the woman she is today. Great characters and a plot line that will take you on a dark and twisted ride that will have you on the edge of your seat wondering where the road will take you.
Amazing series, I can't wait to get started on the second part of this journey.

Tank has been through the ringer and yet he holds on. He has a great sense of humor only to hide his pain. I love him. I am afraid to read so fast because I don’t want this series to end. Most definitely going to have to read the whole thing a 2nd time.

OMG, so much drama, angst, and action. This book is a complete page turner, and it ends on a cliff hanger but thankfully the next book has already been released and I can download it immediately. I seriously love both of these characters and my heart completely broke for them.

This was an intense read. I was pulled in from start to finish. To know the backstory of Kat and Tank makes everything fall into place. This one had me on edge. There's so many twists and turns with an ending you won't see coming. An unforgettable first half of an amazing story. Definitely recommend.

I couldn't wait to read Kat/Black Widow's story. She is a bada$$ B*tch. She's a strong woman that needs a strong man to back her. And that is Tank. She's running from a past that is coming for her. What an emotional ride. The ending broke my heart. I'm glad I don't have to wait for the next book.
