After her mother’s untimely passing, Juniper Tate left the only home she’d ever known. As the years pass, Juniper realizes the only way to truly move forward with her life is if she returns to the place that still holds so many painful memories. Being welcomed back with open arms makes Juniper think the rash decision is going to be the best she’s made yet.
Her desire to feel wanted and shake the loneliness that’s plagued her for so long results in her making one too many mistakes. When it’s all said and done, she finds herself struggling for redemption and being left to pay the price for all of her wrong doing.
Please note: This novella does NOT end with the traditional HEA.
Messy! This Novella was dope I loved Juniper. I know sometimes losing a mother is hard. She was lost and made a lot of mistakes. I’m glad she got it right in the end. I wished her and Laith would’ve worked out. I feel so bad for Monroe she was a good person but Weylin was trash. I would love to hear from them again.
This was different, a book that showed what happens when we don't fully heal and recognize the blessings in our lives. I hope we hear from her and Monroe again. I want to see them healed and in love so I hope that happens soon.
Atonement: When It All Falls Down By ASH LEY Juniper lost her moms soon after she graduated High School. Feeling like she didn't have many in her corner, she went through life the way she figured out how...carefree. But she eventually paid dearly for that carefree attitude. Eventhough I felt bad for her, there was no getting around of the poor choices that she had made. The only thing that I hated about this book was that the author felt the need to give a disclaimer that it would not end in HEA for these whiney new breed, low level readers. I would have learned to have found that out on my own. 4*
This wasn’t your typical happy ending story but life isn’t always happy endings. I really enjoyed this story. It showed the things we can go through when we don’t heal from pain from our past. I think Juniper and Monroe deserves happy endings and it would be nice to see them get it in the future.
Totally unexpected ending, but man was the story worth reading. I loved Juniper, because she was so real about her stuff. Not one to play games or shoot the funk, she gave me life. It’s messed up how things played out, but she still ended up holding on to hope for her future although life was beating her down. Great read! ❤️
Loved it! Every part of it. I begin to connect the dots and I just want to say that Weylin ain’t sh*t. I’m glad that it wasn’t the happy ending that was expected, but it was still good nevertheless! Great, quick read!
