A third psychokinetic girl appears! Yet another girl is summoned to try and drag Hina back to their world! After Anzu, this makes three! The new girl's name? Mao. There's only one small hiccup: when Mao arrives, she finds herself stuck on a solitary island way out in the ocean. It looks like this psychokinetic girl's gonna be busy polishing up on her wilderness survival skills first. Meanwhile, Anzu tries out her first day of school, and Hitomi continues to rise to new, international heights when she finds herself on a short-term exchange program.

I just cannot get enough of middle schooler Hitomi Mishima stumbling deeper into adult jobs and activities, even when she tries to do something normal for her age, like a short trip to study abroad. The punchline is telegraphed but still makes me roar with laughter every time I look at the page.

The other characters do stuff to, I guess. Hina is depressed and vulnerable after last volumes final turn and is easy prey for Nitta's mother and sister. Anzu tries to attend school for the first time. Nitta tries to get back into his vase hobby/obsession with bittersweet results. All good stuff, sure, but I'm here for Hitomi.

And I still have one more volume on hand to read tomorrow. Yay.

This is one of the funniest volumes so far. There were some scenes where I was laughing nonstop for minutes. This volume both moved story along a bit (just a bit) and also builds absurd situations on jokes/settings previously set in last volumes (e.g., Hitomi taking lessons, Nitta making vases, etc). Amazing volume overall.

This is the first volume I started comparing the Norway scanlation (which is what I’ve been reading this whole time) to the official English release… I think I like the scanlation better! It’s stilted and awkward at times but it’s also frequently funnier, with goofier and more exaggerated phrasing (and more “fuck,” for what it’s worth).

Chapter 41 is maybe the funniest comic I've read in my life. It is a GOAT-tier manga chapter. The rest of the chapters in this volume are good too but oh my god that was the hardest I've laughed in a while.

I am not sure I have ever had so much fun reading a manga series. This was another spectacular volume.
