I was looking for books on the bookshop shelf and the name, and front image of Papa Ahmed immediately caught my eyes. I felt certain that I just had to buy this book....which i did and i do not regret it one bit.
I have to be honest that I never came across this author before but i thought that this book deserves a try and so I did....and I was not wrong.
It was a magical journey that takes you throughout lands and time. I was so mesmerized by the plot and the characters. The pace was so peaceful even though the story was taking place in places and times that were and are filled with war and turbulence. I could understand every sentence and I enjoyed reading each word. I just could not set this book down!
The story was filled with surprises....and I was left with my jaw wide open until the very last page. I could not hold back tears either.
Mr. Joe Pace...you truly made me lose myself in a brilliant and magical written world!

Just finished it. Though it has an original plot, it didn't grab me like his previous one Suq Ghax dalam. I feel that though Joe made a lot of research about Gerusalem, the Holy Passion of Christ could have been avoided in the plot. My rating is 3.5 but I can't round it up to 4 as it didn't grab me like Suq ghax dalam which my rating was 4 for it.

Ktieb differenti milli naqra ssoltu, izda vera hadt pjacir naqrah! Il-ktieb miktub b'mod li jiehdok mieghu tul iz-zminijiet differenti b'mod mill-iktar deskrittiv, tant li timmaginak qieghed f'xi kantuniera tara l-istorja ssehh!
