This is a great book set. All books is about a necromancer who meets their mate or mates. Each story sets up perfectly for each of the characters. You will love all the characters in each book. They each bring their own appeal and personality that you will enjoy. You can't go wrong with this set. It has action, steamy encounters and betrayal and happily ever after. There were a few stories that start off with the excitement and action and unpredictable with things you don't see coming. Despite that necromancers were feared, hunted and thought to be evil. They had to hide their abilities from people but were determine to live a different path. Each necromancer raised to the challenges presented to them and overcame. I loved each story.

It was so boring. I could even finish any of the books. There were too many plot holes. If I could give it zero stars I would.

This was coped from the intro of the book.

All six tales can be read as standalone stories. Blood and Deceit, Frost & Forfeit, and The Necromancer & Prey include m/f relationships. Death & Choice, Spell Caster, and Fae Blessed include reverse harem relationships.

The stories are:
#1. Death & Choice: An assassin who hates killing becomes a bodyguard for a Prince.
#2. Frost & Forfeit: The true story of how Jack Frost gained his powers from the Fae Queen of Winter.
#3. Spell Caster: A murder mystery with a twist, may include talking to the dead.
#4. The Necromancer & Prey: Can a necromancer and a shifter work together to uncover a life-threatening plot.
#5. Fae Blessed: The end of the world has arrived, can paranormals survive?

I really enjoyed reading all these adventures and want to jump into more of these characters stories.

- Blood and Deceit
I love the fact that we get to jump back into the Paranormal Council world with this new book. While this book is in the Paranormal Council world it is a standalone book. There are plenty of twist, turns, deadly secrets and unexpected love wrapped up in this great book
- Death's Choice
Previously in the Captivated boxed set, this is another story inside of the Paranormal Council universe and let me tell you the characters and world building draw you in and keep you hooked till the end with the action and suspense that surrounds Kali and her men.
- Frost's Forfeit
I was happy to read this book as it answered so many questions that I had to one of her other series. This authors books are always a great read and pull you into the world like you are watching it happen in person.
- Spell Caster
I love the fact that the author has started more books in the Paranormal Council Universe. While this book may be part of the PCU it is the start of a new RH series! The characters fit perfectly in the PCU and it was nice to see a couple of the people from previous books while the focus was on Cassie and her men.. I can not wait to see what is in store for the rest of this new series.
- The Necromancer's Prey
This is the third book in the Paranormal Council series and focuses on Rory (Aurora) and Alden, and is just as enjoyable as the first two books in the series. I liked the twist to the Necromancer theme that was put into place, it shows that you can not judge everyone based off of labels
- Fae Blessed
This is the second book in the Blessed series but can be read as a stand alone, But I would recommend reading the first book so you have a bit of the background. After being alone and searching for her best friend for five years, Perry encounters Kingsley and Jordan. All three of them are cautions around others but in the end they helped each other.

I guess necromancy is the newest genre that authors are doing. I had read Frost’s Forfeit as a stand alone story previously and it was a cute story more telling than actual action happening in that story. It however for me was the strongest of the stories in this book as there was some actual sexual tension between Nieves and Jack and they did get to know each other before being mated.

Besides necromancy these stories all share, vampires, witches, shifters, fae and a couple of other things thrown in. The characters are pretty one-dimensional for me and as such didn’t really connect with any of them. Some of the stories drug on and I will admit to skipping a few pages to move the plot along.

The mated thing is so over done now that it’s more of an eye roll in a story. For me it gives the author a lazy way to kick off a relationship instead of actual word building and the necessary tension that goes with deciding if you like this person enough to be with them.

There were some parts of the stories that did elicit a chuckle or two and some parts just made me sigh in exasperation. For me there really wasn’t any sexual tension because everyone knew right away that they were to be mates and that just made them coming together a moot point.

These stories all had great potential to be so much more. Cut down on the unnecessary filler, give the characters more dimension let them actually fall in love or lust and then they could be a mated pair. Don’t put the cart before the horse so often with the characters. There are times when the scene is set really well and then the action of a character just makes it fall apart. Less telling and more showing, the characters are coming across very immature and as such makes it hard to not think of them as teenagers trying to be grown ups.

Suppose to be six books but there was only 5. All of them were good books worth reading.
Blood & deceit
A different story in that it deals with Necromancers who usually only play small parts in stories. Is a quick read so not as much character or location descriptions as there could have been. Still an easy afternoon read.
Deaths choice
Another easy read short story. More information on Necromancers, the heroine is not really happy with her life being controlled by the order to assassinate people. When the opportunity arises to change this she does with the help of 3 fated mates. More to be told of this story hope there is a follow up book.
Frost’s Forfeit
Loved this story as I have read the other books in the series and now I know how the Winter Queen lost her powers. Will have to reread the other books now. Interesting to learn more about Necromancers.
Spell Caster
A great introduction to a new series of paranormal investigators. The main story, of who was killing paranormals was completed in this book, but the under lying story of Cassie joining her 3 bond mates in paranormal investigations is set to continue in the next book. Although the locations in the story were well described and so were the personalities of her mates, there was no description of what the guys looked like and apart from Cassie’s hair colour changing we don’t know how she looks either. Look forward to the next book to see how the relationships develop.
Fae blessed
Although there is a necromancer as one of the main characters he does not use his powers very much as in the previous books in this set. It was interesting to see the other characters at the sanctuary which we have been introduced to in other books. More to come in the next book I am sure.

Blood and Deceit is a standalone story but a great addition to the Paranormal Council Universe. The characters are interesting, the story flows smoothly and is filled with magic, shifters, vampires, secrets, mystery, romance and so much more.
Death's Choice: This story is part of the Paranormal Council Universe. Great characters, and an intriguing storyline. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next for Kali and the guys.
Frost's Forfeit is a quick, entertaining story and a twist on the tale of Jack Frost. The characters are interesting, fun and well developed and I am looking forward to reading Saving Eira.
Spell Caster: Cassie is a witch/scientist who works at a research lab and is pretty good at figuring out strange things with the help of her magic. When her boss gives her an unusual blood sample to study she gets pulled into a world full of mystery, magic, investigations and the paranormal. I really like Cassie and when she meets the three men who are her mates they make a formidable team. This is a great murder mystery
The Necromancer's Prey: Rory a necromancer and Alden an owl shifter are unexpected mates. In this book we find out more about necromancers and the connection between Rory and Alden. This is a short paranormal romance with intriguing characters and a great storyline.
Fae Blessed: Perry, a falcon shifter has been on her own for five years looking for her friend Theo. Along the way she meets a necromancer and a half shifter/half fae. This is a well written book set in an apocalyptic world full of adventure, suspense, drama, romance and twists that pulled me into the story.

First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Blood and Deceit
Excellent first story. I haven't read any of the Necromacers stories, but I will now. Tabbitha was in a bad position with there being no Necromancer Council, but it worked out for her when she met Rick, a vampire.

Death's Choice
Excellent story. This one is an RH. Kali is an assassin for the Order of the Shroud and she hates it. She hates taking life. She's given an assignment to protect instead of killing, and it's where she meets her mates, Henry & Charles.

Frosts Forfeit
Excellent story. Nieve is the Queen of the Winter Fae. This story is the authors take on how Jack Frost came about.

Spell Caster 1
Excellent story. This story is an RH, with crime fighting, and it's got a bit of a mystery to it. I love how Cassie can change her hair color with just th save of her hand. I should be so lucky.

The Necromancer's Prey
Excellent story. Rory is so sweet & innocent, and Alden is kind & strong. They make the prefect match.

Fae Blessed 2
Excellent story. This story is an RH, that's about the end of the world as we know it. Perry, a shifter, has been on her own & searching for her best friend for 5 yrs. She meets 2 men who happen to be her fated mates.

I recommend this read 5 Thumbs up.

I have read a variety of this author's books, and I thought I would check out this particular collection because I was intrigued by the idea that the overall theme binding this collection was necromancy. It is such an offbeat topic for paranormal romance that I was wondering how the author would keep the stories distinct. Knowing what I know of her other writing, I should not have been worried. Each story is unique, with different setups, mysteries, and action. Even the romance aspect was different because some of the books are reverse harem—with different dynamics between the harems—while others were not. The only book I wasn't wild about was Fae Blessed, which is one I had to read before as a part of the Blessed series; that series as a whole just didn't jibe with me. I enjoyed reading more about the Paranormal Council universe, though. All in all, this was an enjoyable collection of books. If you haven’t read this author before, this is a good sampling of her writing.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

You have 6 books that all have one main theme Necromancers weather its a women or a man. One of the books touches on the Fae Realm another a distant past with a necromancer assassin but the others seem to be a more modern Europe with one even having a dystopian future that if you read more of the books mite explain how the future ended and how the Fae can bring it back. There are some reverse harem themed relationships and some single couples not all the stories have allot of romance but you see the beginning of them. There are several different paranormal the bad guy's are human and paranormal and you see even the different political hierarchies for ever species you have the good and the bad.
You have family betrayal as well as betrayal by there own kind. Having never read any of the authors previous work it was easy for me to pick on the different themes. Having said that I'm not sure if these are previous stories about the different themes or if they are new standalone stories i liked them i just wish some of the stories were longer and less rushed.

This was quite the collection to read. With six stories featuring necromancers, it runs the risk of feeling repetitive. Nope, not even close. Plenty of variety in both characters and action. There was some pulling in of familiar characters in the last story especially, but each was individualized and unique. With a couple reverse harem books, there was the extra fun of more characters to get to know and fall in love with. I enjoyed all the variety in shifters and other magical folk that made up the books. It is hard for me to even pick out a favorite from the collection because I enjoyed them all. Fun to read, this collection of books is perfect for a person who enjoys paranormal romance especially necromancers.

This book has all the variety you could want in a box set! We have six stories of necromancers who find love and happiness, 3 male/female and 3 reverse harem stories. Titles included are: Blood and Deceit, Death's Choice, Frost's Forfeit, Spell Caster, The Necromancer's Prey, and Fae Blessed.

The story lines from this author are always exciting, drawing the reader in and providing the entertainment we’re looking for in a good book! You’ll find characters you can admire and care for as you follow the twists and turns they must navigate that motivate them to find their HEA. And there are great endings for each one to give you that feel-good sense of completion! Take a chance on these stories! You’ll be glad that you did!

I have read most of the books in this collection as part of others series or stand alones. In one way or another, love is at the heart of each - be it maternal/ filial, romantic, love of gods and countries or peoples.

In tarot the death card does not always mean literally death. It can signify transition or significant change.

The women and lives in these stories change lives and worlds.

This could be a great read for you, If you like butt kicking female characters, strong family ties and all sorts of variations of steamy hot coupledom- or harem / reverse harem plural-dom .

Magic and power, orgasms and betrayal- oh, oh my!

This collection was interesting and everything is set in the same world, though some crossovers are more obvious than others. The order of the books appears to be random, since the timeline, as I could figure it seemed to skip around. And the RH stories were mixed in with the more traditional couples, so it wasn't organized in that way either. There were a couple things that seemed inconsistent from one book to another, but maybe that just has to do with the POV and necromancer secrecy.

A Touch of Necromancy: Six Tales of Necromancers by Laura Greenwood is a collection of the following tales: Blood & Deceit, Death’s Choice, Frost’s Forfeit, Spell Caster, The Necromancer’s Prey, and Fae Blessed. What these tales all have in common is the feature a necromancer and a unique love story between two or more people. Each and every one of these stories was a wonderful stand alone read. Together they make an amazing set that I couldn’t put down. If you are looking for a great paranormal romantic read than this book is for you. I loved every single story in it. A Touch of Necromancy: Six Tales of Necromancers is full of amazing and exciting tales!

An excellent collection of six of Laura Greenwoods' stories, all sharing the same theme: necromancers. Each book can be read as a standalone, and although they belong to different series, and I've read them individually, it's a delight to have them all in one collection. The storylines vary in each book, still you'll find mystery, suspense and hot romance in each and everyone of them. If you're a fan of Laura Greenwood, then this collection is a must have.

This is a great set of necromancer stories, all set in the Paranormal Council universe. I had read a couple of these previously but I think it is fabulous to have such an excellent collection in one place. I really enjoyed reading these stories one after another. They are all different, but with the same theme. Loved it!

This is a great set of books if you’re interested in paranormal romance and fantasy, and a great mix if you haven’t read any of the author’s work before. I had already read a couple of books in this set, and it was nice to have six all together near the same theme. Definitely worth the money, especially if you already enjoy Greenwood’s books.
