The Fixer, Always Alone
A 10 star ⭐️ read, compelling and absorbing from the minute you read that very first page, right through to the intriguing, suspenseful end! The characters are a force to be reckoned with! Honourable, loving, and kind with only the greater good in mind! They sacrifice their love and lives for one another! I smiled, I wept for the beautiful Harvard 6, brothers, friends, wives and lovers!
Maverick and Carly’s love shines through but both never want to sacrifice their friendship, so besties forever it has to be! Will the Fixer go ‘above and beyond’ this time and keep Carly safe? Maverick was intoxicated and stunned by Carly's many personas and her deep down honesty, both each other’s missing pieces, but can they continue to be friends forever! This gripping storyline and the biggest twist of all that you do not see coming at the end was very revealing! This book is a superb read by the inimitable Stoni Alexander the best of the very best in this genre, she delivers the most exquisite goods every time! Will Carly ever be Hott and Owned? Will their be another book in this great series, god I hope so!

Good, not great, and exhausting to read - read on KU
Do you ever read a book and feel like it wore you out and not in a good way? It isn't as if it writing emotions out of you that did it. It just felt like pulling teeth to get the good stuff? Or it was in slow motion and you wanted the fast forward button? I think that latter one best describes this book. I did enjoy it. It had a good storyline, even if the coincidences were a bit too much to be believable. I didn't really even realize how exhausting it had been until I started to click to download the next book and thought to myself that I wasn't sure I was ready to endure another one.
There were some decent steamy scenes in this. Not the best, but worth reading. The couple had decent chemistry. They worked well together.
There were some problems, though. First, I would have much preferred it be first person POV. Romances, especially the steamy scenes, are so much better in first person. The grammar had some issues but wasn't horrible. Some things were strangely written. For example, this sentence, "The press surrounded him like a caged bird...." It would have made much more sense for it to have read "The press made him feel like a cage bird...." or "The shouts from the press were like the squawks of caged birds...."
Maverick owns a large security company. When a drama is thrown his way, he can only cover two or three weeks of payroll. His company isn't very successful if that's all the capital he has on hand. And he makes no effort to borrow any knowing he will likely get his problem straightened out. It would concern me to work for a company that didn't have better financial security than that. Not to mention that I have a hard time believing his problem would have hit him so hard so fast. He would have had Ling term contracts with customers and they wouldn't have dropped like flies on a dime.
He has some wealthy family and they don't offer to help. For that matter, Carly is struggling to keep her PI business. She inherited it from her grandfather and she claims most of their clients have died off. It really hasn't been that long since her grandfather died. Carly has been friends with Maverick's family and friends for a long time. How is that all those contacts don't send her more business?
On the other hand, it seems the security company would have some tech whizzes that would run circles around her abilities at finding some data. And some things were just outdated. For instance, Maverick asks his father to escort them to police headquarters to get the police record on her grandfather's death. The claim is she would have been able to get it on her own but his connection gets it faster. That's great and all but couldn't he have just called and asked them to email it over? And, he is an attorney. Seems odd he would he would have that much clout with the police but reiterates the point that he is Ina position to send business her way.
One final comment, which has no bearing on my rating, the cover of this book is ridiculous. Yes, the guy's hot but he looks constipated and awkward. And while I like aviator sunglasses, they are just too much here. I don't find any of the covers on the books in this series to be very professional looking. They look like they're done by a novice with some basic graphic abilities.
I did enjoy the book, and will eventually finish the series. I hope in future books, Ms. Alexander will write romances in first person and shift something in her writing where the book flies by instead feeling like it's barely moving. I know it is contradictory, but it didn't drag, but never got anywhere fast, either.

I have a confession to make. I only read this book in the series hoping for more insight into Sin so I could understand his character in the next book a little better.
Anyone who knows me knows that I hate and avoid the friends to lovers trope. It's hard to avoid at least one side getting their feelings hurt especially when they've been best friends since childhood and I couldn't see how this would be any different because in all the previous books we've been shown that maverick is the ultimate manwhore/playboy/ladies man. But color me suprised when Stoni flipped the script. Although they both secretly pined for one another they still maintained very separate sex lives and didn't talk about that topic at all. It didn't seem like it was flaunted but just a foregone conclusion. I loved that Carly was the kinky one while our ladies man was pure vanilla. The scene where he discovers her secrets was chef's kiss.
And my fav scene by far was the out of nowhere jealousy displayed by the misunderstanding in Sin's office (following the departure of Tiffany, IYKYK). The rest of the book was decent...a lot of sickening I love yours every two seconds but it had a satisfactory conclusion to the suspense regarding Carly's client and maverick's business.

I received this book for an honest and voluntary review. I am loving the Touch Series. This is the 3rd book I've read in the series, and they can be read out of order as each book can be read as a standalone. The Heroes are a group of college friends that have continued their friendship well into adult hood. They have some shared business ventures, and all their own business of some sort.
The Heroines tend to be kick ass in their own right, my kind of woman, because it takes a strong woman to handle these guys.
Ashton "Maverick" Hott is a former Navy Seal that now runs a security company, ThunderStrike that not only provides protection services, it also does hostage recovery. They take the missions the government can't. However a crooked senator has other ideas, basically blackmail. So Ashton turns to the one person he could always trust his best friend Carly Stone. That's when the sparks start to fly and my oh my do they fly. Not one to give away the rest of the story , one will just have to read and find out.

Stoni Alexander started out The Touch Series on a high note with The Mitus Touch and each addition to this series has only gotten better. The Hott Touch starts out with an intense and gripping first chapter and honestly that intensity really doesn't wane much throught the entire book. Great suspense and intrigue with some kinky sizzle mixed in will keep you turning pages. Ashton "Maverick" Hott and Carlyle "Carly" Stone are perfectly paired. Lifelong friends who are one another's touchstones whose love for each other is obvious to everyone but them. It takes a corrupt politician, a couple of uncaring selfish relatives, a cold case murder and some kinky fun and games for these two to finally declare their love for one another. Carly agrees to help Ash clear him and his company from wrongdoing accusations from a Senate committee. In doing so she uncovers a case her recently deceased grandfather was working on. That case dovetails into Ash's problems. The results are explosive and almost deadly. The outcome is an HEA but not before some heartstopping, dangerous events.

Another wonderful Book
I’m not reading the books in this series in order. I started with the 5th book (In Walked Sin) and then got about a quarter of the way through the 1st book (The Mitus Touch) before I somehow got started on this book. I really loved the start of this book and stuck with it.
This 4th book is about Ashton “Maverick” Hott and Carly Stone. It has it it all: friendship, love, sex, kinky sex, intrigue, mysteries and drama. What a great book! Which one will be next? Hmmmmm….

Another extraordinary book
The books by this author are becoming my go to reads. This one is full of special people all bound together in a wide family who want to keep the world safe and all the people in it. Mix in the feelings that come to a head between Carly and Ashton and wow does it ignite their feelings.

Hot, hot, hot!
These characters are so well crafted, they feel like real people and their story has depth. So many romantic suspense thrillers are just a cheesy vehicle for erotica. There’s not cheese here! Highly recommend the entire Touch series!

Every time I think she’s out done herself, I’m eating my words. This one just blew me away. Her heros are so amazing and I just want one in my bed. In this one we get more of a taste of the paramilitary stuff she’s been alluding to in the other books with the super secret spy drones and stuff. Finally we are seeing why Maverick is the hottest of the group!!! It was worth the wait.
A friends to lovers romance, like no other, that keeps you guessing when they are finally going to admit it to one another they just can’t stand to be alone. Their sex is off the charts as well as the hot attraction. I’m just not sure how they stayed friends this long. It takes all the crew to get them together, but it’s just the two keeping it together and making something of it. It was interesting in all the other books both parties liked the sex clubs, but in this one, Maverick isn’t a big fan. Yeah, he’s been to them. Hell, his brother owns one, but he doesn’t get the joy from it the others do. Now Carly on the other hand is an exhibitionist and loves this type of environment. The way his brother devises the plan for them to be able to stay monogamous without being in a private room is great and Maverick’s personality makes it even more believable. I haven’t known any man that could walk into a situation like he does and only have eyes for one woman. Again, can I keep him?
Although both characters are emotional in the book, throughout the hard work, they are true professionals who never lose site of the end game. There isn’t any hard gushing tears and ooh woe is me crap, they realize it sucks, they accommodate, accept, and pick their heads up and press on. That is in true military style which also works for Maverick’s role. I couldn’t imagine him with a sniveling idiot. He is always challenging other people and he needed a girl to challenge him. Carly does that on more than one level; intellectually, sexually, and emotionally. He’s constantly having to figure her out and adapt his plan to her. She keeps him on his toes and she doesn’t even know it.
It was nice to also get a few updates of old characters I loved so much from the series. You don’t get a lot, but I’m sure there is room for at least one more book from this crazy group of college friends. Stoni also gives a shout out to the “22 a Day” military veteran suicides we have, in hopes to save lives. I hope like the rest the Wickedcoolflight Crew that this campaign will end these tragic deaths. She also sheds some light on the illness of PTSD and how it affects daily life and how we cope with it. She does an excellent job on these topics. I’m giving this 4.5 of 5 because although it is great, I’m not sure it will be in my Top 10 list this year. But I might surprise you and have it there. Stay tuned, I’m sure we will not be hearing the last of Ms. Stoni Alexander!!

Ashton "Maverick" Hott, handsome, cocky CEO of Thunderstrike, never got seriously injured until he last mission. His injuries brought his best friend Carly, best friend and his family to Germany while he was recovering. When Carly saw Maverick's injured body it brought all kinds of feelings to Carly. She couldn't lose him because she loved him.
Carly and Ash has been best friends ever since they were young. They always relied on each other and racquet ball buddies. Also Carly was really close to Maverick's family and she treasured his family more than hers.
Ash is still recovering and had to meet one of politician who helped his business early on. When he denies his request of spying, he threatens to make Thunderstrike loose all the government contract, Ash needs Carly's help.
Carly has been working at his grandfather's private investigation and when he passed away, she inherited his business and she is working on couple cases but not enough to keep her business open.
When Ash needed her help, she was willing to help except they have to play married couple. Ash wanted Carly for long time but this time it was serious and wanted to go beyond friendship.
Carly's grandfather's last case and Ash's undercover work is intertwined and they will have to keep digging. But it will be dangerous for both. Ash will do anything to protect Carly.
Now they will have to figure out who is behind all the murders and find love while doing it.
It was action packed from beginning to the very end. Carly and Ash were great and I have read previous ones and this one didn't disappoint. It is Hott from beginning to end. Great summer read.

Ash is still recovering and had to meet one of politician who helped his business early on. When he denies his request of spying, he threatens to make Thunderstrike loose all the government contract, Ash needs Carly's help.
Carly has been working at his grandfather's private investigation and when he passed away, she inherited his business and she is working on couple cases but not enough to keep her business open.
When Ash needed her help, she was willing to help except they have to play married couple. Ash wanted Carly for long time but this time it was serious and wanted to go beyond friendship.
Carly's grandfather's last case and Ash's undercover work is intertwined and they will have to keep digging. But it will be dangerous for both. Ash will do anything to protect Carly.
Now they will have to figure out who is behind all the murders and find love while doing it.
It was action packed from beginning to the very end. Carly and Ash were great and I have read previous ones and this one didn't disappoint. It is Hott from beginning to end. Great summer read.

Big, boisterous, super sexy HOTT and sweet
The Hott Touch (Book 4 of The Touch Series) by Stoni Alexander is another wonderfully well written romance full of really great stuff. Danger, suspense, sensual delights, highs and lows, deep emotional connections and a battle of wills.
Ashton “Maverick” and Carly are long time friends who have ignored their love for one another for what would seem like too long, but maybe just the right amount of time.
With a little bit of help, in a variety of ways, Carly and Ash end up working closely together creating an opportunity for them to finally realize what a great and solid foundation they have. Maverick has been an intriguing character in this series and I am overjoyed that he finally has his own book and the perfect compliment to him in Carly.
Overall, this gripping suspenseful romance will keep the reader fully engaged and vested to the very end. I was engrossed in these characters and completely captivated in their evolving connection that was extremely solid to begin with. I especially love the HEA for these two, it absolutely does Ash and Carly justice, so very fitting.

I have to agree with the Blurb's tagline - It has been the most anticipated book in The Touch series. Ash's story is here!!!! I love Ash (Maverick) and Carly! Their friendship is golden! There is so much that puts this story together and I loved riding the journey as the it unfolds.
The steamy scenes with make your device melt! Ash and Carly have a story to tell and believe me when I say you are in for a HOTT RIDE! There will be a few twists and turns, and a time or two you trying to uncover some secrets these characters holds. The intensity of the story will capture you until the very end! It was nice to rekindle with the series previous characters. I am excited for what Stoni has in store for us next!!

I've been patiently waiting for this book!!! Finally Ash and Carly are here!!! I'm still at a loss on what to say about this book. Stoni will have you flipping page after page. I was hooked from the beginning all the way to the end. I could not get enough of these characters.
Ash and Carly have placed one another in the friend zone, but for completely different reasons. Ash doesn't want to give his heart away after all the loss he has endured in his life. Carly doesn't want to lose her best friend and his family that is more of a family to her than her own.
But after a botched mission Ash is hurt and starts to reevaluate his life and what he wants. Can he convince Carly that the change is worth it and that they belong together forever? Will she keep pushing him back into the friend zone, or will she come to realize its always been him and go forward with her feelings?
Not only do we get an amazing friends to lovers story, Stoni also deliver's suspense, intrigue, danger and a little mystery.
I'm loving this series and can only hope that Sin's book is next.

Whew! Maverick and Carly's story was off the charts hott and sexy! I didn't want to put this book down. Ashton (Maverick) had a traumatic experience he was trying to overcome. His friend Carly was there for him. However, he unexpectedly learned things about her he didn't think he could ever forget. Carly and Ash are inseparable as this story progresses and they have to rely on each other while determining who is after Ash and why. I really enjoyed the mystery/danger in this book and watching Carly and Ash work together. They have chemistry both in and out of bed and I didn't want to this book to ever end! I adored their journey and can't recommend this book enough!

Stoni Alexander did a phenominal job writing this amazing read it's full of suspence, danger, corruption, mystery, secrets, passion, some BDSM, twists that have you glued to your seat.
I defintely recommend to get this book so well worth the read and the characters are so well developed captivating they pull you right into their drama like your right there I so can't wait for the next book "SIN'S STORY. PHENOMINAL READ IT'S A MUST HAVE FOR SURE!!!!!

But her family leaves a lot to be desired. These two have been through thick and thin, with and for, each other through the years, and are finally together in every way. This has some low level kink and a lot of suspense. This is my first book in this series and except for a reference to a couple of characters, this read very well as a standalone. If you want some kink mixed with a good suspense, this book is for you.

Friends to so much more
THE HOTT TOUCH is the second book I have read in The Touch Series and I liked this one just as much if not more than the first. The story of Carly and Ashton (Maverick) is definitely interesting and kept me fully enthralled from the first to the last page. They make one very powerful and fun couple, whether they are trying to pose as husband and wife or whether they go from best friends to lovers and then more. The story-line is solid and the characters have depth to them, along with suspense, intrigue, danger, fun and off the charts chemistry, which they try to ignore until it is more than impossible to.
This was a really great story and a wonderful read. I would recommend THE HOTT TOUCH.

Well holy crap this book is named correctly!!! There's things that these two best friends don't know about each other, one might be a little more shocking than the other to one of them though. When Maverick comes home from a mission he wants to set the record straight with Carly about how he feels BUT will Carly feel the same or will she not want to take a chance? She can't lose him as a friend or his family, they're everything to her.
This book is HOTT!!! I could feel the anxiety that Carly had with the maybe's that could happen. I could feel the feelings that these two had for each other. I loved catching up with the characters from previous books and cant' wait for the next one!

Really really good romantic suspense novel. Ashton and Carly are the hottest couple. Friends since childhood but afraid to admit their true feelings for fear of losing their close friendship. The story involves a rescue mission gone slightly awry, a crooked politician, a long cold case, unsolved murders, philandering, dysfunctional families, a little BDSM, and of course romance with great love scenes. Loved the characters and the plot was a page turner. I enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it.
