Next you can watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. After getting acquainted with the main actors, in this film you will be invited to go on an adventure following Harry who has entered his second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. One of the mysteries in this film, are several messages on the walls of the school corridors warning that the "Chamber of Secrets" has been opened and "Slytherin's descendants" will kill all students who do not come from pure wizard families.

I liked this a little less than our pop-up book of the first Harry Potter. While I like that the art follows the book instead of the movie, the art in this version looks less like the book illustrations of Mary GrandPre. That was a huge negative for me. The art looked too cartoonish. Also, I'm all for flaps and pull tabs, but this book seemed to have too many per page to make up for the fact that the effects were often not so great. However, the spiders and basilisk made up for the rest.

I am reading this with my children, and we love it. (This is the second time I have read it, but it is on the list of mandatory books to read with my children. It is our first time as a family.)
