How far would you be willing to go to save the life of an innocent teenage girl who was betrayed by those closest to her? Would you risk your life, and everything you've ever known, to go somewhere unfamiliar and take on the evil that resides there, in order to save her and not let her become one of the forgotten? Jon Dough - drug kingpin, hustla turned hero, a bad man who hunts down bad men to protect the innocent - is willing to do whatever it takes to bring this girl home safely. And, those responsible WILL pay.
This is probably the second book written by Kevin Macklin, author of All Gas. In this book, a girl goes missing and Jon Dough is brought in to help find her after a brief police investigation gets nowhere. Jon used his particular methods to figure out what's going on. Well written, good story. Waiting eagerly to see what's next from Kevin Macklin. It is a short read, a good story, language is easy and catchy.
I started this not knowing what to expect and it was more than I could have imagined. There was a lot of action packed in what felt like a quick read. I need to know more about Jon. I need his back story. How does he have so much money? What happened to the detective? What happened to the reporter? Can I know more about El Cordon? Did he get taken out? I appreciated this, I just need more. What can I say? I'm greedy. Good job Kev!
I like vigilante justice, morals aside. Jon Dough is an action character of few words. The story is simple and the writing is ok. This shortie is a straight line from beginning to end.
