My first book by this author and what an enjoyable read. Once I started reading I kept turning the pages and rooting for this couple. It’s an emotional story because the author brings Rhys and Whitney to life on the pages revealing their inner struggles with dealing with their own self-inflicted guilt for their perceived failures to take care of their family members. It’s a story about love between a man and a woman, love for your sibling, love for your child and your grandchild as well as a look at dysfunctional love at different levels. The hero is a biker (no MC’s here) and a typical alpha male who loves deeply. Whitney is a strong, independent woman who feels she failed her sister. It’s also a story of seeing the impact of assuming something is true when you don’t have all the facts. Whitney learns the hard way that her assumptions about Rhys were totally wrong. Rhys learns that even though you make many mistakes when you’re young, there comes a time when everyone has to be accountable for their own actions. This book is a true love story. There’s loads of sexual tension/chemistry but not many detailed sex scenes, which was fine with me. The story and the gradual build of the relationship hooked me completely. I really liked this author’s writing style and her ability to weave a gripping story that has you rooting for the characters and wanting them to have their HEA.
Before Morgan died of a Drug Overdose, she had a request for her sister Whitney, find my daughter, your niece and get her away from her father. Whitney promised her sister that she would protect her niece SaraJane, from her Drug Dealing, Prostitute Pimping, theiving father Rhys
When she finally locates Rhys, she soon discovers that things aren't exactly the way that Morgan said that they were and now she wonders, if anything that her sister said was true.
Her Sister's Secret is a roller coaster ride for your emotions. A darling three-year-old, a sister's promise, a custody battle, and enough suspicion to go around will keep your reading to the end. The romance element is a bit annoying because the heroine refuses to express her emotional feelings to the man who comes to love her until he does first. Her failure to do so leads to a lot of pain for this wonderful caring hero. But all ends well at the end.
I bought this book because it sounded really good. I liked the cover too. I thought it was a biker story but even though it wasn't, I enjoyed it. It was a typical Harlequin romance novel, which I still love reading after all these years. I smiled, cried, yelled, and devoured every page.
This is the first of your books that I have read, unless you have a pen name. I just fell in love with the characters and I couldn't put it down. We had a time share in Sedona so it's memories are precious. So heart warming. I will read more. You are my new favorite author. God bless you Yuma is my home.
My favorite character was the little three-year-old girl that was the center of the plot, the child the hero and heroine wanted. Although there were a couple of sex scenes, which I would prefer not be there, and a lot of sexual tension, the focus was on love--family and romantic.
I had to force myself to finish this story, I just couldn’t connect nor could it keep my attention. To me it was way way, way too much of everything else and not much actual conversation aka talking.
Her sister's secret, as with most the Super Romance books, was a quick fluff read. It was a very cute story and I love the characters, however it was very deliberate in the writing and you so know where the story is going to go. There were some twists in the story that were shocking but all in all a quick read for the beach
GREAT GREAT GREAT. I love the story from beginning to end but especially the end. If you read one book this year let this be the one. I literally couldn't put th book down.
One great book!!!!!!!
Think love; mystery and happiness all rolled in one book. Read this book to gain all these things.
This is definitely going on my favorites list. I have three nieces, and a nephew, of my own, and my sister and I are very close, so I can definitely symp-/empathize with Whitney's dilemma. And little SaraJane is so darn cute, you can't help but smile at what she says and does.
Whitney has not seen her drug addict sister for years it she tells her a story and she proceed to get her sister's child. I don't understand why she doesn't just approach these people to determine what is the truth.
Really loved the book. Shows lots of meaning and shows you that not all things are what they seem until you've heard the words yourself and seen things for yourself
