a true winner

one thing about Toni Goode is that she clearly distinguishes how circumstances effect women differently than they do men. take Emma, a cop going undercover to investigate her sister’s murder and see if it ties in to other murders. that alone would be dangerous enough, but when you conflate it with Christian, a partner that’s got the hots for her, John and his… “thing” and all the kink-related undercover activities, it becomes literally hair-raising!

I enjoyed this fast paced, action-packed murder mystery with elements of a slow burn romance. Emma is a police officer who investigates a death at a BDSM club. The club owner, John Conners is extremely attractive but rubs her the wrong way. She is intrigued by him but can't bring herself to consider being in his Lifestyle. This book ends on a cliff hanger. Narrator Sam Rosenthal did a great job.

Good story but...

I mostly enjoyed this book and the storyline but it was spoiled by the terrible punctuation or lack thereof. 'She' has a capitol letter throughout the whole book even when in the middle of a sentence. Having said that i look forward to the next instalment.

Really enjoyed this book. It is not the first I have read or purchased from this author and won't be the last. Will definitely be reading the next book in this series.
