Welcome to Kethelmar: A world where most of the population lives in cavern-cities carved from the mountains rising from a shallow ocean. They are ruled by a handful of Families who keep the people subjugated under the wheels of a subverted democracy called CentGov. The will of CentGov is enforced by the Legion: a para-military police force whose elites are given wing-growth treatments.
Standing aside from this system is the Fifth Column; A disparate collection of deep underground sanctuaries loosely bound together by Lucas, a former elite of the Legion from humble beginnings. Long ago he found himself marked by the regime and fled to the sanctuaries, leaving his life and love behind.
At one time he hoped to rally the Fifth Column, organize them into an effective resistance, and free the people from their oppression. Now, however, he struggles simply to keep his people alive. As the excess of CentGov increase, the Sanctuaries are becoming more and more overcrowded, and resources are growing scarce. He and his inner circle must find a way to feed their growing numbers, and soon, or start turning away those seeking shelter from CentGov or Kethelmar’s criminal underbelly. Not long after that, they will be facing starvation within the Sanctuaries, and the safety they sought to provide will become a dangerous trap.
Join Lucas as he struggles to keep the dream of freedom alive. Wander the caves with him, and take to the Wings of Kethelmar.

Fearadhach MecRaudri (a nom de plume, obviously. The other name belongs to the boring alter-ego with a day job) is an avid reader and writer of Science Fiction and Fantasy. He enjoys the mental play in the realm of ideas, the endless game of ‘what if’ that is at the core of the genre. His days are spent in one of the stereo-typical jobs expected of geeks, but his evenings are spent playing in the realm of ideas and his weekends seeking adventure.
