Hunger eats away at me with every breath I take - I have to fight to keep it inside. I have to stay hidden in a world that isn’t mine. My father is a vampire.
I, however, am much more.
There are secrets my father won’t tell me. Each day that passes, I can feel something inside me fighting to get free. The only time it’s quiet is when the stranger is around. My soul calls to his.
As the world around us starts to change, my true self starts to emerge. But the power inside, once set free, can’t be taken back.
Barb is a Carolina girl by right and a Texan by birth. By day, she’s a desk jockey for a rural transportation company and a book lover, reading through as many books as she can. At night, though, she turns into her alter ego: a writer—cape optional, depending on her mood.
Her stories are a mix of real-life events, personal experiences, and the craziness of her own imagination and those of her best friends. And when their imaginations blend together, it can be crazy. Barb writes in multiple genres, encounters new adventures, creates new worlds, and has a fantastic time breathing life into new stories, creating something she hopes inspires anyone who reads to fall in love with them as she has.
Barb lives by one little rule: tomorrow is never guaranteed, so make sure you live each day to its fullest.
After the way Shifted ended, I was very eager to read Ravaged and find out what was going to happen next. The prologue did a good job setting things up for and intriguing me to dive into the story. I liked the background on these new characters, but I was really thrilled when it picked up where book one left off to continue with the story. It jumped right back into the action that Shuler is so great at writing. I loved the Pyper and how the story progressed with these characters. The events definitely kept me on my toes and the ending left me needing to start Consumed ASAP. I can't wait to find out how this series concludes.
The second part of the trilogy and there is a lot going on. Marissa and Talia form a bond and are awesome. Their new revelations are a surprise for all.
Being careful not to spoil the story for other I will simply say some new characters will draw the bond closer, are hot and adorable, and must work together to save their kingdom, but can they?
When we leave this book, the women must make a tough decision about ignoring a promise and endangering others or being part of the rescue. Enjoy and be patient for part three. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
This is is the second book in this series Talia and her cousin Marissa are a pair to be reckoned with and I would not want to be their enemy. I am not giving this book away other than to say if they keep getting better I can not wait to read the last one of this trilogy
Ravaged : The Oblivion Series Book 2 by Barb Shuler

Talk about a dynamic girl duo. Talia and Marissa are the epitome of awesome! They both are discovering their powers and strengths, and with that comes mishaps and shenanigans that involve EVERYONE!
Marissa is a hand full, to say the least, and her father knows all too well. He's been away for some time, and arriving back to his home, he's met with a very frustrated Marissa. She feels she's been lied to by her father, and wants the truth.
In the light of all the craziness, Marissa has had the support of what's destined to be her soulmate, Demetrius. He's awesome and quite the man to be able to handle Marissa and her many moods. The man should seriously be given a medal!
With the whole gang together, they tend to face their enemies head on, with a few surprises up their sleeves of course. The moment of truth has come and it's about to get ugly. Bring it on!
What an amazing follow up to Shifted. I love the way the author expanded on the story, cast, and world. The new characters make the story more alive and exciting. I can't wait to read the third story. This is definitely a trilogy I will be rereading again.

Part 2 is just as great as the first. Everything is plotted out perfectly. I am in love with this series. Natalia, Marissa, and little Pyper are incredible, strong females.
This continues where the last one left off. It's got even more stuff happening and unfolding. There's no doubt that things are at the peak of what's coming. This is a fantastic book and I look forward to the next one in the series.
