A stolen past

The only thing Tucker remembers of his past is pain. Used in a doctor’s evil experiments, his memories and identity were erased, and his freedom taken. He believed his nightmare was over when he was liberated by the men and women of McKay-Taggart, until he heard the name Steven Reasor. The idea that he could have been involved in the terrible experiments that cost his “brothers” everything crushed him. A desperate attempt to force him to remember the truth almost cost him his life. Now his world is in chaos and his only path to finally uncover the truth and atone for his sins leads to Veronica Croft.

A painful present

Veronica “Roni” Croft knew Dr. Steven Reasor was bad for her, but she also saw a side of the man that no one else knew. Even as she began to believe their employer was hiding something sinister, she was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Their affair was passionate and intense, but also fraught with danger. When he disappeared under mysterious circumstances, she took her first chance to run and never looked back. She has stayed hidden ever since, running from forces she knows are too powerful to overcome. But now the man she believed was dead, the man she mourned, has returned and needs her help.

A dangerous future

As Tucker and Roni unravel the secrets of his past, a dark force rises and threatens to destroy them. Their only chance for survival will require them to join forces with the Lost Boys’ worst enemy. Only together can they finally unlock Tucker’s past. But as Tucker’s memories begin to come back, will it free them both or tear them apart forever?

Veronica. He wanted her. He needed her. She was the one and he needed time to make her see that they worked.

How does she keep doing it? How does Lexi Blake create one addictive read after another. I loved her Masters & Mercenaries series. Then I became addicted to her spin off with The Forgotten. And now the addiction continues. One of the biggest mysteries since the introduction of the Lost Boys back in Submission is Not Enough is the infamous Dr. Razor. Tucker has been desperate for answers about his life and his memories. At the end Lost in You he sacrifices himself for his brothers, but survives. He also gets a dosage of the supposed cure from Levi Green that sends him into a coma. Long Lost takes off immediately where the third book left off. The team is desperately seeking answers while Tucker is still in a coma. The biggest answer might be held by a woman he worked with in Dr. McDonald's lab, Veronica “Roni” Croft.

At one point, Roni and Steven were starting what felt like the beginning of their future. But then everything came crumbling down. Steven disappeared and Roni was left to collect the ashes. Now she's come face to face with him again, but he's not the man she remembers. He's Tucker, and while he knows that they share a deeper connection, his memories are still blank.

The race for answers is on in the midst of a dangerous spy game. There's secrets, betrayals, high octane action. Tucker is slowly getting his memories back, as the rest of his life remains a blur. As each memory comes crashing on him, more and more is revealed, and all of it is mind blowing. I loved the sweet and vulnerable side to Tucker. Especially how it clashes with everything we know about Dr. Reasor. You're as desperate for answers as the rest of these characters. The Roni of today definitely clicked with me more than the Roni of years ago. She's grown a lot and is no longer the naive woman she was. Being on the run for her life for the past few years has certainly forced her to grow up fast. I also loved her ball busting mom.

What I love most about Lexi's world, is that you become so addicted to her characters. It feels like you know them. You're so incredibly invested in them and their lives. You can't wait for more. And this book certainly fed my addiction while still leaving me crave more. Especially since we FINALLY get Solo and Ezra's story next. As for this one, it was everything I had hoped it would be and more! If you're a fun of sexy romantic suspense, espionage, and thrilling action, you can't go wrong with this one. I don't recommend reading out of order, because you'll be missing a ton of backstory. There's an overarching story arc that continues through each book. So while each book is a different couple, the story continues through the series.

Anyone who has followed Lexi Blake’s Master and Mercenaries series, especially those about the Lost Boys has known there were some serious secrets behind Tucker. In Long Lost, we discover those secrets, including the love of his life, Veronica.

Veronica has her own secrets-including her daughter, Violet-who also happens to be Tucker’s baby. Tucker has been torn up by the thought he might be Dr. Steven Reasor, right hand man to the evil Hope McDonald. Veronica knew him as Reasor, but she saw beneath the cutting personality to the vulnerable man beneath.. But when he disappeared, leaving her pregnant, all she knew was danger was waiting for her, so went into hiding. Now she has been pulled out of her quiet life, and her presence in Tucker’s life presents dangers not only to them, but to the entire Taggert-McKay enterprises and the other Lost Boys.

This isn’t the book to tackle if you have not been following the series. The plot twists and turns are bewildering enough with the background, without it, it’s very hard to tell the bad guys from the good. I liked Roni and I adored her mother . Roni is smart, strong and loving and her mom is incredible. Tucker was not as easy to like. While he immediately started taking care of Roni, when she started having doubts, he got angry, instead of trying to work out the issues. His treatment of her when he returned after his injury was pretty awful. And even knowing he was working undercover as Dr. Reasor didn’t justify his becoming “Dr. Razor.”

The book is captivating, holding the reader’s attention as they follow the group from city to city trying to unravel the mystery of who Tucker really is, while dodging the CIA, Mi5, German and French Intelligence, and officials at Kronberg. The characters are well drawn, and we get to meet a lot people we’ve seen before. We also get set up for the next book in the series. The question remains, why hasn’t Damon or Ian already taken out Levi Green?

My god, I just ignored real life and devoured Long Lost. O.M.G. Loved, loved, loved Tucker and Roni!

Seriously, so many of the Lost Boys secrets were finally revealed and I struggled to read fast enough to keep up with all the action.

I loved the relationship between Tucker and Roni. Loved how they both lost everything but somehow never lost the love that they had for each other—even if Tucker didn’t quite remember just who he was in love with.

And noooooo, almost 8 months to wait for No Love Lost? I’ll be waiting with bated breath! ~ Missy, 5 stars

Where do I even begin?!?! First you have to have read LOST IN YOU before this book because there are events that happen at the end of that book that lead into this one.....well, that's my opinion of course. Secondly, I said that that book was about expecting the unexpected and that there was a major curve ball, WELL let me tell you (without giving anything away) that that was NOTHING compared to Tuckers book!

description
Starting this book was like jumping right back into the adventure. Then again that's one of the things I love about this series.

There are these amazing characters that I have slowly been connecting with. They each have been learning and showing parts of themselves even when they weren't the leading characters in the book. Some of the things have been heartbreaking. And then when it's time for them to get their individual books, I get to learn more about them and fall in love with them in a whole different way.

Tucker's book was no exception. He was the sweetheart of the group, but for so long has been rumored to have the darkest past. Bombshells and secrets are immediately dropped on him in this story. But reading as he navigates all of that is what really makes this story. Learning the secrets he was keeping before his memories were wiped was thrilling.

Overall this was yet another fantastic Lexi Blake book. Every time I read one of hers I want to start over from the beginning and binge on them all.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the fourth book in the Lost Boys series, and oh my goodness I love this series so much. I have loved all the Masters and Mercenaries books, but these which concentrate on the Lost Boys are just fabulous. The drama is so intense, these strong men who have lost everything and yet are so good and keen to do right by the world. But do be clear you really could not read this as a standalone and understand the underlying story, so please at least read the previous 3 books in this series.

It is now Tucker's turn to have his story told - he may have had his memory removed, but they all know that he was McDonald's right hand man, so he was on the wrong side at some point. This causes him distress, and really doesn't fit with his personality now at all. As we start to learn more and more about him, and his past, it gets more and more confusing for everyone.

This is a very intense installment, with lots more revelations, and some very worrying developments. I cannot say more, as I would not like to spoil anything - but I can promise you that it is as fabulous as ever. It did feel like we are getting to the heart of the matter, but then again there are more twists and turns that one could ever imagine.

Thank you Lexi Blake for this fantastic series ... now I am going to have be patient waiting for the next one *sighs*

REVIEW: 4.25 stars-- LONG LOST is the fourth instalment in Lexi Blake’s contemporary, adult MASTERS AND MERCENARIES: THE FORGOTTEN erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on six former military soldiers (Jax, Dante, Sasha, Tucker, Owen and Robert) whose minds and lives were eradicated and erased by a secret, military experiment. This is Tucker aka Dr. Steve Reasor, and Dr. Veronica ‘Roni’ Croft’s story line. The Forgotten is a spin-off from the author’s Masters and Mercenaries series where the characters were first introduced and played an important role throughout. I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion, as several story lines are introduced throughout the FORGOTTEN series.

NOTE: If you have not read Lexi Blake’s original Masters and Mercenaries series, their may be some confusion as it pertains to the Lost Boys and their backstory.

WARNING: There are some BDSM scenes as well as Dom/sub sexual scenarios.

SOME BACKGROUND: Several months earlier, the mercenaries from the McKay-Taggart Black Ops group rescued, from an unauthorized military lab, run by Dr. Hope McDonald, six men they labelled the ‘Lost Boys’. With their memories wiped clean, no ID, and no traceable DNA, the Lost Boys were essentially ‘new born’ soldiers trained to kill and destroy. The Forgotten are their stories.

Told from several third person perspectives including Tucker and Roni LONG LOST follows the building romance between Tucker aka Dr. Steve Reasor, and Dr. Veronica ‘Roni’ Croft. Approximately three years earlier Dr. Steve Reasor and Dr. Veronica Croft embarked on an affair in Paris, France but hours later Steven Reasor disappeared leaving an angry and heart broken Roni behind, believing Steven had left her for another woman. Fast forward to present day wherein Roni discovers that Reasor had been Dr. Hope McDonald’s prisoner and fell victim to the same experiments that had been performed on so many others. As Reasor, now known as Tucker begins to recall his memories of the past, our couple must embark on a second chance romance wherein they discover that Roni has been targeted for who she is, and what she knows. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Tucker and Roni, and the potential fall-out as miscommunication and misunderstanding threaten their already floundering romance.

The relationship between Roni and Tucker is one of second chances but Roni has a secret that she knows must be revealed, a secret of which her mother struggles in the face of presumed betrayal and lies. Tucker’s memories will slowly return but his love for Roni has never waivered. The $ex scenes are numerous, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including the McKay-Taggart team, and several characters from the author’s Masters and Mercenaries series including Ian Taggart. Solo and Ezra Fain’s second chance story line is next in NO LOVE LOST (September 2020)

LONG LOST is a story of secrets and lies; betrayal and revenge; family, friendships, power and control. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the romance is seductive and captivating; the numerous characters are dynamic and charismatic. LONG LOST is an entertaining and wonderful addition to Blake’s MASTERS AND MERCENARIES: THE FORGOTTEN romantic, suspense series.

The best Lexi Blake book yet!! Funny, suspenseful, scintillating and full of intrigue. This captivating tale is winding up to a cataclysmic end that will run you through the emotional wringer.

Long Lost is brilliantly written. All of the Lost Boys (well, those that are still breathing) are together and the dynamic between these men is off the charts! Male bonding at its best with Ian Taggart in the mix to instill lots of wit and wisdom which brings the McKay-Taggart sense of home and that sense of joy to my soul making Lexi Blake a one-click author for me.

While Tucker Jones, one of the happier Lost Boys, discovers he was once Dr. Steven Reasor, or the more notoriously known Dr. Razor who worked alongside Hope McDonald during her evil mind altering drug days, as his memories begin to return he isn't sure he is the now gentle man Tucker or the evil Dr. How does he trust his scrambled brain when it's been to tampered with? The one person he feels connected to, Roni Croft. He doesn't know why he trusts her, but something deep down says he does and he will do anything to keep her. Will he always be Tucker or will he be Steven? What memories does he trust?

Roni knew the man known as Steven Reasor. He was kind and sweet to her and he doesn't know it, but they have a daughter together. Her world changed the day he disappeared and she doesn't know who Tucker is. He looks like Steven, but he's also different. Can she trust this new version of the man she fell in love with? When things go sideways she needs his team to help. It's more than just Tucker everyone is after, she may also know more than she ever thought. Can they discover their past together or will time run out before they have a chance at a future together?

Long Lost is soooo bittersweet. One moment you'll be choked up and the very next you'll be chuckling at a witty comment. For Lexi fans there are interconnections to her other series which you will love, but it isn't required for anyone who hasn't read them.  Also, for fans you will love the electric currents leading up to her next book which is going to be another amazing ride!

What do you do when the man you were seeing disappears and you believe he’s dead and then he comes back? That’s what happened to Veronica/Roni, she was a doctor working for a pharmaceutical company in Germany when she met Steven Reasor. Steven was known as Dr Razor and most people were scared of him but not Roni. He showed her a totally different person to her. When they go to Paris, he goes out but never returns. Roni’s boss shows up and tells her a story about Steven using her and going to Argentina.
For a year or so, Roni has been hiding since her sister was killed and she was told she was next. She comes out of hiding because a woman comes and says Steven is still alive. Tucker/Steven was taken and given a drug to help his memories but put him in a coma. When he finally awakens after three weeks, he starts to get his memories back. He was supposed to have some kind of data that told who all knew about what Hope McDonald was doing with the soldiers. As Tucker’s memory returns, will it bring him and Roni closer or rip them apart?
I know I didn’t do this book the justice it deserves with this review but I tried. Surprises, secrets, and action with a little humor thrown in. It usually doesn’t take me long to read Ms. Blake’s books but I really didn’t want it to end. Couple of steamy sex scenes. Tucker is the last of the Lost Boys series but we were introduced to couple of new people. Can’t wait to see what this team comes up with next.

5 Star Review of Long Lost (Masters and Mercenaries: The Forgotten #4) by Lexi Blake

I have been waiting not so patiently for Tucker aka Steven Reasor’s story which is the fourth book in the series. Although you could read as a stand alone, I do feel that you would get more enjoyment if you were to read these books in order, which is what I personally would recommend, but that is just my opinion.

Tucker is part of a group of 6 men who were rescued by McKay Taggart, and now travel the world searching for their true identities since their memories were stolen by experimental drug testing. Each man reacts in varying ways, and for Tucker the realization that he may have assisted in stealing their memories before he had his own taken, almost destroys him.

There were times that Tucker nearly broke my heart, he lives with the guilt that has almost destroyed him and the knowledge that people have died because of his actions.

Needing to make amends, he goes in search of answers which brings him back to
Veronica “Roni” Croft.

Roni knew from the start that Steven would mean trouble for her, although I highly doubt she realized just what danger and complications he would bring into her life. She has been in hiding since Steven disappeared.

Now he has he returned as Tucker, she knows that she will do everything she can to get the men the answers they so desperately seek.

Long Lost is a fast paced story filled with suspense, danger, intrigue one that had me on the edge of my seat. Lexi Blake wove a well written story that had be fully invested from the first chapter to the last.

M/F Mystery, Romance
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This must be read in order. The books follow a progressive pattern and in order to understand what’s going on, you’ll want to read the previous books first.

Veronica (Roni) loves her job. She enjoys helping people and when she is working with McDonald’s project, she knows that something is going on. When we didn’t know in the previous books about her, comes to light. We also get to meet Roni’s mom. She is delightful and I couldn’t help but laugh at her antics.

Steven Reasor, who we now know as Tucker, is hoping to get his memories back. After being betrayed by Levi Green, yet again, Tucker and his brothers are hoping some good comes of it. While he will do everything he can to help his brothers, what he wasn’t expecting was to come face to face with the woman of his dreams.

While sifting through their past, their present crashes in to them with a force that will knock them both over. Questions from previous books will be answered, but more questions arise. I found that I couldn’t put the book down.

This book felt a little less about the relationship and more about the questions that had been posed in previous books being resolved. I thought that it was very well developed and the characters were amazing.

I can’t wait to see what happens next, because now that I have to wait, I’m bummed. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.

I've been waiting for Tucker's story ever since I first started reading about the Lost Boys. He's always been so protective of his brothers, proven at the end of the last book when he sacrificed himself so that one of their wives wouldn't be hurt, but there have also been hints at a much darker side to his past where he might even have been involved in the early experiments they were used in. He still has no memory of his past thanks to Dr Hope's mind wiping drugs but rumours that he might at one point have been her right hand man are driving him insane. He can't bear the thought that he might have been responsible for anyone else's suffering so when Levi Green offered him an experimental cure he took it.

After taking the cure Tucker spent two weeks in a coma while his brothers continued their desperate search for answers. The only lead they have is Roni, a woman who once worked as an intern for Hope but who has been in hiding for the last few years. Roni knew Tucker when he was Steven Reasor and she's the only one who might be able to help him figure out how involved he was in Hope's experiments. Roni remembers two very different sides to Steven, there was the guy at work who most people were terrified of, and the one she knew privately and had a brief but intense affair with. When she meets Tucker she discovers yet another side to his personality she's not quite sure what to make of him.

Tucker may not remember the time he spent with Roni but for years he has dreamed of her face and he knows she was important to him. Now the two of them, along with the rest of the Lost Boys, are desperately trying to piece everything together so they can all learn their true identities and hopefully get their lives back. But their enemies are circling and as Tucker's memories start to return it places them in more danger than ever before.

This series is just getting better and better with each and every book. Tucker is easily my favourite of the Lost Boys and it was so good to see him finally figure out exactly what had happened before his mind was wiped. There were some really heartfelt moments in this book between him and his brothers and I loved the romance between him and Roni. Roni had very good reasons for being wary of Tucker and the rest of the team but she's a fighter so with her mother's support she does her best to help them all. I can't stand Levi so I'm really hoping we'll see him brought down soon, he's been causing trouble for the team for far too long so I'd be very happy to see Ezra or Solo put a bullet in him in the next book (fingers crossed!).

This book. Oh. My. God. This book. It was EVERYTHING. Seriously Ever since the Lost Boys turned up and we got the first hint that Tucker was I was anxiously waiting for his book. With the end of Lost in you I had to wait far too long for the solution and the Happy End i so wished for hi and his woman. I mean, the information we got in Robert's book was... SO MUCH and then BOOM this book came and I couldn't put it down. At All. The things that were revealed about Tucker were heartbreaking and sweet and so completely right for his character, it was awesome. I shed so many tears when we learned about how bad L.G. actually used him and Veronica and their family and what these idiots from Kronberg wanted to hide and everything.
The big finale was great and I laughed so hard about these stupid German business people and then...
Another BOOM and now I'm sitting here again. Waiting for Ezra's book and biting my nails.
I cannot stress enough about how great this book was/ist. Seriously it's one of my absolute favorites of the whole Lexi Blake backlist and I will definitely revisit Tucker and Roni in the future. This is going to be one of my favorite rereads!

It’s finally time for Tucker’s story and Lexi Blake pretty much does a mic drop with this book!

Tucker, the sweetest of the puppies, as Ian Taggart would say, has a stolen past. He’s not loving the few things he remembers or that other people have told him about himself, including how he may have earned the nickname Dr. Razor. Now, he’s in a coma after being given a supposed antidote to force his brain to start reconnecting in ways Hope McDonald’s drug ruined. When he finally wakens, he hears a voice from his past he’s never forgotten even if he can’t remember her name.

Roni Croft thought the Steven Reasor she knew was gone forever. After a night of passion and promises, he disappeared from her life without a trace except for an unexpected visit from her boss, Dr. Hope McDonald, telling Roni she had been used. When she finds out she is pregnant and realizes the lab they had been working in had dangerous secrets, Roni went on the run. But now, she’s been found by Solo and brought in to help with Tucker’s past . . . except she has one heck of a secret of her own to tell him.

Still drawn to one another, Tucker and Roni are caught in a web of secrets and lies. Both pawns to the intelligence agencies of various countries, they work with the McKay Taggart crew and the other Lost Boys to solve what’s left of the puzzle trying to find out who they were before being taken by Hope McDonald and if they ever stop looking over their shoulders at who wants to use them for the secrets their brains contain next.

As the drug given to counteract Hope McDonald’s starts working, more of Tucker’s past is revealed, but will it be enough to save him, Roni and the others in time?

Long Lost was super emotional! There has been so much deceit and so many lies and innocents caught up in a crazy woman’s schemes that have ruined so many lives.

I loved that Roni had seen a different side to Steven Reasor and never believed him to be the Dr. Razor others did. I adored that Tucker knew in his heart that “she” was out there somewhere even if he didn’t know exactly who she was.

Long Lost had pulse pounding adventure. Lexi Blake has masterfully woven so many tangled webs together and some truly shocking reveals come out in this book . . . one that is so emotional that I was smiling and crying at the same time!

I love these Lost Boys who have bonded together as brothers and the woman standing by their sides giving them new lives and memories as well as all of the extended McKay-Taggart crew that have vowed to protect them with their lives as they seek the truth.

And, the end . .. that’s that Lexi Blake mic drop I was talking about . . . let’s just say that the final book in this series is going to be off the hook! 5 stars

Long Lost is the 4rth book in the Masters & Mercenaries: The Forgotten series by Lexi Blake. I honestly keep thinking that the series is called The lost boys and thought of it as such while I was reading this book. The book is not stand-alone and the main plot is a continuation of the third books and will end in the final book of the series which is next. There might be some spoilers from the previous books, but I promise to try and not let any major details from this book slip.

Tucker was one of the most interesting Lost Boys and the certainly the most mysterious. He is the one who looked a lot like Dr. Razor, the man who tortured Rebecca and was considered to be evil and it was very interesting to see how the author would manage to spin things and give closure to that particular plot. It wasn't an easy task, but I believe that the plot had the best ending possible.

The romance in this book was good and there was some angst which I loved. Veronica and Tucker had a history together and it was a good journey to see how they transitioned from the couple they were in the past to been two (in Tucker's case completely) different people whose feelings never went away. Even Tucker's history with the hookers wasn't (very) cringy after finding out everything.

The selling point of this book was the espionage. On that aspect, this is one of Lexi Blake's best books up to date! The story went into places I didn't think it would and it made the book a page-turner for me. It was a thrilling ride and the twists kept coming. The biggest one had to do with the man Tucker was before he became a lost boy and I honestly couldn't believe it.

It was bittersweet to read some parts of the book because I got the feeling that the series is ending and that the men were ready to move on. I loved seeing the guys with their ladies and I chapter before the last was a good ending. The final chapter was a shocking reminder that the series is not over yet and that the Lost boys haven't faced their biggest enemy yet. The series so far has books that I consider winners and I would definitely recommend, all the books so far. I have faith in Ezra and by the end of this book I believe I saw him start pulling his head out of his arse, so there a few ways the final book could go wrong, so I am not worried. Much.

PS. Can you believe that we are so close to Ezra and Solo's book? I can't take it with all the teasing so far and this book tease us plenty. I want Solo to kill Levi and ride into the sunset with her man.

Incredible suspense story with a captivating romance that had me on the edge of my seat. Tucker is one of the Lost Boys but Roni knows him as Steven and he left her 3 years ago when she thought they were starting a new relationship. She has a lot of anger toward him since she ended up a single mother that lost her sister shortly after he left and then she was told he died. Finding out he is alive and goes by the name of Tucker is a shock but Roni is tough and for her daughter, she realizes she needs to know what happened to him. She is still trying to solve the mystery of her sister’s death and maybe there is a connection. Tucker has endured incredible torture while being a guinea pig for mind altering drugs which have wiped out all his memories. But when he sees Roni, she is vision that haunts him in his dreams and brings him peace. In their quest to unravel what Dr. Hope McDonald had done to them, he holds the key if they can restore his memories. This is not an easy feat especially with several governments wanting the answers and everyone playing their own games to ensure they come out with the vital information. I love how this crew of men have created a unique and strong family that will do whatever it takes to save each other. Their ability to embrace Roni and her daughter is wonderful which also is instrumental in a successful resolution. But can Roni forgive Tucker? Will they find that love after the time apart? I loved finding out as my heart pounded through all the crazy twists and turns to the bitter end. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

WOW!
Book 4 in the Masters and Mercenaries: The Forgotten series is another amazing book in this exciting, action packed story.
These books NEED to be read in order as each story builds upon the previous, and focuses on a Lost Boy finding what they need.
If you haven't started the series yet then go. Do it now and then come back to read these reviews, I swear you won't be sorry.

Book 4 is Tucker's story. Tucker the casanova, Tucker the deep-feeling, sensitive man who's whole world had been flipped on it's axis with the revelation from Rebecca (book 2). Just another man with no memory, right? Wrong, so wrong.
Tucker's story is one of discovery and wonder.

This book was intense and exciting, there is action that you've come to expect in this series.
The series story line is really one of the best I've ever read - it's dark, and twisted but not depraved. Every single character has strengths and weaknesses, but they're all so different from one another and they complement each other.
The only complaint (if you can call it that) I have is that I need to wait for book 5.
I need to see how this ends - what happens to everyone once the mystery is solved?
Will there ever be closure?

This book brought the tears, the happy, joyous, everything is coming together tears. The sweetest and the kindest of the lost boys finally gets his HEA, and Tucker needs this so much. He feels deep, he loves loyally, he hurts sensitively. And while none of those seem to go together as descriptors, they completely apply to Tucker. Veronica has been in his mind all along, he didn’t know it at the time, but one look and he knew. Roni has been through so much, and her emotions are all over the place as well. Bad things happen, and happened, to them, but in the end, they figure it out. It really is simple for them, they love each other, and whatever comes their way, they will work it out because they love each other

This story, this book in the series, ends, for the lost boys, on a closure. The driving force, the reason for digging and driving and trying, is almost all done. Our Lost Boys, the Lads, the Puppies, the experiments, the strong and steadfast and brave men, who had lost so much, sacrificed everything, get their new lives back, and the tears flowed then, as they are now as I write this, in happiness for them. Now, it still has a whole great big thing that needs to be resolved, and does anyone else feel like we have hated, just down right hated, Levi Green forever, and will have a huge party when he’s put in his place? When it happens, drinks at my place!

Long Lost by Lexi Blake is bk 4 in the Masters & Mercenaries: The Forgotten series. This is Tucker Jones aka Dr. Steven Reasor and Veronica Croft's story.
Oh my, Tucker's story- I have been waiting for his story! The Lost Boys with their secrets, intrigue, mystery, romance, passion and suspense- it's the bomb!!!
Tucker is the man with no memories. This book sheds light on his past and how what happened to him; We find out who Veronica is to him present and past-wise. It's sizzling- their chemistry and their connection. This was a fast-paced romantic suspense read that will have you rooting for the main characters even when things seem like it's all lost. Past characters make appearances which adds to the story. Loved the emotions and feels that this story gives!! Can't wait for the next book.

My Rating: 4.5 stars ********

Whew... what a rollercoaster ride!

Pretty sure all my emotions arose within this novel and let’s just say; I cheered for my boy Tucker, I shed tears of sorrow, I gasped when the least expected happened and my heart soared when I literally though all hope was lost!

”I’ve missed you all along. I just couldn’t remember who I missed.

To me it seemed that Long Lost was longer than the other novels within the series, or maybe it’s been awhile from the last one, but needless to say I really liked the length. I am beyond happy that we have the ins and outs, the whys and woes of the McDonald drama, but we learn all about Tucker and the regaining of his memory. EPIC guys!!!

You know what else is EPIC?? The ending!! I am pretty sure my jaw hit the floor and this evil person whose been in all these books is back at it again... will Lexi ever just kill him off?!

Yes! Tucker's story 😍 This book was everything I hope for. Fast paced, witty (got to love Tag), with new and old characters making it even better, angst, thwarted love, guilt, betrayal and Sandra!
Long Lost leads us down another twisted path wrought by both Hope McDonald and Levi Green, both despicable characters in their own, different ways, and the sterling efforts of the men and women desperately trying to untangle the webs that have played havoc with their lives. There are many revalations in the course of this book, some shocking, others heartwarmingly wonderful.
With such a great cast of characters and plot, my attention was guaranteed. Add to that the beautiful Tucker and Roni, the ascerbically fantastic Sandra, who is a brilliant foil for Tag, and the other members of the family/team, and we have an absolute 5 star read 💖💖💖💖💖

Whew - after the last story being a damn challenge to get through, the story of Tucker & Roni was classic Blake-lite. Lite, because this series simply does not have the power of its original - nothing (yet) is on par with the greats especially Damon/Penny and Ian/Charlotte. This series is borderline chick-lot. Found here, definite tears and shocking familial connections uncovered - and the main couple is...sweet. But my Earth didn’t move for them to be together.

Luckily, and hopefully a return to Blake-epic, we are now only a Sept 2020 release away from this series ultimate couple, Ezra & Solo.

Whilst Long Lost continues a back story that started in the main Masters and Mercenaries series and transitioned into the spin off The Forgotten books, it is possible to read it as a stand alone story. I say this having 'only' read the first 5 books of the M&M series and #3 (long enough ago to have forgotten chunks) of The Forgotten.

Veronica/Roni and Tucker are extremely well written, likeable and believable characters. I could feel the connection this pair shared right from the off. Whilst there are only a couple of fairly mild/tame sex scenes, I really didn't miss it at all. Quite simply there was one heck of an intrigue filled, action packed plot to enjoy instead. The pace was excellent, the story moved quickly enough to hold my attention but enough time was allowed when depth and understanding were needed.

There were some VERY unexpected twists and turns, in fact most of the time I really had no idea what would happen next. I loved the story, I loved the couple and I can't WAIT for Ezra/Beck and Solo's story.....

I was excited to get to read this book because for so long in this series I have been extremely curious about Tucker, his past, what happened to him, and I wanted to know everything because you could tell he was a good guy deep down. In this book we learn so much about him and the things he has been through and the people he hurt or came to love. It was interesting how the big mystery was tied up and all the things that made me go “no way” or “how will they deal with this or get out of this situation”. The author knows how to draw the reader in and keep them hanging on the edge of their seats wondering what will happen. At times my heart even hurt for Tucker and all he lost, but I was so happy to see how it went and how he got his closure. I don’t want to give too much away because reading this is like watching a movie and I do not want to spoil any of it for anyone because it’s such a great read that you should give it a try so you can be shocked too.

I've been waiting for Tucker's story since we first met him earlier in the series. While all the 'lost boys' stories are intriguing, there was something about Tucker's that really peaked my interest. I'm glad to say that it was everything I thought it would be. The suspense, secrecy, action, questions that needed answers and missing pieces that were slowly revealed all made this a literal page turner.
The relationships between not only the guys, but everyone feels honest and real. They truly are a family and the different dynamics all come in to play. While this brings some closure, there are still some loose ends that need to be addressed and tied up. I can't wait to see where they take us next.

This book was a ride! This book answered so many questions. Tucker didn’t see Roni and Vi coming. I loved his reaction to them. I loved that they knew enough to help her help Tucker. I loved that Roni’s mom Sandra was such a straight shooter. Tag picked up on her very fast. Sandra was funny. Tucker and Vi were so cute. This one had so much action. They were under fire the whole time. Tucker and Robert had so many breakthroughs. I can’t wait to see where where go next! Oh and SOLO???? Omg! 😉

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 “She’d been a dreamer all her life, a romantic, and the idea that Beauty could change the Beast was still the bedrock of her fantasies.”
.
Tucker has lots his memories, used in a doctor’s evil experiments. He was saved and then joined in the group McKay-Taggert. He thinks he’s safe until he hears the name Steven Reasor, leading everything back to Veronica. Veronica knew Steven was bad for her, but she was drawn to him. Their affair was passionate. Until he abruptly disappears and then she believes him to be dead. In danger, she ran and never looked back. Now she learns he’s been alive and needs her help. As secrets unravel and danger threatens to destroy them, they aren’t sure if they can unlock the past or have a future.✨
.
If you love:
•Romantic Suspense
•Mercenaries
•Dominant alphas
•Mystery
•Dual POV
Then this is the book for you!✨
.
If you love dominant mercenaries in a romance suspense then this is for you. This author has taken a series and made crossovers and now a spin off. She does it all! This story was more of a second chance type of romance. The author had me invested in Roni and Tucker’s relationship at the very start. There are so many co-characters throughout this book that you don’t get just a romantic story but a story of friendship and bonding. Oh and there was other types of bonding as well. Steamy kinds.✨
.
This is the 4th book in The Forgotten spin off of the Masters and Mercenaries series. I recommend reading this spin off in order. While I have read some of the Masters and Mercenaries series, this is my first of the Forgotten Series, and I found myself having trouble keeping up with all the co-characters stories at times. Reading in order I think would have made this much easier for me. Overall I got through it just fine and enjoyed the read.✨
