Christmas Harmony

Rate this book
Harmony Young shuffles five-year olds from room to room in the small town of Lewiston in upstate New York where she's always lived. Keeping tiny feet moving in a single line is easier than organizing the town's biggest event, the annual Christmas concert. This year Harmony is determined to avoid the concert at all costs, instead preferring to have a quiet and stress-free Christmas.

Emery Dante travels the world as a chart-topping rock star. Born and raised in Lewiston he fled to find success in Los Angeles but that celebrity hasn't brought him the happiness he yearns for. He fears he may have left his heart behind in Lewiston with his ex-girlfriend, Harmony, whose heart he broke when he left years ago.

So, when the Mayor—Harmony's father—invites Emery home for a special appearance at the Christmas concert, Harmony is pushed into taking part, and the otherwise simple production turns chaotic.

It's going to take more than Santa's elves to keep the paparazzi at bay, single women at home, and keep Harmony from giving and losing her heart to Emery Dante for a second time.

**Experience a second chance romance small town Christmas, with a hot rock star and the girl next door. Described as sweet with a bit of heat, this Christmas romance is a standalone novella with a guaranteed happy ever after (HEA), no cheating, and a heartwarming location**

Born in Liverpool, I started my working life as a librarian and have worked in a variety of jobs since, but none was as much fun as the one that allowed me to write and get paid for it. That was a few years ago, and each year it’s become more and more apparent to me that what I want to do is write full time, a dream that first occurred to me at seventeen.

Like my characters, I love my family and friends, beautiful shoes, anything sparkly, the “occasional” drink, parties, and a good belly laugh. I’m addicted to shopping, chocolate, bubble baths and anything else that smells nice, and the sort of TV programs you’d never publicly admit to watching. Did I mention that, like my characters, I also love dogs?

I’ve lived in England, Canada, and the United States but now call New Zealand home. I live in a lovingly renovated house overlooking Auckland’s beautiful Waitemata Harbour with my trusted Great Danes, Dolce and Gabbana, and their two cats, Charlie and Jamie. The dogs keep me fit and exercised, scare the burglars away, sit loyally by my side throughout my late-night writing sessions, and hang on to my every word when I read my final drafts aloud. They truly are my biggest fans, and I theirs! The cats, on the other hand, hang out by themselves and ignore the dogs and me.

I love my life but not so much that there’s not room to live a load of other lives, through the hearts and minds of my characters, all of whom I adore, and some of whom I’m fortunate enough to call friends.

I love to hear from my readers, and your emails and messages motivate me to keep writing, so keep them coming! I answer every one personally. Here’s how to touch base:

Home For Christmas Series:
Christmas Harmony #1 - Another well written second chance romance by Ms. Jones. This quick read has interesting storylines and good characters. The dialogue is intelligent, and the journey to whether they make it together, or not, is interesting and entertaining. 4*

Christmas Hero #2 - A selfish, insufferable cow paves the way for love between an insecure woman and an Army veteran. Together, they run the cow's business while discovering each other. There are a couple of visits from some townspeople that were in Harmony. I like this story better than Harmony.4*

Christmas Lights series:
Christmas Kisses Down Under #1- A quickly read, interesting story set in a lovely location. The storylines were interesting, but the realistic and likable characters kept the reader immersed in their lives. Well written and entertaining, this is perfect for relaxation with a cuppa and a furbaby. 4*

Hot Kisses in Cold Christmas #2 - A quickly read, interesting story set in London for the wedding of the sister. The brother's turn to discover his heart and she's a little messed up. I loved the continued and new storylines, although I didn't care for her assumptions, eejit. Another well written, entertaining and lovely story by a wonderful author. Read in order for the best results, or not. 4*

London Lights series: Boxed 5*
Meeting Miss Mollie #1 - A well written, heartwarming, funny romance story with wonderful and not-so-wonderful characters. Full of intrigue, suspense, betrayal and a dog makes it difficult to put the book down. This is a standalone in the London Lights series. 5*

Liverpool Kiss - Well written, believable characters; I didn't stop reading until I finished the book. I own Meeting Miss Mollie, which I will be reading soon. I read The Audition, also own, another fun read, which got me started on Ms. Jones. Both books were read in one sitting, they were so good. Luckily, I contacted the author to review her books and received a copy of Liverpool Kiss. * 5*

Cast Aside in Como #3 - Another well written, heartwarming and funny romance by one of my favorite ChiLit ladies. I didn't stop reading until the last page. I love that the story is Italy; didn't care about climbing fences, but the story needed a place to start and this worked out perfectly for the story line. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*

This small town holiday rockstar romance is a cute story but maybe more hallmark than reality. This story is very dreamy and happy, but its conflict is severe and not resolved.
This author does have several Christmas romances with all sorts of storylines. Maybe one of those will have the Christmas feels and fantasy I was hoping for from this story and was just too frustrated with the selfish rockstar to find in this story.

Emery is a big time. Musician living ng in LA and living the dream, but he hasn't forgotten about his ex-girlfriend and his hometown of Lewiston, NY. In a small town where his ex-father is fhs mayor, he gets a call and gets roped into the town Christmas concert.

Harmony is tired, still heartbroken by Emery leaving, and wants nothing to do with him or anyone else. She loves her life, her parent, and her small town, but she is still single.

Emery makes a quick decision which almost leads to a mob situation, and of course, runs into Harmony. He is determined to get his girl back, but he has a lot to make up for. This book gets steamy as they rediscover each other. Wow, Emery sure is something. I don't think there is a word mean enough to describe him. I mean, who would be so selfish knowing what would happen if he left, and yet he chose himself again. Honestly, I'm glad this book ends happily, but she forgives him way too quickly, no yelling, no talking, just smiling.

This book is a great holiday romance story, but I don't think it is very much reality. They had some significant issues to work on, and none of it gets discussed, and when the guy messes up again, he is forgiven so quickly. With her heartbreak and anger, there should have been more of an emotional reaction than what the readers saw.

Really nice Christmas lovesong...
Well written, slightly steamy second chance-at-love-story. Harmony and Emery were so good together. But they let each other slip away. Now they get another chance at real harmony in their lives. But will they be able to overcome their insecurities and won't they make the same mistakes in their lives? I really enjoyed this story.

A sweet Christmas love story with some heat. I liked the main characters, Harmony and Emery, and the funny and quirky bits involving the Christmas concert with an interfering “stage mom”, a talented three year old and a conniving young woman forcing herself on Emery.

I received a free advanced copy of “Christmas Harmony” for my honest review and I enjoyed it.

An easy read with a second chance romance. I liked the H better than the h this time.

The main issue: is the lack of communication can wreck things, which is absolutely true. An too much pride doesn't help things along...

A quick read and perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This one about Emery coming back to boost the small town he grew up in and Harmony helping out for the annual concert in town. Both have past history but how they learn to work together with their own struggles.
