From the groundbreaking Taking Care Trilogy comes a Father's Day Special
What if Father's Day did not only apply to fathers in a traditional sense?
What if Owen wanted to celebrate Dec, his wonderful younger Daddy?
What's to stop Owen from declaring this special day, Daddy's Day? A day for Boys to appreciate the men who afford them to be who they are.
Taking Care-A Father's Day Special is a side story of the main characters in the Taking Care trilogy. A good way to peek into the lives of these characters if you haven't read the trilogy as yet.

This was a super cute, super hot short snippet into near future life of Declan and Owen. Ms Holmes throws in little spoilers as to who is coupled with whom. I can't wait to read Auggie and Charles (Declan's Dad) story. It might prove to be kinky AF and very sweet! A little more is revealed about who Daddy Heath is! OMG, I just can't wait to dig into all these delicious stories! Ms Holmes is a merciless tease! I want them all! NOW!
This short story wasn't for me. I friggin hate when authors do shorts or ficlets that info dump tonnes of plot or relationships that weren't in the previous book and then expect you to just catch up (or, in this case, just roll with the confusion). I see from the end note that Holmes plans to continue the story of Declan and Owen's extended family and friends and this was supposed to act as a teaser, unfortunately, all it did was pull focus from the two characters I had spent the previous two books investing in. Boo and hiss.
Also... We know that the majority of self-published authors write their own blurbs (and usually loathe the task, by the sounds of things), so don't call your own book "groundbreaking" - it's tacky AF. It's also inaccurate.
Cute peek at the intertwined couples of the Take Care of series: Owen & Declan, Aggie & Charles, introducing Baby Brooke, Summer & Penny, and Oscar & Mystery Man, etc.
Love, love, love this series!!! 3 novels and 4 shorts, plus a 2 book spin-off series (Secrets & Scandal about August and Charles). Sexy, sweet and lovely MC's - low angst but a very entertaining story. I just loved getting to know them and watching them fall deeper and deeper in love (plus, pretty darn hot!). Great secondary characters, some of who have spin-offs (still waiting on Ridge & Heath?). This series is definitely read best in order and well worth it. Absolutely going back on my "to-be-read-again" shelf!
This was the first time I read this author and I just could not stop. Looking forward to reading a lot more!!
Oooh I loved this short. It was kinda spoiler-y, but I didn't mind because I plan on reading Secrets next, so it was kind of a relief to read that about Auggie and Charles.
In this future, we learn what Auggie and Charlie have been up to. Declan arranges a surprise gathering for Owen's Father Day. Owen has a different surprise for Declan.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
This is intended to be read after book three but I couldn't wait and got the spoilers and I really don't mind because the boys have me hooked. I could read several books of Dec and Owen and not tire of the two. They are my favourite Daddy and boy, and their fathers day is lovely.
