First published in 1935, this volume contains a fascinating exploration of the work of five world-famous architects, including Andrea Palladio, Lorenzo Bernini, Indigo Jones, Ange Jaques Gabriel, and Christopher Wren. The material was originally based on a a series of lectures delivered at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth between 1934-35. Sir Reginald Theodore Blomfield RA (1856 - 1942) was a famous British garden designer, architect, and author during the Victorian and Edwardian period. Other notable works by this author " New Church" (1890-92), " New House and Gardens" (1891), and " Alterations" (1892). Contents "Andrea Palladio", "Lorenzo Bernini", "Indigo Jones", "Ange Jaques Gabriel", and "Christopher Wren".
