Man Hands #4

Man Cuffed

Rate this book
A new comedy from the USA Today bestselling duo!

Mac
A good cop can always spot trouble. That’s why my senses started pinging the moment I met the hottie next door. The neighborhood may never be the same. First she confuses me for a male stripper and tries to remove my uniform. (The guys on the force will never let me live that down.) And then there’s the breaking and entering.
I don’t know what to do with her. My libido has a few ideas of its own, though. Bad, bad ideas.

Meg
Hey, it’s not my fault that Hot Cop’s nightstick gets excited every time we see each other. And I can’t help that someone broke into his apartment.
Fine—that last thing was totally my fault. And I intend to make amends. So when he needs a date for his sister’s wedding, I’m there. This is right up my alley. I’m an actor. By the time it’s over, his entire family will believe we’re a couple.
Even him.

Warning: may cause unrestrained giggling in public. Contains: a bridezilla with a turkey leg, a flash mob, and a growly hero.

This uniform is not a costume.
This dude is not a stripper.
This dude is an actual cop.
And I’m about to be arrested.

Hahahahahahahahahaha

One of the best RomCom that I have read lately!
Interesting characters, convenient circumstances, fated meetings.
It reminded me Wallbanger in the beginning, but this story is so much better. There is this gruffly sexy cop who is too loud in his bedroom and his unsuccessful actress neighbour who wants to save him from his cheating girlfriend. Or that is what she thinks.
In reality he never had a girlfriend and now he has the perfect opportunity to have a plus one in a wedding he never really wanted to go in the first place.
Such a funny book! Totally recommended.
Actually the whole series is perfect and all the books can be read as standalone.

”MAN CUFFED” is just about the funniest book I’ve read in a while. I lost count over how many times I found myself laughing out loud while reading the hijinks carried out mainly by the adorably charming heroine, Meg. Meg is an aspiring actress who has just moved into a tiny one-bedroom apartment and has a very sexy neighbor who she has a knack for winding up in embarrassing circumstances with over and over again. From the moment they meet, there is an undeniable spark of chemistry between them. I wasn't happy that Meg hears Mac getting it on numerous times with another woman due to having thin walls in their apartment, but luckily that relationship fizzles out early on in the book.

I enjoyed the snarky banter between Mac and Meg. Their journey to true love was filled with endless laughs and scorching hot steam. I especially loved how the book ends a little differently than I was expecting but in no way was it disappointing. It was the perfect ending for these lovable characters.

Here are my overall ratings:
Hero: 4.5
Heroine: 4.5
Plot:
Angst: 4
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

Man Cuffed is the funnest book in this series so far and I absolutely adored it. Mac and Meg had me cracking up at so many scenes, and when I wasn't laughing I was still reading with a smile on my face the entire time.

Meg was a sassy aspiring actress and a lot more down to Earth than I was expecting her to be. She was also a tad crazy at times, especially when breaking into neighbors apartments. But overall she was just really fun to read about and I loved how she seemed to always be in a good mood. It put even my grouchy self in a good mood while I was reading and I really enjoyed that.

Mac was her complete opposite. Even when he was relaxed and enjoying just living in the moment, there was still and underlying seriousness to his personality. Which is why Meg was so perfect for him since she brought out his better side and had him smiling a lot more. But let's be honest here, Meg could make even the Queens Guard smile with her crazy self.

Bottom line, this is a must read! This is the kind of book that will put anyone into a good mood all while the romance has you swooning. If you haven't read the previous books in this series it can be read as a standalone with no problem.

A HOT policeman walks into a bar…

…SHE TRIED TO TAKE HIS PANTS OFF!!!

I can honestly say, that even if I was expecting a stripper to walk into a room, there is NO WAY I would try to take his pants off. That was by far one of the funniest first meetings I’ve read in a wee while. Man Cuffed was exactly the book I needed today. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have again cracked me up, made me sigh and left me thoroughly satisfied. Yes, there were a few curveballs that had me sniffling, snarling and sneering, but mostly, I was reading with a smile on my face.

I have to get something off my chest though…

What the heck is going on with our heroes lately????

This is not the first book that I’ve read recently where the heroine is doing all the hard yards when it comes to the courtship phase. Sure, the hero still brings his *A* game to the bedroom but why the heck are these guys so afraid of LOVE??? What makes it even worse is that these heroes are mature aged men who are over the age of 35. Suddenly, every bloke seems scared of love, commitment and happy ever afters. They’ve been hurt by love and only looking for hook-ups because they’re too scared to put their heart on the line. The poor heroine ends up falling for a bloke that she must rehabilitate first. I know love is hard, but come off the grass, we need another hero like Liam (the hero from Boy Toy) to step up to the plate.

To be honest, when I started reading Man Cuffed I wasn’t sure how it would all play out. At first, I thought Meg was going to be a flighty actress reluctant to face reality. I was pleasantly surprised by Meg and found her to be realistic, sharp and witty. Then, we meet Mac…well, after that first meeting, we mostly HEAR Mac. Meg and Mac are neighbours and they have VERY thin walls. This made me a little uncomfortable for Meg, but soon I realised that Meg was not at all fazed by what she was hearing. It was almost like he was auditioning…and she was IMPRESSED.

So, after my first hesitation, everything was going swimmingly. Besides the little bugbear that I mentioned above, I really enjoyed reading Man Cuffed. Meg and Mac are great characters that I came to love. The additional characters we meet are very funny and I really hope that Cassidy and Lance get a story….OOOOH, maybe they could get a story TOGETHER?!?!? Oh my lordy, that would be funny – Ms Big Brain meets the Cosmo Reading Copper who studies what women want.

The chemistry between Meg and Mac jumps off the pages and I never doubted that they would be perfect together. Sparks were flying after their first touch and when they kiss for the first time, it was electric. It took a while but once Mac admits to his feelings, it doesn’t take long before he’s ready to cuff his Meg to him for life.

I read Man Cuffed in one sitting and I really enjoyed Mac and Meg’s journey to happiness. There were plenty of laughs, lots of sigh-worthy moments and sexy times that left me squirming. Yes, there were a couple of times that I was frustrated, but in the end, I was very satisfied that Meg and Mac had what it takes to make their relationship work forever.

If you’re looking for an entertaining read full of laughs, I highly recommend giving the Man Hands series a try.

After dwelling on this for a few days I've decided to go with 3.5 stars.

Why, you ask?

It started off great!

Meg is sassy and snarky and full of life. Being inside her head was a hoot that I enjoyed immensely. She made me laugh on multiple occasions and that is always a win in my book.

Mac, for his part, is... grump adjacent. He's circling the grump block for sure but he didn't quit grump out enough for me. I more just felt badly for him after the life event he endured.

He is a big un which is another winner for me and he likes to boom boom so things, like I said, started off grand.

Meg and Mac become neighbors and since Mac likes to boom boom she can hear his... skillz through the thin as paper wall they share as well as his dirty talking bossiness!

They clearly have a spark and I enjoyed the balance that they bring and how they seem to bring out the best in one another.

But when it came to their own boom booming I felt like there was this promise of Olympic level fireworks but what actually happened was one weak-ass sparkler.

I also feel like the story fizzled or maybe the denial dragged out so long that the change of heart seemed a little bit too fast and a little bit unbelievable.

Still a fun and lighthearted read. SB and Eby make a good team and I thoroughly enjoyed the new characters that were introduced and am hoping they will make an appearance in upcoming stories.

Meg is 30 and back in her hometown. She left home to become a famous actor. But after over a decade of being rejected for jobs, she's almost given up. Maybe something better will come along.

Something better definitely comes along in the form of über-hot cop Maguire! Insta attraction!

After she almost got arrested for almost accidentally undressing him in public - LOL - she doesn't see him again until she moves in next door to him six months later.

Mac doesn't do relationships, but she's making it really hard on him. Especially when he needs her to be his pretend girlfriend to his sister's wedding!☺

Let the fun times begin!

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MEG & MAC??
WILL THERE BE A HEA??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺

ADORABLE!

Such a cute and hilarious romance!

Meg and Mac are so perfect for each other!

He's a cop who doesn't date and she constantly stumbles into his life in some way - flirting and making it reallly hard for him to resist. Totally adorable!

We also have some family problems - I even cried a bit here and there!

I loved reading this!!!

I so need Netflix to come and turn this whole series into a show!

Romantic Comedy at its best!

Another thing I really like - the setting of these books. We're in Grand Rapids, Michigan. No book has ever stepped foot into Michigan. I really love it when we're in a real place. Not some imaginary town in Anywhere, USA.

MAN CUFFED was such a funny and adorable romance!

Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are back! I’ve been waiting for this book for over a year now, and I couldn’t be happier than I am right now. They both have a knack for comedy and are really talented storytellers, and it shows not only in Man Cuffed, but also in the other three books they’ve written together.

Man Cuffed is the latest addition to the Man Hands series—the fourth book to be precise—but it is a complete standalone and can be read, and thoroughly enjoyed, without having to read any of the others first. Having said that, I would certainly recommend everyone to read Man Hands, Man Card, and Boy Toy because they’re all hilarious and truly wonderful.

Man Cuffed is the perfect combination of laugh-out-loud outrageous fun, sweetness, and steam. It’s my definition of a great romantic comedy. It’s hilarious! Not only are some of the situations extremely funny, you’ll find yourself enjoying the writing as well. It’s witty and filled with double entendres and exceptional one-liners. Also, both main characters are well developed and show growth throughout the story, and the supporting cast will charm you and leave you wanting for more stories to follow. I really hope they keep them coming.

Man Cuffed is the story of Mac Maguire and Meg Matthews. They both have had bad experiences with love in the past, but while Mac is determined to stay unattached and keep things casual, Meg is willing to put herself out there to find someone to share her life with. They end up being neighbors, and although they apparently want different things, they have amazing chemistry and are strongly attracted to each other. Once they get to know each other more, and start hanging out, lines blur and feelings get in the way, making things a lot more complicated.

This is a story of opposites attract mixed with friends to lovers, and a fake relationship thrown in. It’s laugh-out-loud funny at times, a little over the top, steamy and sweet. It also has a certain not-so-hidden depth to it— there are some underlying issues that are not usually addressed in romantic comedies that make it more complex that one originally expects.

I loved Man Cuffed from start to finish, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to laugh a lot, and enjoys well written stories with a compelling plot and lovable characters. Man Cuffed is seriously outstanding.

This was fantastic! Honestly, can you go wrong with Sarina Bowen? I think not. And after reading this book, I feel like the writing pair of Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby is a pretty good bet as well. I was a little hesitant to pick up this book since I haven't read the other books in the series. I decided to go ahead and try it as a stand-alone and it worked perfectly. The only problem now is that I feel like I need to go back and read the earlier books in this series. That's a pretty good problem to have.

This book was great from the start. Mac and Meg meet each other in a restaurant where she is working. She mistakes him for a stripper and tries to take his clothes off but that's just an honest mistake. When they wind up becoming next-door neighbors a few months later, sparks are definitely flying. But Mac is determined to keep his hands off since he doesn't do relationships. But he does need a date to his sister's wedding and Meg is the gal there to help him out.

I loved Mac and Meg together. These two had so much chemistry together I almost felt like sparks were going to jump off the page. I also loved their banter. This book is pretty funny at times and I felt like a big part of that was because this pair felt so real. They were really adorable together in so many ways and I loved the way they just seemed to click.

As you would expect, there was a bit of drama to the story. But it was drama that felt authentic and possible to overcome. If anything, learning Mac's past really made me like his character even more because he has had to deal with things that were pretty intense. It was a joy to watch these two work things out. I loved all of the secondary characters and how they played a part in everything.

I would highly recommend this book to fans of romantic comedies. This book was filled with wonderful characters, a swoon-worthy romance, and quite a few laughs. I cannot wait to read more of this amazing series.

I received a digital review copy of this book from the author/publicist.

Initial Thoughts
Oh my gosh, this was fun! I was a little hesitant to pick up this book because I haven't read any of the earlier books in the series but it worked perfectly well as a stand-alone. Meg and Mac were both great characters and I just loved them together. I loved their banter and thought that their chemistry was fantastic. I thought that there was just the right amount of humor sprinkled throughout the story. Now I want to go back and read the first three books in the series!

Trouble and all. Thats the ending of this book and it is trouble and all. See i love Man Hand. I thought that book was hilarious. So i hurry to pick up the next book in the series, Man Card. To my disappointment, Man Card does not work for me.

When i found Man Cuffed, I hesitate then i decide to give it a try anyway. The first part of this book is super boring. The character introduction, chemistry and the stort development is super dragging. I swear I almost slept. I kept waiting and waiting for that sexy fun sassy moment but never come.

The second half of the book, picked up a bit. But still missing that super fun sassy banter. Nothing makes me laugh nor smile. At least the story progressing in faster pace. Fast enough to make me finish listening to the audio book.

Overall, i am disappointed... again. Man Cuffed overall is dry story. And what makes it worse it does not have that sassy fun cute signature on it.

4 Reading Him His Rights to Happiness Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
I know when Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby get together to do another Man Hands entry, I will be immersed into a romp...A story with serious humor and insights into the characters and their feelings. These two tap into a special blend of seamless writing which only happens when two strong voices merge so well.

This is part of a group from the previous books but there is no need to have read them to enjoy this book. It can be read as a stand-alone.

We have Meg, a woman who is beautiful, smart and has been pursuing an acting career for quite some time.
She is at the point where she is wondering if this pursuit has run its course. As a woman of color, she doesn't want to think it has been a barrier to her career, yet she is also realistic.

Due to a lousy romantic history with lying married men, she recently moved from Chicago and finally moved into her first apartment without a roommate. It is a little pricy but with her new serving position, she is kind of excited to be Adulting.

As Meg starts to settle into the apartment, she discovers something "special" about it; it has extremely thin walls. Now normally it would be a huge issue but when you have a Manly Man Talking Dirty and doing the Dirty Deed with repeated success, then who needs porn. Especially since his voice and growls hit the mental spot for Meg.

The sounds of the man reminded her of a man she met during a time at another restaurant gig. She did something with a mistaken assumption and when she needs a little something-something...she remembers him.

If you want a policeman who looks out for those in need, you would want Mac. This man cares about those who have been victims and wants to help. He the type of policeman others strive to be. He is equally committed to no relationships, just "buddies". His romance history was so traumatic, he has created a set of rules to protect his head and heart.

Mac doesn't pine or linger about women and has someone who he has been "Sharing Time" with...But he did have an experience while on the job that confused him...he crossed paths with a woman who in a moment wormed her way into his head. He even went back to the same restaurant multiple times, trying to see her again.

So here we have these two people who have had some lingering thoughts about each other and when they finally see each other again...it turns out they are neighbors!

Yes, Mac is the one responsible for the Porn Soundtrack of Meg's fantasies...For Meg, seeing Mac and finding out he is the one who makes his girlfriend so happy is not a turnoff at all. She just wishes a little it was her.

Mac is thrilled he finally found Meg. Then he realizes this is the worst thing possible...She is his Neighbor. That is Rule number one...never get involved with a neighbor ever. After all who wants to move if things go south...and for Mac, he knows it would always go south.

So here we have two people who have that special something, chemistry off the charts.. but it will not easily crossover to experiencing it.

Oh, they will...but oh, the way it all comes together!

The trademark of this collaboration with Bowen and Eby is cray-cray situations, out of the ordinary scenarios, and fleshed out characters. They bring serious ideas to the forefront while making you laugh out loud. There is no skimping on the sexy times and the couple is a perfect fit for each other.

This time, Meg was stronger in her understanding of who she was...She decided to lay herself out there and was brave. She had a good set of friends who had her back and they worked perfectly in the story. Mac was more protective and held back. His backstory was painful. His best friend was a hoot and I loved him. When Mac finally got his head on straight everything worked.

This was an easy read and if these two authors wish, I can see another book happening. Hint Hint.

With Man Cuffed Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have once again nailed the perfect blend of laugh-out-loud humor and heartfelt emotion.

Add to that a heroine I want to be best friends with (I freaking LOVED Meg so much!) and the exact sort of growly alpha hero I can never get enough of? 100% Romcom perfection.

I was utterly charmed by Meg’s quirky pluck, and the flashy personality that hid a sort of unexpected quiet strength. I was smitten with her.

And Maguire? Lord, but I love a grumbly, grouchy hero. I love a reluctant romantic. I adore a hero who grunts and growls his feelings. Best of all? That soft underbelly that only his one true love can unmask. He was the perfect balance to Meg’s outrageous, flighty personality.

This series has been such an unlikely hit for me. During a time when I consider myself romcom fatigued, these books keep me laughing and smiling while setting my heart aflutter and my pulse to racing. Meg and Maguire were completely adorable, sensationally sexy, and a complete delight to read.

In the end, Man Cuffed was another deliciously addictive, super satisfying love story from this dynamic duo. Full of zany antics and sweet friends-to-lovers vibes, It was light on angst, heavy on humor and I loved every moment! ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

AHHH!! I have enjoyed the previous books in the Man Hands series from both Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby and was super excited to read Man Cuffed. Maguire and Meg were super cute. There were moments where I couldn't stop laughing. I enjoyed their banter and the build up of their friendship.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am hit or miss with romantic comedies as sometimes the humor and I don't mesh well but Man Cuffed hit the perfect spot. It was funny and cute. I found Maguire and Meg to be adorable neighbors and friends (with benefits) who realize there is a magnetic pull between them. This was a great, fun read.

Overall, this was the perfect low-angst, humorous read to sink into. I rooted for them right off the bat and hope we see more from this gang in the future! 4 Stars, Ratula

I am finding it really hard to try and put my thoughts into order about how I feel about this book. I think I liked it. And I didn't put it down once I started it.

I liked Meg. She was comfortable in her own skin even though she wasn't quite sure where her life was heading. She never doubted her own worth or act like a doormat and I really respected that she embraced her faults as much as her strengths.

But Mac was a whole other issue. And while I could understand that what he went through was a major betrayal 10 years is way too long to let it dictate your whole life. I really liked the first introduction between him and Meg. But from there he just went downhill fast. And I didn't get nearly enough grovel.

So I guess it's probably a 4 star read since I enjoyed the story and I liked Meg. And really I should take my own advice and get over my issues with Mac.

Bowen & Eby are back with the arrestingly funny addition to the Man Hands series!

It’s a hilarious case of mistaken identity when Meg incorrectly pegs “Hot Cop” Mac as a stripper. Having his uniform torn from him is not how he envisaged his shift going, but that’s exactly what the nutty waitress at his call out attempts to do.

He's pretty much reconciled that he’ll never live it down at the station, but what he doesn’t expect is his ‘would-be’ offender moving in next door.

Meg is an entirely endearing character and whether it’s a role or a feeling, she immerses herself with unashamed abandonment. Off the cuff their personalities may make them appear as an odd pair, but they complimented each other so well, they could easily handle themselves against any of the best buddy cop duos.

There is little defence against the this Bowen & Eby when it comes to raising laughs, and as is the case with of Man Cuffed, they continue to maintain their right to remain sexy.

I absolutely loved this book! I love feisty frisky Meg. Mac is a grumpy growly, hard to resist hunk of man.
The meet- cute is NOT to be missed. A crack up , but not too OTT. Ha, Meg is on fire- funny but sincere in her efforts to be in charge of her success and building her acting career.
Mac and Meg are 180 opposites, but.... they really do compliment each other.
I enjoyed the plot too. Of course, this is character driven. but I do like the set up that puts Mac and Meg together. The lead up to Mac and Meg fake- dating is really fun to "watch". Their chemistry is off the charts.
Mac wants to bring Meg to a family wedding to show his family, that he's OK. The "WHY" is explained in due time.
There's some wrinkles in their plans--of course-nothing is all smooth!
I love the humor. I've been missing a good (REALLY GREAT) RomCom. Tanya Eby and Sarina Bowen are a great co-author team. So much energy. There is so much heart to this story.
Meg is one of my favorite, lovable heroines. She's such a strong person without being too kick ass.
Mac is a big softy. I found that out near the beginning of this book.
Mac's family members were kind of big jerks in playing favorites... Kinda seemed too real there!
I read this ARC (from the author) but I really do think I need to listen to the audio too. Hurry!
This is a standalone, but the previous Man Hands books are great too. Read them!

This book won't work for everyone hell, I did not enjoy it at the start as it had my pet peeve, showing H on page OW. You see our hero doesn't do commitment (of course he has a reason...his twin stole his fiancee), and the heroine his new neighbour hears hero & his hook-up of the moment going at it for a week, weeks? How romantic! Honestly, there was no reinventing the wheel here and I didn't see what the heroine liked in a an immature hero. She could have done much better.

“Can I borrow a cup of sugar?” Her smile grows mischievous. “Is that a euphemism? Please say yes.”

I swear this series just gets better and better. Meg was the best!! She was funny and light. She was sunshine and kittens. She was freaking delightful! Mac was growly and prickly. He was stubborn and strong. They balanced each other so well!! She made him laugh. He took care of her. Even with all the side drama with his twin brother. That drama was juicy! It was a very cute romance.

Highly recommend!

Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are back with the latest standalone in their entertaining Man Hands series. Right off the bat I knew Man Cuffed would be a quirky romantic comedy.

Meg is a struggling actress who works as a serving wench at a Renaissance-themed restaurant. While slinging ale and turkey legs for a bachelorette party, she mistakes Macguire, a real cop, for the party’s police stripper. Strippers at a Renaissance pub?? That’s Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby’s kooky sense of humor for you. I loved it.

Meg, Meg, Meg. She’s the real star of the book, and oh how I adored her cheeky, magnetic personality. Faced with a decade of rejection, Meg is beginning to doubt her career choice. Even so, she remains easy going and positive.

Meg is biracial, and I really appreciated that the book touches on how difficult it is for minorities to get a break in the entertainment industry, but the story doesn’t dwell heavily on it. Meg’s race isn’t even a factor in her relationship with Mac, who is Caucasian. I love seeing more biracial romances that mirror real life.

If you’re looking for the whole package, Macguire is your guy. He’s gainfully employed, a magician in the sack, and he enjoys rescuing damsels in distress. However, he is emotionally unavailable and is not willing to commit to a romantic relationship – especially a potentially messy one with his next door neighbor. Mac refuses to act on their mutual attraction, and I enjoyed both the flirtatious build up to their affair and the payoff. It’s fun watching Meg draw Mac from his shell.

There’s some family drama that didn’t quite ring true for me, but it’s a small part of the story. I had a massive perma smile on my face while reading Man Cuffed. From the meet cute at the beginning to the hilarious epilogue, this screwball rom-com is a delight.

Spirted, sexy, and outrageously funny!

Man Cuffed is a witty, engaging tale featuring the spunky, spontaneous Meg whose determined to enjoy the company of the cop next door, including all the equipment he’s packing, and the well-built, studly Mac who may eventually realize all his efforts to remain just friends with his hot neighbour are futile.

The writing is crisp and whimsical. The characterization is spot on with an incredible cast of characters who are charismatic, quirky, and unpredictable. And the plot is an irresistible blend of family, friendship, light drama, shameless flirting, tricky situations, awkward moments, hilarious hijinks, and steamy romance.

Overall, Man Cuffed is another saucy, humorous, wildly addictive novel by Bowen and Eby that once again proves that when these two authors get together, the result is always exceptionally funny, highly entertaining, and a true guilty pleasure.

Thank you to Nina Bocci, Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

"It is awfully easy to be hard-boiled about everything in the daytime, but at night it is another thing.”

Well this was very entertaining and funny. Meg is a waitress and an aspiring actress and Mac is a cop. Their first meeting is a bit unconventional, meaning Meg thinks Mac is a stripper and tries to peel his clothes off. That was hilarious to put it mildly.

Fast forward 6 months , Meg moves in a new apartment, and the neighbor next door - a very loud one and sexually active- is none or less than the sexy cop.

From there on a friendship and a deal starts between these two, Meg is gonna help him out as his date to his sisters wedding. Their chemistry is palpable, the banter is funny, the sex is hot , but Mac is so closed off that doesn't realizes what he had all this time under his nose until that something has had enough of his hot and cold behavior.

They are cute and sweet together , and lets be honest.. WHO CAN RESIST A MEN IN UNIFORM? nor me..that for sure..

“He’s got three legs!” She sounds overjoyed.
“Three legs?” What the...
Then Cassidy realizes her mistake. “OH MY GOD THAT’S NOT A LEG! It’s not a leg!! Abort mission! Pull me in! Pull me in!!”

Man Cuffed is the hilarious story of one out of work actress and one not-a-stripper cop. Meg and Mac are pretty funny and the story is pretty light throughout, and frankly, I needed that.

Meg was instantly likable! She is struggling with an early midlife crisis-she has returned home after failed attempts at acting and relationships. I really thought she was endearing. There is plenty of sparks between Meg and Mac, despite his amorous activities on the balcony with another girl (before he and Meg hook up). I was a little put off by that, but Meg wasn't. In fact, she was kind of impressed by her neighbor!

Man Cuffed gives us the fake relationship trope and I am always here for that! Mac needs a date to his sister's wedding and Meg is willing to oblige! I mean, she is an actress!

In true Rom-Com fashion, there isn't a LOT of angst in Man Cuffed, but there is a tad. Mac can be a bit of a commit-aphob which was a little annoying at times. Meg was kind of the leader in the relationship; Mac was super hot in bed, but out of it, there were times he was a little skittish. She is the one really bringing her a game in the flirting. However, its nothing that wrecks the story! There are plenty of swoon worthy moments to make up for Mac's dumb ones!!

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

It took me a while to get into this one, which is why I haven't rated as high as I would normally like to with Sarina Bowen books. I have been enjoying getting to know all the various characters in this series, and I do vaguely remember Meg from her sister's book.

I liked that Meg was a pretty quirky and funky character. I also liked that she didn't take any crap from anyone. She was a fun character to get to know. Some of her antics were quite over the top, but things just seemed to work for her and her personality.

Mac was an enigma all of his own, although he was a very frustrating one at times. I liked that he was uprfront with Meg from the start, but he also needed a bit a kick up the bum or a slap around the head to just come to his senses at times.

I did also think that when it came to the grand gesture part of the book, it kind of fell a bit flat. I mean, the situation was a bit out of his control, but still. I would've liked something a bit...more...I guess.

I liked many of the secondary characters, even some that I didn't think I would like, and these guys played a bit of a role in the character development for our main pair which was great.

Overall this was still a fun and easy read.

I can always count on Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby to give me a laugh out loud romcom. This was such a fun book from start to finish! I am a huge fan of the Man Hands series and a big part of that is because each book is just fun, playful, and low drama. There is no heavy lifting, but there are plenty of hilarious moments that will have your stomach cramping from laughing so hard. This is book 4 in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. I do recommend all the previous books though, especially Boy Toy, since some characters from that book do appear.

Mac and Meg are quite the pair. They have amazing opposites attract chemistry and I loved seeing them verbally spar and push each others buttons. Meg's sunshine and rainbows personality was such a great contrast to Mac's gruff and grumpy attitude. Their back and forth banter really heightened the sexual tension. I'm not usually a fan of the manwhore type hero, but Mac definitely grew on me, especially after his history was revealed. (I wouldn't have minded if some of his extracurricular activities in the beginning were left out though.) There is a bit of drama and pushaway late in the story, but it's resolved just as quickly and the epilogue was the perfect way to bring the story full circle.

One thing I really loved about Man Cuffed is the diversity in the book. I really appreciated how it was incorporated and discussed in the story. The book is also filled with fantastic secondary characters, like Mac's partner Lance. Their bromance was THE BEST! Lance stole the show every time he appeared and I would love to see a book for him (or Aubrey or Cassidy) in the future. Man Cuffed is an entertaining and lighthearted read that you don't want to miss!

Yay for another Bowen/Eby collaboration! I couldn't wait to get my hands on Mann Cuffed.

What an adorable and cute story. Meg and Mac had me laughing in the first chapter.

However, after that it did take me a while to really settle into this one.

I loved everything about quirky Meg. She was just fabulous. It did take me a while to come around the Mac, more than it usually takes me with a character in this series. I just wanted to shake some sense into him half the time. He does have his moments, but gah he frustrated me so much.

There were some great secondary characters. There were a few that I was sure I wasn't going to like, however this delightful duo wrote it so I couldn't help but like them.

Overall though, this story did fall flat for me. It was sweet and cute, however there was a whole lot of nothing much happening for most of the book, and it really lacked the oomph that the other books in the series have had.

I do look forward to more from Ms Bowen and Ms Eby though.
