Anaïs Phalèse plays softball, panics about her physics exams, and lives on what the rest of the interdimensional realities dismiss as Boring World . . . better known to us as "Earth." That is, of course, until one fateful trip to the organic food market when Anaïs gets shot in the arm while trying to help a bizarre and beautiful stranger. This is the fabulous Fauna Lokjom, Licorice Princess of Candy World, and Anais wants to find out a lot more about her!
Fauna is on the run from a terrible arranged marriage back home, but there’s much more at stake than that; her betrothed seeks to conquer Boring World and needs her help to do it. While Anaïs and Fauna try to save the planet and make the most of their budding relationship, they’re imperiled from all sides by intergalactic bounty hunters, stabby pirates, weaponized mimes, and an idiotic federal agent. The chase is on, and nothing can prepare you for the dimension-hopping erotic adventures that come next!
A profoundly silly and sexy sci-fi romp for adults, THE COMPLETE CURVY collects the wildly popular webcomic in a gorgeous two-color single volume for the first time ever.
This book is very fun. It's very happy and light hearted and doesn't take itself too seriously. The plot isn't super complex but is enjoyable to read, and I was intrigued by the magic system. The illustrations are well done and enjoyable!
Content Warnings Graphic: Sexual content, Sexual violence, and Kidnapping
I LOVED THIS! Be aware that there is graphic sex on every page, but it does say "Adults Only." And no, I didn't just love it for the sex, the story and characters are so intriguing and captivating that I read it in one sitting. But also, the sex.
An erotic epic of absurd adventure across multiple dimensions. Princesses, mermaids, aliens, pirates, superheroes, evil corporate executives, and more clash and copulate for more than 500 pages.
It's all very silly, sexy, and fun.
Side note: The book is so thick and heavy, I strained my back trying to hold it up with one hand while walking. (And no, my other hand wasn't doing anything inappropriate.)
I remember this webcomic from way back, can't remember how I found it. Cool to find it again in a format that I can keep. I never got to finish it. Theres A LOT of sex, but I do like the wacky premise of candy people, world hopping where the worlds just get weirder and weirder.. sex magic, odd but fun characters (such as a transman mermaid that is also a transland person), ect. Its just really all over the place so you don't get bored. Just don't think too hard about the plot and go with the flow. Put on your bra(that is someone just holding your boobs) and have fun. Like someone else said I had no idea a dude wrote this. It just feels so weirdly feminine. I'd give it a 4.5 bc I wish there was more world building stuff explained but honestly.. im just being picky. Its really fine as is. So maybe 5 idk.
I read part of this years ago, so I was determined to finish it now that I had it in hand again so my girlfriend could read it.
Curly is a wild, sexy romp across a zany multiverse where everyone is horny, all the time - and it's actually one of the best depictions of female desire and pleasure I've ever read. Heartfelt, whimsical, and really, really fun to read! Definitely read this in private, though - there's maybe 20 pages total without a dick, bare breasts, or a vulva in this whole book.
The Complete Curvy can be summed up in three words: multiverse hopping sexcapades. It is weird, and I cannot tell if that is good or bad. The artwork has a unique feel to it that stays consistent throughout the collection. It fits the tone and vibe of the story. The chapter pages were clever. There are plenty of unique characters, and I appreciated the diversity of sexual orientations and relationship structures. However, I found myself struggling to keep track of characters at times. I also thought the story dragged in a number of places. Though there were moments where I chuckled, a lot of the humor came off as tired too. As I think about this experience, I do not feel much. It failed to elicit an emotion or reaction that stuck with me, despite it being a well crafted story on the surface.
If the challenge was "make a graphic novel inspired by a 90's hit song" this one is definitely "Sex & Candy." Done in the hip cartoon style of "Adventure Time" or "Midnight Gospel," CURVY is full of pastel pink and mint colors, wacky characters, and wild surrealism.
It is also full of nudity and screwing. Characters meet and are almost immediately getting busy. It is constant to the point of ridiculousness. It got to the point where I was really wishing these characters would get some other interests, or take a cold shower, or something.
CURVY is super silly and over-the-top ridiculous, and is fully aware of this fact. It never takes itself seriously, and if you're looking for a surreal cartoon starring some very randy characters, this is your comic.
500 pages of enchanted wish fulfillment that unfurls in a blur… This was a total accidental discovery I’m so glad fell into my lap. Reminiscent of Steven Universe and very, very uh, mature so best not to read on the train lol. Everything from character design to dialogue to plot twists was a total joy and impossible not to root for!
Still reeling over the fact this was written by a man. Loved every second of this wonderful, fun, truly *graphic* novel. Thnx for the fantastic representation & art my guy
Kind of can’t believe I made it through the whole thing. It never quite got bad enough to make me want to quit, but I don’t think I liked anything about it either…
The dialog is so awful that I gave up on reading halfway through the first world. However, the artwork is very nice. I love the limited color pallet and stylistic proportions.
When I picked it up, I didn't realize h o w erotic it was going to be (which is on me, I was in a rush). Again, the art is beautiful. However, it's hard to enjoy the erotica when the jokes said during sex scenes are sooooo corny. The only people I'd recommend this to are adults who are new to queer erotica
A playful, imaginative sexy romp of a graphic novel. Yes, there is a sci-fi/fantasy plot that entertains, but with all kinds of sex scenes every 6 pages or so, this puts the graphic in graphic novel. (Available at a certain academic library for, errr, research purposes...)
I finished....60% of this. The art is so cute, the smut is hot, but the story is just so unhinged and gonzo that I kinda got bored of it after a while.
I know it's an adult comic, however, there is pornographic imaging on every page just for the sake of pornography and not a whole lot of actual plot or reason.
A very horny book that manages to stay fairly lighthearted and silly throughout, it had me invested only a couple pages in. Highly suggested if you're into sexual scenes and also silly adventure
